While visiting home recently my Dad needed to buy a new battery for his riding lawnmower. He had called around to several different businesses and multiple locations to find if they had it in stock and he could come pick it up. He had called a different Lowe's location, but we ended up coming here because we were already in the area. We walk in and were helped immediately. The employee from the area helped to the best of his ability. I know not everyone is going to know everything about every item in a store, I was in that position once in my life as well. But it felt like an eternity here going over the batteries available. My Dad had a little bit of a hard time with the price. On the phone, remember, this was not the Indiana location, he was quoted a price that was not reflected on the shelf. He brought this up and was flat out told they wouldn't match a price from another location. Understandable, but what wasn't understandable was the reasoning this 'manager' gave us. I put manager in quotes because I don't think she really was and was just pulled over to make it seem that way. The reason she gave us was that other locations run different promotions. -_- Ah, nope, that's not how a national chain works. This isn't an Ace or True Value where you franchised with them. Lowe's is a national chain that runs the same sales at every single location. Girl, that didn't even make sense. I perseverated on that the rest of the day. The only good thing was that they had the battery, they took the old battery, and something about a core charge. I think I was disassociating at that point and not paying attention. I just wanted to get out of there. ...different promotions...get out of here with that... read more

Do not give any business to Lowe's in Indiana PA. They refuse to connect you to a supervisor when you ask. You have hours in wait time for customer service. They pile way too many deliveries in one time slot which makes ALL the delivery times later than the window. I ordered a fridge and had some trouble disconnecting the water. I moved all the furniture and propped open the doors. I looked up on youtube how to shut off the water. I thought it was shut off. The delivery person was over a half an hour late. I ended up getting help from a neighbor to get the water shut off and disconnected. The deliver person pulled out as it was disconnected. He was there less than 20 minutes. I did not ask him to connect the fridge. I did not ask him to plug it in. I called to complain and was told the manager would call me back...after being disconnected 3 times while on hold. The manager never called. The warehouse/delivery scheduling person called and said they could deliver sometime on Friday. But could not give me an exact time. I had already taken time off work on Wednesday so I could not do it Friday. I asked to speak to the warehouse supervisor. She also stated she could not get it to me at a specific time on Friday and I said to cancel it. She said "fine." They next day i get a message stating they are delivering my fridge on Saturday. The one I cancelled. I called the store and they cannot cancel it. I have to refuse delivery. I chatted online with customer service and registered a complaint about the delivery driver AND the store manager. I was told to expect a call from corporate within 48 hours. No one contacted me. I was also told they cannot leave the fridge unless someone over 18 signs for it. And I was told they cannot charge me unless I receive delivery. I was not at home when they tried to deliver it. And now they have charge my credit card for a fridge I do not have and do not want. Lowes has shown me nothing but disrespect. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! read more

Lowe's in Indiana Pa could care less about me as a customer. I bought a storm door and will never ever give them another cent. read more

I went to Lowe's in Indiana PA to pickup an online order. I wore a mask in and there was a notice on the door regarding the requirement to wear one. Once inside I noticed quite a few people not wearing one. Most of the offenders were 60 ish- looking men. While at the service desk I asked an employee what management does with those who don't wear masks. Her response was a coarse "nuthin". I won't be returning. There is nothing I need from Lowe's that's worth putting my health at risk. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - Lowes - Hardware Stores Near Me - Indiana, Pennsylvania

The largest hardware store in the area. The got everything from plywood to brick to stoves to doors to paint to lawnmowers to tools, etc. They also will set you up with a contractor to install whatever for a price. This place is always busy, but then there aren't many alternatives. There is always someone there asking if you need help, but the second you actually need it, you'll be searching and waiting around awhile. read more

My boyfriend and I went in to get switches, sheetrock, and window trim and needed help finding a three way light switch with a wireless remote, so we proceeded to ask a worker that was standing by electrical if she was an electrician, she said no she can get someone over here to help. What we got was a guy arguing with us that was NOT an electrician and so very disrespectful that we had to walk away. Then we went to get window trim and there were 5 employees standing there and we asked if they had any trim that was similar to the style that we have in our home? Without even looking at our picture we were told all the window trim was on the back wall which was not the case. Because there were two other places in the store that we found trim. We proceeded to check out WITHOUT our window trim and then ordered 14 sheets of 1/2 in sheet rock and 4 sheets of 5/8 in sheet rock. When we got back to load it, the receipt had 18 sheets of 5/8 and 0 1/2 inch. So we go drive back up to the front, went to the cashier that checked us out and she asked if there was a problem and he said yes, when responding with our issue she interrupted his response and said "well I put in exactly what you said" which was clearly untrue. She then stated "You will have to go to customer service and get a refund." So we head to customer service. Explain the situation. I repeated that I needed. 14-1/2 4-5/8. The woman asked if I needed anything from the original purchase. I said yes 4 5/8. She then said I know what you need. I'm asking if you are keeping anything that you already bought. So I said well?!? YES!! 4 sheets of the 18 5/8's rock. So I was refunded 14 sheets. Then asked could I now purchase the 14 missing 1/2 pieces of sheet rock. She asked me for a product number. As if I worked there. I laughed and looked at another worker who looked up the product number for me to tell her. Off to loading zone for the second time. Thank god for the lumber yard employees because we were greeted by two smiling faces who were nothing short of a miracle compared to the rest of the store we had dealt with. So that one star goes to the guy and gal who helped us load. You are the real MVP's of this location. This is the last time I we will ever step foot in this location. Latrobe, Pa is by far so much more helpful and professional. read more

I was beyond frustrated with this store. I was having a car port delivered. The delivery was scheduled for about four weeks after I ordered the car port. That was fine as I was told it would take that long. I was given a firm delivery date of Friday. I arranged people to put it together for Sunday. I was then given a different delivery date of Saturday. No problem, could still have it for Sunday. Remember they will not give you your two hour window until the day of delivery so I needed to take the whole day off each time (after the first two, I quite taking the day off, since I doubted it would be delivered). Then, I was told the truck was broken down and delivery would be in a week. I called and the longer the call went on the worse it became. The delivery truck was already broken down when they gave me the first firm delivery date. They knew it could not possibly be delivered that day. I had no fewer than ten promised delivery dates. I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. He wasn't in but they would have him call me. No one called. It was a total mess. Then, I was told that they would "borrow" a truck and delivery it the next week, what day was good with me. I said Monday. No problem they say. I was sent a delivery date for Tuesday! Then, a delivery date for Thursday (I was getting married that day but didn't even bother to say don't bring it that day since I knew it wouldn't be delivered anyway, I was right, it wasn't). Problems happen, I understand, but no apologies, no refund of delivery charge, not even a phone call when I asked for one. I agree with the posts that say this store does not want your business. read more

Very disgusted!! Had ordered a refrigerator & the first one had a scratch on the door. Ordered a second one and it had a dent on the front door. Ordered a THIRD one came in OK but took forever to get it delivered. Called that they would deliver it on Sunday told them that I was to be at church between 11 & 12 said they would work around that. They called at 10:30 to say that they would be here to deliver and now it is 11:28 and they are finally out of my door. Yes you have it right I was not able to get to church. Why do they have signs posted NEXT DAY DELIVERY?????I have never had them deliver any of my appliances on time. It takes SEVERAL DAYS!!! I will not be getting any of my appliances from LOWES again. read more

I'm a female shopper who is pretty knowledgeable about many things I need to buy at a store like Lowes but I do occasionally need help. Good luck getting that! The help buttons that called for a store employee to come to a particular aisle are GONE! Of course, when you need help it's hard to find an employee (I can understand that they're not standing around waiting to hear individual questions) but without those buttons you have to walk the aisles or go to the customer service desk and wait in line there for your turn to talk to one of them so they can call for help. It just doesn't seem like a sensible method. Going to Lowes can be SUCH A PROJECT! Come on Lowes...your employees most often do know their stuff and are very friendly. Let's find a way to get them to the customer more efficiently. I say bring back the buttons even if it's only on end caps of a few aisles. I'll bet even the male shoppers have a few questions every once in a while! read more

I don't send back a meal at a restaurant when it is sub par. I'm not a complainer. I owned a business and know what it is to deal with customers who never are pleased. However: between Giant eagle and Lowes, I spend a ton of money. I estimate at least 50% of the time while at Lowes I have to search for help. When I find some, I must admit they seem more interested in restocking the shelves than helping me. When they do help, they usually don't know what they are talking about or know where stuff is in their own department. If there was a home Depot, that's where I would be. Not happy, it isn't Lowes, it SLOWS. Sorry, maybe they will read this and have a couple employee training meetings. This is the Lowes located at Indiana pa. read more

Worst store for availablity of shopping carts, esp. heavy duty blue carts of which this store is still using original equipment from the opening of the store! This store has exactly 3 of the "basket" type blue carts of which 2 are broken. They only have 2 heavy flat freight carts and most of the blue "pipe" type have non-turning wheels or a so badly bent and damage they are useless! I have been in over 45 lowes throughout PA., WV. and OH. and this store by far is the worst for blue carts! Every other store in the area has ordered and recieved new carts why hasn't this store...? I do not know how cutomers or employees are able to work efficiently with such ancient delapidated equipment....? read more
