Their phone system is terrible. All automated and can't talk to a real person. I had a question about if they had parts for ranges. And couldn't get through to a person. read more

hired Lowe's for a $50,000 deck and enclosed patio project because I expected professional workmanship. Instead, Lowe's subcontracted the job to Lindberg Construction, and the results were unacceptable. We experienced major construction defects, including a sinking deck, drywall tape showing through the paint, sliding glass doors that would not open or close properly, and gaps large enough to let in daylight and cold air. This was not the quality we were promised. We spent more than a year trying to get these problems corrected, making countless phone calls and sending emails with little resolution. We eventually filed complaints with the BBB and the Attorney General's office because we felt we had no other option. If Lowe's chooses the contractors they send to customers' homes, they should stand behind their work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Lowe's or Lindberg Construction for a major home improvement project. Nobody should have to go through what we did. read more

Not very disability friendly. I try to go there first thing in the morning before it gets hot. Every time I've gone there, NONE of their electric carts are charged! Why can't they put them on chargers before closing, so they're ready to go in the morning? read more

Bad experience. I ordered a refrigerator on January 22 with the expectation of receiving it in about a month. I received email and text message about delivery day and time. It was postponed a few times. The last one gave me a time frame and the time came and went. I called and was told they just received it that day and could possibly deliver the next day. I reschedule again and four days later I received a phone call saying that they were unable to get that refrigerator. After waiting 7 weeks and told they had it. I received my refund but nothing for the time wasted waiting for it. I will never purchase an appliance from them again. read more

Service here is lacking. The department floor sales specialists avoid you. They are too task oriented. A few of them don't know their product. Lowe's is supposed to be the Bel Air of home improvement. The store looks clean but clean won't bring in customers. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times, and I have always had decent, to pretty good customer service. On one of my last visits... I was helped by Josh who was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in an area I had no experience with. He was so patient and answering my many questions- and I hope that Lowes is paying him what he is worth. If he is up for a raise- give it to him! I own my own business, and this is the type of employee that is nearly impossible to find. Thanks for your help, Josh! read more

I called Lowe's this morning and spoke with Damian who is a supervisor for Lowe's. I told him we were at Lowe's last night and bought an item which we loved and wanted to get a couple more. Damian told me that there were only two of those items left., but could not hold them for me. Damian told me to go on line and order them and pick them up at the store. I tried that and said that the items were out of stock. I called back and spoke with him and told him that I was unable to order them and he said he would put them up at Customer Service and I could pick them up there. Damian went above and beyond to help me!! I really appreciated all his help and when my husband and myself went into Lowe's this morning (Sunday) to pick up the items Damian was up at Customer Service and we got to meet him. The nicest guy ever. Thank you again Damian for such GREAT SERVICE! We need more people like you!!! read more

We purchased cabinets from Lowes (back in early 2022). The entire process was a disaster and took well over a year due to repeated errors, miscommunications between services, and unwillingness to resolve issues. Lowes requires payment in full upon ordering (and now we know why...because then when things go wrong, you cannot withhold payment until the job is completed to customer satisfaction). Wrong cabinets ordered, extreme delays in shipping and installation, damage to cabinets (upon arrival AND as a result of poor installation). Originally offered $4500 in compensation, but when cabinets ordered incorrectly a SECOND time, Lowe's declined to reorder again and install the correct ones, leaving us with a kitchen that does not meet the terms of the contract, does not have matching cabinetry AND then reduced compensation to $750 while asking us to sign an NDA so that we would not share our experience online. Filed a complaint with BBB and Lowes claimed the matter had been resolved. read more

I get a 10% veteran's discount. Right at the register. Much better than the "other company's" 11% rebate that you have to mail in to get, a rebate that comes in form of a coupon that you can only use at their store. I have found pretty much everything I need and what I can not find I did not find at the other store either. (I did online ordering from Home Depot). I like their store layout and they do not feel the need to move things around every few months. read more

Lowes in Idaho Falls customer service at curbside assistance sucks. No help, slow or absent order fills. Home Depot is really fast.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I've ordered a stove and a refrigerator from them and both have arrived damaged (after multiple reschedules on their end) follow up service to fix our issues has been horrible. Extremely rude, dismissive and unresponsive. This is the worst Lowes I've ever experienced. read more

This store is so much better to deal with than the Home Depot down the street! We had the best experience with Amanda in customer service. We were having issues with ordering on line and we live almost 3 hours away. My husband talked to Amanda and told her that I had some health issues and he was worried about me having to collect all of the electrical supplies that we needed. This amazing young lady collected all of the supplies for me after finding me a nice comfy chair and a bottle of water. Amanda went above and beyond amazing service! read more

I am beyond impressed with the customer service of Roger in the hardware department. Roger went above and beyond to ensure that we located everything necessary for our project. Our experience at Lowes was phenomenal. read more

When it comes to houseplants this Lowe's has the best selection in the area out of all the box stores. I have found a lot of great clearance ones as well as rare-type plants. When I'm in town I always have to stop by because you never know what you might find. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - Hardware Stores Near Me - Idaho Falls, Idaho

I've tried 5-10 times calling Lowe's but nobody will answer the telephone...lousy customer service bc this happens all the time...ugh!!!

Although Lowe's fits into the category of "big box" hardware stores, it has many redeeming qualities. This particular location must have some of the friendliest workers in the business. On my last trip, I was asked by numerous people if I needed help finding anything. This might not seem like a surprise but they actually seemed interested in helping, as opposed to asking out of habit or because I was in their way. The employees at this particular location seemed pretty knowledgable as well. I had a few questions they were willing to answer and got help from others in order to give me great service. All around great place, and prices are competitive considering the range of quality in items. (from cheap nails, etc to high end tools) read more

If you have any questions from paint to cleaning supplies and anything in between, definitely talk to Debbie! She gave some amazing advice and helpful hints to my friends that just bought a fixer upper. Her customer service was impeccable and she answered any questions we had with so much confidence and knowledge, it made our experience painless! read more

Absolutely atrocious service. We were in the store to buy almost $4,000 worth of appliances and were constantly wandering the store just to find a sales associate. Finally after an hour one showed up. They need more help in the store. I'd love to blame this on COVID but their service has always been atrocious. However once we did get a associate he was awesome they really need to hire more people read more

I too would give Lowes Idaho Falls zero stars ... due to a total lack of care for their customers. I bought a water softener from them. It had (i) concealed damage and (ii) left over water was still in the unit. Obviously someone returned a damaged water softener to them (don't buy anything from Lowes when the original packaging has been opened or, better yet, shop at Home Depot) and they turned around (obviously without checking it) and sold it as new to me. I am disgusted with Lowes. That they don't check out expensive returned merchandize shows how little they care for their customers. So far the manufacturer (A.O. Smith) has been great ... they even have a special number to call when the local Lowes store gives you grief about returning the manufacturer's products for exchange. Imagine that ... a special number to call when Lowes is a PITA. read more

Went to Lowes to purchase closet set to build on my home... No one there to help just a bunch of people standing around doing nothing... Not offering assistance or anything.... Don't waste your time go to Home Depot instead! read more

Needed a snow blower. Went to Lowes to compare prices and products to other places. Received excellent customer service and special attention showing me how to run and properly maintain the machine. They even took $100 bucks off for me to close the deal. A terrific price on an Ariens snow blower that does the job right. Thanks Lowes! read more

I would give this Lowe's no stars if that was an option but it wasn't. The Lowe's in Idaho Falls has the worst customer service I've experienced at a hardware store. I've bought twice from this Lowe's and has the same experience both time with different people. Recommend going to Home Depot or Ace!!!! Lowe's is big on promoting the military discount but this store makes it hard to use it then they pick and choose what you get discounted. Time to make better choices on who you hire because the majority of your employees are trash. read more

I want to give Lowes the benefit of the doubt in this Pandemic time, BUT if they don't have the personnel to handle basic customer service or to staff the store during the advertised hours, then cut back on services offered or hours!! I ordered a refrigerator, was emailed a delivery date & time. I waited around ALL day expecting a call to no avail. After tracking down a phone number where a human being was actually on duty, I was told the fridge had been delivered to Idaho Falls (from Pocatello) on the day I was told it would be delivered to ME. It is IMPOSSIBLE to call LOWES in I.F. or national "customer care". You could be on hold till the Pandemic is over! DON'T shop at LOWES except in person & do your own "delivery"! read more

Tried to locally purchase some items carried on the lowes.com website. Of course, those items are not carried in the brick & mortar stores. Only the cheap store brand imported crap is stocked locally. When I asked about 'special' order they still would not honor the pricing on the website. The minimum wage customer service rep could not wait to get back to the gab session I interrupted when I walked up to the counter. read more

Our experience with Lowe's Home Improvement contractors has been poor to terrible. Once we ran out of patience with the DIY-quality kitchen remodeling contractor and insisted on corrective action, store management stood by us and made things right. The kitchen contractor, Lindberg Construction of Idaho Falls, could hardly have performed worse. He was unresponsive once he got some money. He didn't show up when he said he would. He didn't inspect the project or his employee's work when it was "done" -- just a brief walk through. So much of the work had to be done over. The Lowe's employee (now gone) who laid out the cabinetry made important mistakes that had to be corrected after we'd lived with it all for a few months -- not the contractor's fault. The remodeling labor was done primarily by one individual, a pleasant fellow with an unpredictable schedule. I had to pay an electrician -- twice -- to correct problems. The new flooring was incorrectly installed in both the kitchen and adjacent bathroom. (Lowe's flooring contractor screwed up flooring in our family room ... a separate project.) In both cases, we've decided to just live with it all so we can move on. The stress has just been too much. In the end, it took more than a year to get things reasonably straightened out. I must say that once we ran out of patience with the kitchen contractor, Lowe's management backed us up firmly, and got Lindberg Construction to act. Lowe's is a good store, with responsive and attentive managers and employees. But the installation contractors ... Beware. read more

I ordered $8500 worth of kitchen appliances August, 2018. The delivery date was changed 3 times. Finally delivered Oct 17, 2018. Then when appliances arrived the delivery guy said he couldn't take out existing appliances, yet I paid for installation and removal of dishwasher and stove!! He said they would have to come back next week. REALLY!!!! what a bunch of BS. I will never deal with Lowes again. I will only deal with local family owned appliance company for the washer and dryer, will not use Lowes ever. The installation guy, said he will take appliances for me and not to worry. He is a sub contractor for Lowes, much to his credit, knows customer service. read more

I paid $6500 to have Lowe's build a deck and 6 months later they refuse to complete the job.

I just stopped to look at mowers. Kevin jr was the Definition of customer service. He answered every question I could ask about mowers. Told me some things to consider I didn't think of. He looked up and down the store and found a refurbished model of the one I was looking for. He saved me over $100 on what I was ready to pay for the same model. It's so I rare I've experienced such great help, I'm just blown away. Lowes has my loyalty in Idaho falls because of Kevin jr. read more

So, I'm here to say that the Idaho Falls Lowe's Home Improvement Store 925 E 17TH STREET IDAHO FALLS, ID 83404 has once again dropped the ball in a series of troublesome and very unhelpful attempts to serve our Russian friend. After mis-measuring cabinets, giving false assurances that "they will fit" even though the sink is now having to be re-plumbed to another location, and delivering a french-door style fridge that was touted as being "the same style" as the top-freezer model she had ordered, etc., etc. This fiasco has gone on for 3 months, with no resolution in site. After the store manager ditched the appointment he had scheduled with her to address the issues, we are going public to ask you all to share this bad service on social media, if only to protect other unsuspecting would-be buyers from similar heartache. Corporate has been contacted twice and still no real answers. And no apologies have been forthcoming! We pride ourselves on customer service in our area, but this is a disgrace! Please tell everyone you know to go some place else for better service and satisfaction!!! read more

Agree with the previous reviewer, really wonderful, knowledgeable sales associates at this store.
