in reviewing strictly the garden center section. Which is disorganized, messy and stressed plants. This has been normal especially from my experience from working at Lowe's. But I don't recommend buying plants from Lowe's because they do not take good care of their plants. their new plants tend to die very quickly because how they maintain them. A positive tho is if you get them the minute they get delivered to the store you will get a great plant for a cheap price compared to other garden nursery's. Their employees tend to not know much about plants either. so they are not helpful. The employees tend ignore your presence when you are there as well. I highly recommend Home Depot over Lowe's especially for their plants. read more

I walked in and was greeted! I'm walking around not expecting any help, was I so wrong! Employee said hello and pointed me in the right direction. With my cleaning supplies in hand I was on a hunt to see if the rented tools. I must have looked likeI needed help and. Young man in the Pro section asked me if I needed help. He didn't know the answer to my question but directed me to a man next to him that answered my question, very politely. I think that's the most proactive assistance I'd ever received from a hardware store... well more than that other one. Nice folks at this store. Very helpful. read more

I usually say that these big box hardware stores are all the same. I've made many comparisons between the blue and the orange, too. But not all Lowe's are created equal and the last week has proven it. I've been working pretty hard on a large irrigation project and made several online orders from specialized retailers, but after many frustrating shipping delays and one piece that still, after many days, has not shown up, I was at wit's end and just needed parts in hand. Enter Lowe's. I've checked several parts and several places over the last few weeks and for whatever reason, this Riverton Lowe's has more irrigation pieces in stock than anywhere else in SLC and was second only to the Lehi store. Surely this is strategic and someone in their data department could tell you the exact reason why, but all I know is that they had what I need in a pinch. The garden center here on the whole is pretty good, but this time of year it's a fool's errand to get PVC pieces at any Lowe's. It's awful, everything is mixed up, and they don't have anything that you need. That's a universal truth. It's a ways out there in Riverton, so it's not a stop I'll make too often, but it's good to know that I can find pressure reducers and inline filters here when I need them. read more

When my wife hears the words "so, I have an idea....." she knows that her weekend has just been claimed. But don't let her fool you, she loves it! We found ourselves in this situation recently, and a trip to the home improvement store was warranted. I like this store because it's well-laid out. (Except for the ever-annoying Christmas display that visually assaults you the moment you set foot inside after summer.) I just quickly avoid that section. Ordered 3 cans of primer online because they would do same day delivery. Everything seemed like it was going well. Got an email saying they delivered them. They never showed up at my house. Called them to tell them this and in a rude way they just said "ok" and put me on hold for half an hour. I hung up and tried to call back. After two attempts of 10 minutes each waiting for them to answer I gave up. I called the general customer service and they were no help. They said they would open a review and I should hear back in less than a day. It's going on 3 days now and nothing from Lowe's. We found out they delivered it to a neighbors house. If we didn't find them ourselves Lowe's would have been very happy to take our money and ghost us. read more

Every time I come to Lowe's looking for something . I sometimes find it. But I end up going to Home Depot. Not sure why. Maybe price? Last time I went I was looking for cactus/succulents and they said they weren't getting a shipment until end of March. Whoa! I guess it's not the season. We rented this carpet cleaning machine which is $29 for 24 hours pretty cool. But you still need to purchase the solution. Depending which employee you get you may get good service or ok service. Can't speak for them all so far it's been good for me but I do use the self checkout most of the time. read more

I had a great experience with Laura DeFendis at Riverton's pro desk. I needed a quick turnaround on some lumber and none of what I needed was in stock. Laura sourced, priced, and delivered the needed lumber in the short timeframe I needed. Since I was project manager for a house interior/exterior renovation and had my own business she walked me through setting up a pro account to receive use the Pro $20 delivery option, as well as get a great discount on the lumber. She was efficient, friendly, helpful and gave constant follow-up on where she was in the process. Laura is a credit to their pro desk. I mentioned her name to some of the contractors working on the project and wasn't too surprised to find most knew her and head the same experience I did. read more

In the meantime I am spending lots of quarters at the local laundromat. We called the number on our email & they said they would be right out with our order . It only took them 3 minutes & they brought it right out to our truck ! We were very impressed ! So I checked into our local Lowe's over the weekend to get some supplies. Now usually with these places it's a mad dash with the cart up and down the aisles for me while trying to find what I need so I can get back to the fun project I'm working on (okay, in this case I'm actually buying supplies for doing yard work - so that would be fun spelled PHUN in quotes and with a Q in it somewhere). So since I really had no reason to hurry (blasting the weeds could wait!) I decided well, let's spend the time and really see how these guys can do should I decide to review them on Yelp. And here it is! Actually, service here was great. All the staff were very friendly and courteous, and believe me usually I'm trying to run away from them since I don't want to be asked if I know what I'm looking for (where's the fun in them pointing you to where it's at?). I actually will say, when staff ask first how you are and THEN if you are finding what you need it goes a long way. Then when I indicate it's fine, I know what I'm looking for and they say okay, and have a great day - well they're onto a winner with me. I cannot complain in the least, especially for a big chain store like this. Also, store is actually well arranged and well sign posted. Even though I've been to this particular Lowe's enough times to know where things are generally, I've always felt it was pretty well organized and easy to navigate. They had exactly what I needed, at a reasonable price, and checkout was smooth and friendly too. Personally I find Lowe's good for yard/outdoor supplies, with the exception of some of the more special items I need for which I go to places like IFA for. Certainly it's better than its big chain rival (though they are good for other things, I'll review them next time I visit - you know the one I mean!). All in all - a good overall experience. They have a good stock of things to help with your home improvement needs. 80% of the employees are knowledgeable enough to point you in the right direction of where to find what you need. And you can typically get in and out quickly. I'm not too confident in asking "how too" questions here like you'd do at a smaller business. So I'll resort to YouTube for those questions. read more

I ordered some fairly basic kitchen cabinets online on February 22nd, to be delivered to the store and for me to pick up. Pretty simple. The original delivery date was mid-March. About a 4 week lead time. Long, but ok. Mid-March came and went--no cabinets. They blamed covid. I get it. They promised to track it and call. Nobody called. Tried again. Nobody called. Finally got someone to call me back and say they'd be there last Friday (May 8-2 months after the promised time). I went on sat. They're not there. "Check back Monday or Tuesday. " I called. Still not there. Coming up on 3 months for 2 cabinets that I still don't have. Needless to say, I won't be doing anymore online orders from Lowe's. My first set of cabinets came through HD and that went very smoothly. Lowe's apparently hasn't figured it out. read more

After my husband had given the second order number, the customer service representative Madi got very rude and asked how many orders we had to pick up. Extremely rude and unprofessional, my husband explained that there was just the one more after the number he'd just given her. But she was very rude and unprofessional the entire time.. We will never again be using this Lowe's store. Now I know why we have always used Home Depot. Never had a bad experience with customer service with them before. read more

I love Lowe's and have probably had good experiences at this specific one but how I was just treated here has pissed me off so much that this store gets 1 star based on these 3 employees lack of care or customer service. Apparently it is annoying to these employees when a customer interrupts their side conversation to ask a question about a product and then unapologetically and flippantly says "well you can just go online and get it" not realizing or caring that i have just spent 1/2 hr coming to this store to pick it up and will now go back 1/2 hr. I completely understand not having parts in stock, i could easily have checked the database for this part online. So, my husband looked online for a piece he needed for his drill. Lowe's showed they had 24 in stock at this Riverton location. We get to "tool world" and had an associate named Diego helping us! On the website it showed the exact location for the gator grip but Diego told us there was a reset and it just got moved. He walked us back to plumbing to see if it moved back there and it was not there. Then he looked at the Clearance bins for the new markdowns and he still couldn't find it. After 5 minutes he told us to go buy it at Home Depot because they definitely have them too. So now we are driving to Home Depot to give them our business! As a store manager myself, the last thing I would want my associate to do is to recommend a competitor store. He hardly even tried to look for it and pretty much just gave up after 5 mins. The one star is for the employee named Scott, who after all the chaos, assisted us, and was so helpful. Wish I would've worked with him from the get go, but unfortunately every freaking employee we spoke to before him, was a COMPLETE A** HOLE! They were idiots, and so rude! First employee I came across, I asked for a mask politely. She dragged her feet and had a frown the entire time, and threw the mask at me, as if I made her do SO MUCH! The second employee we asked a simple question, if we could basically take the sample rug. She mumbled and said something off from what I asked and I said "I'm sorry I don't understand" and she sighed and gave all this attitude trying to explain again. My boyfriend was even like "wtf? Why was she so rude to you? Geez" and so I left while she was talking. Scott has been standing next to her and she wouldn't let him talk because he knew what we were asking. Stupid b****. The next employee looked up another thing we were looking for and sighed and dragged his feet while taking us back to the same lady. I told him thank you over and over and nothing but a frown. The last AMAZING employee was Scott and he helped us find everything we needed and we left after him. Thanks Scott for making us feel more welcome! We appreciate you! All the other employees, there's a million other jobs in this world, if you hate it so much and wanna treat people like complete sh**, then leave! Simple! Or else, start treating people better and get enough sleep so you're not grumpy as hell. So annoyed. read more

This place is awesome. We have come in several times looking at riding mowers and applied for the credit card several times. Due to us having a new address we got declined. Finally we decided we were done with trying to get the credit card. The only reason we wanted one was to get the 10% off they currently have as a promotion. We spoke with a man i believe was the customer service manager and told him what we had gone through trying to get the card. He ended up honoring the 10% off even though we didnt get the card. The customer service department provided exeptional service. We will definitely be coming back here for future purchases. read more

We have dealt with Lowe's Stores for years and the Riverton Lowe's is a different experience altogether. We are doing a remodel on a newly purchased home in South Jordan, replacing flooring, countertops and painting. Struggled with the whole process when dealing with this location. :( We did get products from the store that we are satisfied with, we just have not been given help in the areas needed. We were told to get our own corbels for a large granite island, given flooring estimates that were out of line with all other estimates we received, we went with another flooring company. They need to be more knowledgeable and or willing to share their knowledge. Even given wrong advice on a window covering. read more

I was completely frustrated with my current shower head and so off I went to my local Lowe's store in Riverton. Upon arrival there were so many choices I was even more confused. How would I ever be able to choose the right one for my needs? I didn't understand how to decipher the numerous specifications on the packages and I didn't even really know what I actually wanted. Associate Troy arrived on the scene to help me figure out exactly what everything meant and we narrowed it down to the In2ition model 75588. He then consulted with Mike who confirmed that we had indeed picked a good one for what I wanted. My husband installed it that night and oh man the next mornings shower was glorious! Tons of water flow with some nifty little additional features and a super long hose for a hand held head. I am so happy right now! Over the moon! Thank you Troy for your attention and awesome help in finding exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely be back to this store asking for your help in the future. read more

I visit this Lowes every couple days it seems for something that I need for the home. Some really amazing employees and some really bad duds. The duds couldn't find items that showed in stock online and the awesome employees helped me ship in items from 3 other stores in order to complete my order as well as helped consult with me and bring a great suggestion for my project. Very happy with this Lowes with the exception that they need to stock more since it seems they run out of items often. Best people I have found typically hang out by the mowers and grills. read more

When I was shopping here, they didn't have any carts inside so my husband went out the in doors to go get one so he didn't have to walk all the way around to get one. I was standing by customer service waiting for my husband and the older lady with short blonde hair at customer service comes over by me and hangs over the counter with her elbows on the counter and her head in her hands just staring at me like I was going to steal something. She didn't even quit staring at me until my husband walked in with a basket. I didn't even have anything in my hands, I was just standing near the counter waiting for my husband. The only thing near me was flags, what am I going to steal. The woman was creepy, so I won't ever shop at Lowe's again, Home Depot gets my business now on. I don't know what her problem was, but I don't appreciate being treated like I was going to shoplift if that was her problem. She didn't even speak, she just had this creepy grin on her face. I have a feeling I'm complaining about the same person someone else in an earlier post complained about. Last year when I went to purchase a dishwasher, not one worker would help us, so even then we went to Home Depot instead. Just keep driving down the road to Home Depot, don't even stop at Lowe's. read more
