this store really stinks. not only are they understaffed, but the few people that do work there are rude, and run the other way or look distracted when they see you approach them. forget about calling a department, because they never answer the phone, and when the operator finally has to page them, they are angry and take it out on the caller if and when they do pick up. as far as inventory, nine times out of ten they are out of whatever you want, and send you to the other end of ocala to another lowe's. do yourself a favor, and bring a folding chair with you in the event that they do actually have something in stock that you want, and need to check out, and you may also want to pack a lunch because you're going to be there quite awhile. checking out at one of their two or three open registers is the final blow to an already agonizing experience. i see that they have cleared the lot in front of this store, and am praying that a home depot is going in there. they need to either clean up their act ( and hire more people ) or just close their doors. read more

I've consistently gotten great service at this location. Employees are more than willing to answer my questions even though I'm no handy man and half the time describing what I'm referring to haha! Patience is a virtue and they certainly seem to have a lot of it! I've had a few returns with no issue. I love the email receipt option bc my purse can sometimes be a never ending pit for receipts, they have a tendency to go in and disappear! The employees in the garden center are also very helpful and have on more than one occasion directed me to a plant that would grow well in an area based on sun, soil, and what I'm looking for. read more

After a rude experience at Home Depot, we went to Lowes purchase a light bulb for my mother's house. The salesman was kind,attentive,knowledgeable. And the bulb was $3 cheaper than the guy across the Street. Keep up the good job. read more

On 01/20/17 I signed a Florida Services Solutions Installed Sales Contract with Lowes representative Carl Adcock. It specified that the price included 11 new windows, all labor, materials, permits and inspection. The contracted price was 5628.93. I had other estimates, but based on Lowes reputation and a little lower price I chose them. A couple of days later Carl called and said they made a mistake, and that the windows would cost 6577.50. I was not happy, but I really needed to get this job done ASAP so I agreed to the higher price. After this, they added 187.00 for permits, which should have been included in the price per the contract. It gets worse, the first representative they sent to re-measure the windows did not knock and simply walked into the house. The family dog was not happy and barked at the intruder. He is no longer employed as knocking is required when measuring a home. We get past all of this, and the new windows were delivered for installation a few weeks later. The installer arrived and realized all 11 windows were the wrong size. They mixed up height and width, so none of the windows would fit. After multiple phone calls, and all of this time waiting for measurements, delivery and installation wasted Carl talked to the manager who agreed to refund 10% because of their multiple mistakes. This still did not bring the price down to the original quote. The contract specified that the work would be finished around 03/07/17. Now Lowes has all of my money, and I have nothing to show for it. The new windows finally arrived, and were supposed to be installed on 04/18/17 and 04/19/17. One of the windows was the wrong type of window, and does not match the others. The permit is still open and the job will not be complete until the right window is ordered. So at this point, on 04/19/17 we have 10 of 11 windows partially installed, I am not sure what they are doing about window 11 and open permits, which are preventing a potential buyer from getting a loan. Steve the manager said he could give me another 5% off, which does not make up for the time lost as well as potential loss on the sale of the property. I am still paying more than the original contract price, the work is not finished and April 19th is about 1 month and 12 days past the contract finish date. I asked for 50% off of the price I paid, but Steve the manager of this Lowes does not think this is that large of a problem. Shame on Lowes for this multitude of errors which they created. I paid in full and short of a lawsuit which takes more time I have very few options. Beware of Lowes contracts and estimates, they only apply to the buyer. Lowes does whatever it wants. read more
