Ordered a dishwasher from Lowe's specifically because it showed available for pickup on a date that fit my schedule. I planned my week around that timing. The day before pickup, the order still showed on track. On the scheduled pickup day, it suddenly changed to a week out. Strangely, I was offered delivery as soon as the next day for an additional fee. I contacted customer service through chat hoping to understand what happened. The representative was slow to respond, couldn't clearly explain why the pickup date changed, and after a lengthy conversation claimed the order had been updated and would be available for pickup that day. When I asked a follow-up question, the chat was abruptly closed. I then called the store. The first employee I spoke with was not particularly friendly or helpful. Before I could fully explain why I was calling, I was interrupted and spoken over, then placed on hold without any explanation. A second employee eventually took the call and confirmed the item was not actually in the store and that I would need to wait. When I began explaining my frustration with the experience and why the changing pickup date had impacted my plans, there was still no effort to explain what had happened or acknowledge the inconvenience. After I mentioned that I would rather cancel the order, it was canceled immediately without any attempt to address the issue or offer an alternative solution. What bothered me most wasn't the delay itself--things happen. It was the complete lack of communication, explanation, or concern from the three different people I spoke with. No one could tell me why the date changed, no one seemed interested in helping, and no one appeared to care that I had chosen Lowe's based on the promised pickup timeline. If the store manager or owner reads these reviews, my recommendation would be to focus less on the cancellation itself and more on how customers are treated when something goes wrong. This review is for online ordering and curbside pickup only. I don't frequent this location often because of the rundown area and increased homeless population. I just don't feel safe. I ordered some materials online, and this location was the closest location that had my items in stock. After receiving a text notification stating my order was ready to be picked up, I headed over and parked in one of the designated curbside pickup parking spaces. I followed the directions in the link texted to me. I entered my space number and vehicle information and received my order within about 5 minutes. Lowe's security guards are incredibly rude. They profiled us as homeless and yelled "have fun sleeping outside" at us as they are blinded by hatred bc we put a reasonable amount of trash in the trash can outside as we entered the store. There was no sign on the trash that indicated that trash could not be placed in it. The security guard was outside and saw me putting the trash in the trash can and didn't say a word. Then took the trash out, found us in the store, and attempted to try to humiliate us by forcing us to take the trash back. What the hell? Why have a trash can if patrons can't put a little trash in it?? If it's an issue, put a sign on the trash can or say something. Why are you power tripping and being vulgar?? Besides that you are profiling and that is pretty dangerous as "authority". My recent experience only points to what a complete shit show this big box store retailer really is (Clackamas store in Milwaukie, OR). I knew exactly what I wanted--a Bosch 500-series dishwasher. Lowe's had this on sale, competitive price so I drove to the store to purchase. This was a Saturday afternoon, typically a busy day for many retailers, right? Well, they did not have enough sales people to help with several of us customers loitering around the one salesperson who was helping this customer. I waited almost 1 hour just to be able to buy the damn thing. I needed delivery and installation services so I asked about how this works. The nice male salesperson explained it and said it looks like they can deliver this on Monday, just two days later. I happened to have that day off so I said, "Great! Let's do this!". I purchased delivery/install services for $200. This is where my already shaky experience with Lowe's took a sharp, direct dive south into complete incompetence & dysfunction. If you need delivery or delivery/install, DO NOT BUY ANY APPLIANCE FROM LOWE'S. Lowe's contracts w/ a third-party "delivery" service called CRST Home Solutions. Most of their "services" are automated so it's hard to find anyone who actually knows what's going on. AND Lowe's, who contracts with this company for scheduling delivery and install services, DOES NOT KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. The day after my purchased I got an email from CRST saying my deliver will be a week later, Monday, 11/4/24. Hmm...okay. I rearranged my day off to meet this date instead of 10/28. CRST's email gives a window of 7AM TO 7PM. On 11/4/24, I got an email from Lowe's stating my dishwasher was picked-up and CRST will contact me about time of delivery. I received a text from CRST my appliance will be delivered btw 11am-2pm. By 2:15pm and not hearing from anyone, I tired contacting CRST Home Solutions. This took me two phone calls. By 2:45pm, I was told they are running 1.5 hours behind. Not good. By 4:45pm, the delivery truck with two men finally arrives. They get out and ask me if I have my dishwasher. WTF? I bluntly say, "No, you should have it. That's the whole point of this delivery and install service." They look in their truck and claim that they don't have my appliance. I asked them, "What are the next steps here?" The delivery bro just shrugs his shoulders like it's not his problem and says, "I guess call the company". I get on the phone with the Lowe's store, talk with a manager and she can clearly see how upset I am with this. I mean...don't they want to know what happened to this dishwasher if it was confirmed my appliance was picked-up that day? I give her credit for reaching out to CRST, then promptly calling me back and telling me someone from CRST Home Solutions will contact me. I get a call, the woman at CRST is very apologetic and understanding. I rearrange the delivery time for the following Monday, 11/11 but I specifically request a morning delivery because I'm not waiting all day again. I called Lowe's and spoke with the same managers two days before this delivery to see if she can contact CRST to make sure this is going to happen, given I have little confidence it this process. She transfers me to some install service but they just shrug their shoulders and say, "You'll hear from Juan the day before on the time frame". I get a text Sunday night my delivery is between 11am-2pm. THEN, on the day of delivery, I get an email stating my delivery has been moved to 11/25/24. WTF???? I called Lowe's and got a different manager, explained this clusterfuck of a situation and he looks into it. He calls me back in 30 minutes and states the delivery was moved to 11/25. Nope...I ask for a full refund which I'm still waiting to receive confirmation on. Lowe's has lived-up to it's namesake...a very low bar indeed. Bleh. Settled at Lowe's for the price and quick delivery. Got there early and lucked out with the best sales associate ever. Knowledgeable. No time wasting nonsense up selling extended warranty shenanigans. Thanks for that. Got out quick and could have had the refrigerator 2 days later (the day after was a holiday and a pox on you if you had anything delivered on labor day), but needed to do some deconstruction to the space, so we chose 4 days out. It arrived today and installation took 20 minutes. We had a four hour delivery window and they texted us when they were within 20 minutes. Perfect, really. Great experience. Purchased a refrigerator to be delivered and installed and take away the old one. They literally left the new one in the carport, the old one still in the house and left. Was here about 5 minutes. They said they couldn't connect to copper wire. Well in the user manual it literally says to connect to copper wire!!! They were lazy and didn't want to hook it up. It took us about four hours and had to hire a plumber which was another $220 even though we paid for install!!! Called to schedule for them to finally take the old one which we paid $50 but I guess they forgot that when they left it in the carport. Well they hung up on us!! Literally crazy. Working with Lowe's to install interior doors and closets was the worst experience by far than any other work contracted at my home. It began in December 2022 and was not completed until July 2023. I cost approximately $8,200 for product and installation. One door had to be returned to the fabricator twice which caused extreme delays. Once the door was finally received for the third time, it took additional months to get Premier Services Grp to organize the contractor's to install the door. There were several appts made that conflicted with my work schedule and then would be rescheduled w/o asking what days would work for me. Then finally when one would work out, it would ultimately be canceled for no reason. It was extremely frustrating dealing with this. It was recommended to have the doors painted prior to arriving at my home to be installed and I would NOT recommend this. All but three doors had chips, scrapes, scratches and dents. This was either caused by the installation or prior to. I did not inspect the doors prior to the installation but it doesn't matter. All doors should have been free from blemishes, chipped paint. The quality of the doors was average and the paint was only one thin coat. The edges of the doors were rough and need to be sanded down. I requested a partial refund for the additional paint cost to some of the doors and was sorely disappointed with the response (mostly lack of) from Lowes. It has been several months now that the claim was initiated and never, not ONE time did a manager contact me to resolve this. I have had to call several times to follow up and was promised returns calls that never happened. It is estimated that each door paint cost was approximately $100 dollars per door, however the work order does not itemize this cost per door. I suggested a fair and equitable resolution would be approximately $600, however they only offered $250. These affected doors have to be repainted. You can't just touch up areas that are missing pieces of the paint and not notice the touch up. They have to be filled, lightly sanded and repainted. Never again!! read more

Wow the employees are extremely rude. The restroom was being mopped with a good layer of soapy water and no caution signs so I asked to use the employee restroom and was denied as if the employees are more important than the customer so I had to risk a slip and fall situation and was then greeted at the exit by security. I had a kitchen remodel done by Lowes. Three years later, the cabinet over the refrigerator fell off the wall. It had been hung on the drywall with plastic bolts. After a month of being given the runaround, Susanna Mora called to say Lowes wasn't responsible because it had been over two years, and they no longer worked with that installer. Horrible frustrating service on an appliance. We bought an expensive gas stove from Lowe's. It did not work properly and we were connected with the manufacturer in Italy to talk me through making adjustments. It still didn't work. We ended up having them replace it. It still doesn't work and I filed a claim for reimbursement months ago. Service sent me a credit for half the amount of the stove. I have been calling them and writing them and they keep telling me "we'll send a new credit" then I get a credit for half the amount again. It's crazy. You call service abs so not get someone who understands English well enough to address my complaint. In the most recent call they kept re reading me an email saying that I had been paid in full. Another told me to use both credits and they would add up to the right amount. I can't because they have the same card number. We have a large family and I'm using a 6 burner stove that now only has 3 that function and one throws flames up and burns my arm. Worst. Service. Ever. read more

I bought a washer and dryer set there in November, had it delivered and hooked up in December. I purchased an extended 5 year warranty. To make the sad story brief; the installers hooked it up wrong, they didn't balance the washer, because of faulty installation the warranty is voided, after hours and hours of trying to get this resolved by their website and by phone (45 minute wait time I finally had to hang up) I drove from Vancouver to the store in person, was told they would come fix it the next day and I've heard from no one. You know the drill. One fine morning, you start the hot water to take a shower - except - only cold water comes out. We had known for quite some that the water heater we currently had was not long for this world. At least, the beast gracefully conked out, not going down in a hail of hot water and steam bursting out its side (like I've witnessed elsewhere). So, it was time to check out water heaters at Lowe's. Before going to Lowe's, we got price quotes from other plumbing agencies in Portland, and Lowe's beat them all. But let me share a li'l secret with you: you will not be able to get a water heater installed on a weekend, by anybody. That's just how the cookie crumbles. So that being the case, I scheduled installation on an upcoming weekday. This was the second major appliance purchase I have made from Lowe's this year. In July, I purchased a dishwasher and had it installed at my Seattle house. Because that experience went so well, I was comfortable with doing another deal with Lowe's. I particularly liked Lowe's phone system; it was easy to get in touch with somebody right there at the North Portland store. A couple of other big box stores had phone systems that forced me over to an international call center. Personnel at the North Portland store were knowledgeable and cordial. I did not feel rushed or pressured into a sale. I like too that a staffer from Lowe's called the day following installation to make sure that I was happy with the installation. I was very happy with the installation. This would have been a five star review, but Lowe's had cancelled the Lowe's credit card we had obtained just this past July, adding some complication to the purchase process. read more

Never thought I would be so pissed off at Lowes. Bought a new range and microwave a couple weeks ago and range was delivered on July 23. Delivery guys checked burners and oven but not air fryer or convection so a few days later went to use air fryer and barely heating and no fan. Called Lowes store where purchased and have been getting the run around ever since. They want us to either buy another range and when defective one gets back to store they will refund us. Stephanie and Charlie and Steve at the Hayden Meadows Lowe's store went above and beyond to resolve my issue that began with an "unfortunate mistake." Stephanie drove the process of replacing an LG stove I purchased online that was mistakenly represented on Lowe's web site. When I explained the problem Stephanie's first comment was, "We want to make this right for you." Then she actually made it right for me! I received a replacement stove and without even requesting it, a courtesy credit posted to my credit card for the inconvenience of returning first stove and installing the correct stove. If you deal with Stephanie or Charlie or Steve you can expect professional, courteous and fair service. The Delta Part Lowe's does not seem to be taking the virus seriously. They continue to allow a "Pro" desk employee to not wear a mask, they have a manager that told me masks don't help and aren't required even though both the county and the store require them (and the store even has signs stating they are required) and they clearly make no effort whatsoever to ask shoppers to wear a mask. I've shopped at several places recently and Lowe's is by far the worst when it comes to making an honest effort. Also, we were supposed to get curbside pickup for a power washer that they have in stock, but we had to go in to get it because they told us they had 3,000+ pending curbside pickup orders and a 10 day backlog picking items. No mention of this on their website. All over Portland businesses are requiring customers to wear masks. This is an irresponsible business practice by Lowe's. read more
