The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and they also restock faulty, trashed products that have been returned. Save your money and shop at Costco or Home Depot. My mom bought Christmas lights here on Dec 17. She opened them and found that they not only didn't work and had clear scuffs on the plug but were also shoved haphazardly into the box. Clearly these were a return which should NEVER have been put back on the shelf by Lowe's. Obviously my mom didn't have time during Christmas to come all the way back to the store -- we brought back Lowe's faulty product they never should have reshelved, on Dec 26, and were told by multiple store associates we simply could not return them. They refused to even give my mom store credit. Yes. You read that correctly. The "ASM" on the radio didn't even come over, just said they couldn't return them. There was clearly a way, since we were told the system wouldn't accept them and the girl helping us didn't know how to fix it; the ASM was just apparently lazy and couldn't be bothered to come help. I'm just completely astounded. Save your money and stay far far away from this irresponsible joke of a store. This is completely unacceptable and just laughably poor service. read more

Terrible customer service. Had a range delivered and they scratched my hardwood floor throughout my kitchen. Called right away but Lowe's wouldn't take accountability and tried to pass off to their 3rd party delivery service provider. Could never get a returned call. I bought from Lowe's and paid for delivery from Lowe's not a 3rd party. Never the less never received any resolution after 16 different calls. Used to only use Lowe's for my home needs. Not anymore. Will shop anywhere but Lowe's from now on. read more

In one of the previous reviews there is a reference to the military discount. I agree wholeheartedly about how complicated this process is (among other things.) My dad and I went to check out after buying two large appliances and a bunch of smaller items. Since my dad had not "registered" as military, they could not help us. They told him to go to customer service to register his military ID and customer service told him he could only do it online. We had been there for over an hour (more on that in a second) and I had a fussy and hungry one year old with me, and my dad still has a flip phone, so uploading his military information was not going to happen then and there. Cashier offered to hold my items and we would get some lunch and be back. Of course when we came back an hour later after uploading his military ID and jumping through all those hoops, the employees didn't even bother to hold our items, and had put them all back. And the two large appliances.....we found out then and there that the military discount didn't apply to those. Why did we even bother? What a hassle. As if that weren't enough, the guy who sold me the two large appliances was pretty much incompetent. He wanted to have a conversation about everything BUT the items I was purchasing. And he couldn't figure out the delivery. One of the items was allegedly (according to him) available for pick up but not for delivery for three weeks, but the other item was available for delivery Friday. It took him quite some time to enter into the computer the two items I was purchasing, and at that he had entered one of the items three times. The cashier couldn't figure out how to remove the extra ones from my order. Also, I didn't fully trust that the sales guy had entered the delivery and when I asked the cashier to check, he only checked one item and not the other, and I felt like something was off. This prompted a call to Customer Service. Big friggin surprise......the other item wasn't showing up at all, let alone showing up as a delivery. Tony in Customer Service was extremely helpful and was able to arrange both items to be delivered on the same date, which I was initially told was impossible (even though I saw the delivery options on the sales guy's computer). The cashier and the person who sold me the large appliances both displayed poor customer service. And no one was available whatsoever in plumbing. Apparently both of the guys who work in that department went to lunch at the same time, so we were guessing on the accessory items I needed (the ones that they put back before we returned.) I am fully expecting not to see either item arriving at the agreed upon date though. Hopefully my hunch is proven wrong and my large items show up. Either way, this was a piss-poor experience. Both my dad and I were annoyed and exhausted and frustrated. I won't be returning here again for future purchases. They made a lot of money off of this sale, and for two large purchases, a customer should never feel this uneasy. read more

When your crazy cousin and Karen mother-in-law said they hated this store and this location because of their horrible and difficult service; they are not lying. Wow has buying a washer and dryer never been more horrible. They changed the delivery dates 3 times on us without telling us; I only found out because I called the day we originally scheduled it because no one showed up. When the second date approached and I still wasn't hearing anything I called again to find out that they had my appliances but they weren't going to deliver it that day. In what universe does it make sense to schedule an appointment but then not abide by the timeframe that YOU made?! And to do it twice?! After sternly speaking with the customer service they finally agreed to deliver my stuff the next day. Later that day I get a call from a Shane who now says they have it scheduled for the day after. Knowing this company and their idiocy, I call back the same number to say that no, I want it tomorrow because if you switch the date, somehow it'll be delayed another week. The customer service rep answers and I ask for Shane, the guy who just left me a voicemail 3 minutes ago. She says "we don't have a Shane that works here." I find this a little hard to believe considering he just left me a message in less than the time it takes to walk from my car into my home. I said then I need to speak with someone about my delivery date; it was supposed to be for tomorrow and I need it to be for tomorrow. This woman then keeps interrupting me and telling me to wait as she's "speaking with someone else". Finally when I was decided to be a customer she wanted to service and not someone that was an inconvenience in interrupting her time to gossip with her coworker, (yeah I could hear you two laughing in the background, next time I recommend muting the call if you're going to slack off in the job) she keeps asking for my name and if I could come into the store to clarify my order. Folks, we live in the 21st century. At no point in this world should you, or I, or any other person have to clarify what I ordered last month in person when we have computers literally in the palms of our hand. The fire that lights my inner pissed off Dad voice kicks into overdrive and I demand that this woman change the date of my order. She has all my information stored onto her computer, and she can change it if she just does her job. Finally after being put on another hold, she changes the order to be for the next day. I tell her I need a date to make sure that we're all clear on what date my appliances will be delivered. She says "yeah for tomorrow" I said that tomorrow isn't a date; I need the month, day and year. Obviously I was angry at this point and looking back I could've cut this lady a little slack, but the gossiping laughter of her coworkers really just kept pouring gas on the inner fire. Finally the awaited day is here; my washer and dryer that has now been nearly 2 months in the works is approaching it's final destination. And what do I see when the truck opens it's doors? A white washer and a gray dryer. Yep; the screwed up the colors. The second I saw this I knew what I had to do, what I felt like my life was leading up to this particular point. I would make it a goal to destroy all credibility that this location stood upon. If you cannot match simple colors, what our children do in preschool, I cannot with good faith allow you to continue operating a business that defames the good name of Lowe's. For shame North Canton, for shame. I shall never give one cent of my hard earn money to this location. Nor shall any friend, relative, neighbor, coworker, fellow passenger on the bus, or any other human being that I come into contacts with. I will change my greeting to "Hello my name is Ed, and I don't shop at the North Canton Lowe's". We won't be back. I am new to the area and loved the Lowes where I lived at before. We went to the store to purchase new appliances. After 3 hours of waiting for the associate NITA to figure out how to order the appliance from another store we finished the purchase and were told we need to come back on Wednesday to pay for installation(she didn't know how to add the installation and order it from the other store at the same time...it apparently is on different screens) and get a refund back on sales tax because the gas range needs to be installed. Wednesday we go back in and arrive around 6pm. Nita is working...she can't remember anything...but was able to pull it up on the computer with our phone number. Again she can't figure out what to do. After calling the store manager who offered no help and didn't come to the desk, she called the front cashier lead Abbi who clearly couldn't be annoyed to come back and help...nor would she offer any help over the phone (I could HEAR how rudely she was speaking to Nita). Nita finally was told by a coworker to just do a price adjustment instead of refund and repurchase and to go up to the front. We get to the front and Abbi is standing there doing nothing but twirling her hair. She again asks for help and Abbi said figure it out yourself and walked away. So we wait for the clerk that is refunding people. This lady was incredible....she tried her best but was not sure what to do either. SO...again she asked for help from Abbi. Abbi....rolled her eyes and said IDK what to do but its not my problem....you guys just figure it out...she also stated that a price adjustment was not the correct way but made zero effort to help. Finally a store manager came up(I can't remember the name but he was stout with a bushy brown beard). He over rode it so the transaction could go through and we could finally leave. This was around 8pm. I mentioned the problem with Abbi refusing to do ANYTHING and he basically said she quit already and has already mentally checked out he can't do anything. Seriously...between an inept employee, a rude and lazy employee, and a manager that SHOULD have sent the girl doing nothing home(or at least addressed it) but instead just threw his hands up in the air and did absolutely nothing we won't be going back. We can purchase appliances or home repair items at other places...Home Depot was running almost the exact same sale. I just can't stand this store . Sometimes I have to go there in the hunt for a item but it just kills me. One time we were there to pick up a pre purchased item and while we were loading the hot dog stand guy got his Weiner all bent out of shape because we were loading in front of his shack. It was one item but he was such a " Weiner" . Now I go to a hardware store for you guests it , hardware. Not a crusty hot dog served by a man with a Weiner complex. Put this shack out back someplace. Or move him inside where he can be rude like the employees. I would love to video the employees as they run from you if you look like your gonna ask for help. The reason the Lowes here is not better than the canton home depot comes down to customer service. At home depot you are surrounded by people asking if you need help finding something. At lowe's they walk right by you. This boils down to management. Also the door going in was broken for 4 months and now it's chained open. This makes me take any home improvement advice less seriously. Update Staff seems more helpful lately. Love the new Lowes app Update April 2017 Went in today to do an excahnge. They don't do exchanges. They only do returns. I had bought a mirror with a discount two weeks ago. Opened it today and it had a huge scratch on it. Took it back and they did a return giving me back my money but I had to pay the new higher price and buy the same exact mirror. 10$ Scratch I guess. I stood in line for customer service to ask a simple question for 30 minutes while ONE employee was helping people albeit there was at least 7 people in line. Meanwhile there was at least 5 to 7 employees behind the customer service desk literally just standing there starring at the wall like they where stoned or something. I bought a complete Frigidaire Professional series appliances from Lowe's and bought the worthless extended warranty. I have been dealing with Lowe's to fix the dishwasher for over a month. They will only use the lowest rated service companies that have the poorest customer service and repairmen. You will never get someone to answer the phone in less than 45 minutes. After a month and much of my time making many unproductive calls and 3 service visits later, I am being told the parts alone will take another month. Then I will have to reschedule service. This will be 3 months without a dishwasher if I am lucky. Do not buy anything from Lowe's and do not waste your money on their extend warranty. I need to contact a lawyer on this. read more

Wanted help with purchasing a refrigerator and dishwasher. There was no one available so Customer service had to pull someone else from a different department. This should've been our warning to run! Although she was very nice and we did in fact purchase the appliances, when they delivered the appliances we were told that they could not install them because that was a separate company who did that. We were speechless. Not only did we spend $2000, but was informed that it would be an additional service of $120 and a rescheduled installation date!!!!! So my dishwasher is now sitting in the manufacturing box in the middle of my dining room! We called Lowes and told them that we were never told about the additional installation and the cost!!!! Instead of helping us resolve the issue, they were very direct about charging us for installation. They told us we needed to come back in to sign contracts for this installation and I said, if we knew about this when we bought the appliances wouldn't we have already signed these contracts?! Beware of salespeople who have NO clue before you spend your hard earned money!!!! *note-our new dishwasher is still in the box. read more

This Lowes location is almost always a bad experience for me. The majority of the employees make me feel like I am inconveniencing them when I ask questions about the project I am working on. Most recently I went in with my mom to buy stain for an outdoor chair. We went to the paint desk to ask which is best for us, and waited for about 5 minutes before being helped. The employee walked down the aisle and grabbed a gallon of stain and was walking back to the counter before we could even finish asking our questions. The visit before that they had 2 registers open with 8-10 people waiting in line and I had to wait for almost 15 minutes to buy a paint roller. All in all it does not seem like this location takes customer service or satisfaction very seriously at all. read more

If I could have given it zero stars I could have. I have never met a more incompetent bunch of people in my life, or they flat out just don't care. Have had nothing but problems buying fence panels that they tried to assure us were just natural wood variants when in actuality it was mold and mildew. Delivered us more, same issue. Can't get a manager to take your call or treat you with an common decency. I have learned my lesson the hard way and will never given them another penny of my money. Avoid this retailer at all costs, terrible customer service. Went to purchase a new dishwasher. The appliance sales men was rude and unwilling to help. Decided to order it online to take advantage of some online discounts and have it delivered. As stated on my invoice, Lowe's called to arrange delivery. We agreed on July 4th in the afternoon. This date would have worked out nicely since I was going to be off work. Tied up my entire day. At about 3:30, I decided to call to see what was going on. I was told my delivery was rescheduled to July 11th. The customer service rep said they would transfer me to a manager, waited on the phone for at least 20 minutes while the customer service rep tried and tried to get a manager to pickup their phone. Finally, a manager answered. They rescheduled my delivery date to another date that would work for my family and hung up the phone. What kind of manager does this? I had a couple of questions and also needed to provide another contact phone number. Unbelievable. Never again. Menard's, Home Depot, Sears - you have all my future business. Do yourself a favor, take your business elsewhere and avoid these headaches. I have made many purchases at Menard's and they go above and beyond to help. read more

Beware of Appliance department. Ordered a full kitchen suite and 2 of the 4 items had customer service issues. Ordered a dishwasher on 05/06/19 that was supposed to be in approximately 10 days later. 05/17/19 arrived and no news so I called to get an update. I was told that the sales person that took my ordered never actually ordered the dishwasher, and they "expedited the order" and would be there 06/03/19. AGAIN, no call from them on 06/03, so I show up to be told it's not still not I n. Midweek I get a call from Lowes installer to install that Thursday. So, I take off work to be available only to find out the day before that it's at the Lowes distribution center and will not be delivered to my Lowes until 06/10/19. So as of today, 06/10, now this thing is supposed to get installed on 06/14/19. They gave me a measly amount of money off which isn't even the point. No accountability, no communication, and they just passed the blame around. I've already stopped going to this Lowes in favor of Home Depot down the road. Their appliance department will never get a dime from me again. read more

I purchased a countertop at the store on February 19, was told it would be received in the store in 2-3 weeks. I called the store 2 times (because there was no communication from lowes) to ask if the counter was in. I was told it was received. When I went to pick it up after 2 hours they determined it was never ordered. I was told it was not their fault but a problem with the system. I was treated poorly like I was at fault. First, we ordered Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets from them in 2013. The Lowe's salesperson we dealt with originally was awesome. We found the cabinets we liked and ordered them. We got a delivery date and scheduled our installer. The cabinets showed up and they had a few issues. Some of the doors had runs and dust in the finish. We purchased 2 lazy susan cabinets that both had saw cuts showing (the saw blade cut 3/4" to far into the base of the cabinet in the 90 degree corner) right where the door opens, so you see it every time you open the door. Called the sales guy at Lowe's, he apologized and said he'd take care of it. Ended up that he ordered us some replacement doors and new lazy susan cabinets. The lazy susan cabinets couldn't be delivered by them in time for our install date, so I ended up making the 4 hour round trip to the Kraftmaid factory to pick up the replacements. An inconvenience for sure, but at this point we're not upset. It happens. We drive home, unload them, unbox them, and find that the new ones have the same saw cut marks showing in the corners. Here's the point where we get upset. We call Lowe's to talk to our guy again and find out he's no longer there. We now have to deal with April (April the moron is what my wife and I nicknamed her). Every time we would ask her a question, she would reply "Umm, I'm not sure". She could never do anything to help us. She ended up telling us to deal with Mike, a rep from Kraftmaid. Mike assures us that the saw cuts are normal and there is nothing that can be done about them. We asked him why the display models don't have saw cuts showing on them. He replied "Umm, I don't know". So now we have Mike and April the morons to deal with. Ended up we went a few rounds with him and gave up because we were out of time. We talked to our installer about postponing the work, but he didn't know when he would be able to reschedule it as he had just picked up another big job. Also, we had granite countertops scheduled shortly thereafter. We unhappily decided we would live with the saw cut marks. Never so much as an apology from either of the two morons, or the store, let alone a discount for the defect. The second issue with them is we ordered a new Maytag Maxima washer and dryer set. The first time they delivered them, they did show up on time. We didn't have them hook them up and level them as their store policy is that the customer is required to purchase new hoses and a cord (from them for a ridiculously overpriced amount) or they can't hook them up for liability reasons. So, we just had them set them close to where they were going. Well, after we connected the hoses and pushed the washer into place to level it, we removed the rest of the tape, protective plastic, and the owners manual that was strategically placed to cover a big dent on top of the machine. A dent that was made from the drum assembly slamming into the top of the washer and denting it from the inside out. Sigh. We called the store at 9:04 pm and got the "sorry we're closed" message even though the store hours said they were open until 10pm. The next morning we called the store and told them the issue. They said they didn't have another one in stock, but could get one from another store. Set it up for Monday morning delivery (this was on Friday). Monday afternoon at about 2:00 we call the store to see where the delivery people were. The not-so-friendly girl I spoke to on the phone (I was being polite) informed me that I was set up as an afternoon delivery between 12 and 4. I thanked her for keeping the customers in the loop. No apology from her. About an hour later, they showed up. The woman on the "delivery team" kept saying that the problem with making deliveries after dark is that she can't see things like the big dent on top of our washing machine. Our basement is very well lit and we did turn the lights on for them, so go figure. She didn't do much to help the guy doing all the work with the dolly either. She did however reek of cigarette smoke, which is always a pleasant aroma to non-smokers. I gave her a $20 tip the first time they delivered the appliances, which was mainly for the guy doing all the work and I should have given it directly to him, but he was already back out in the truck. We are done with Lowe's. There's too many other options out there than to deal with Lowe's shameful personnel. read more
