Bad experience. I ordered a refrigerator on January 22 with the expectation of receiving it in about a month. I received email and text message about delivery day and time. It was postponed a few times. The last one gave me a time frame and the time came and went. I called and was told they just received it that day and could possibly deliver the next day. I reschedule again and four days later I received a phone call saying that they were unable to get that refrigerator. After waiting 7 weeks and told they had it. I received my refund but nothing for the time wasted waiting for it. I will never purchase an appliance from them again. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times, and I have always had decent, to pretty good customer service. On one of my last visits... I was helped by Josh who was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in an area I had no experience with. He was so patient and answering my many questions- and I hope that Lowes is paying him what he is worth. I called Lowe's this morning and spoke with Damian who is a supervisor for Lowe's. I told him we were at Lowe's last night and bought an item which we loved and wanted to get a couple more. Damian told me that there were only two of those items left., but could not hold them for me. Damian told me to go on line and order them and pick them up at the store. I tried that and said that the items were out of stock. I called back and spoke with him and told him that I was unable to order them and he said he would put them up at Customer Service and I could pick them up there. Damian went above and beyond to help me!! I really appreciated all his help and when my husband and myself went into Lowe's this morning (Sunday) to pick up the items Damian was up at Customer Service and we got to meet him. We purchased cabinets from Lowes (back in early 2022). The entire process was a disaster and took well over a year due to repeated errors, miscommunications between services, and unwillingness to resolve issues. Lowes requires payment in full upon ordering (and now we know why...because then when things go wrong, you cannot withhold payment until the job is completed to customer satisfaction). Wrong cabinets ordered, extreme delays in shipping and installation, damage to cabinets (upon arrival AND as a result of poor installation). Originally offered $4500 in compensation, but when cabinets ordered incorrectly a SECOND time, Lowe's declined to reorder again and install the correct ones, leaving us with a kitchen that does not meet the terms of the contract, does not have matching cabinetry AND then reduced compensation to $750 while asking us to sign an NDA so that we would not share our experience online. Filed a complaint with BBB and Lowes claimed the matter had been resolved. read more

This store is so much better to deal with than the Home Depot down the street! We had the best experience with Amanda in customer service. We were having issues with ordering on line and we live almost 3 hours away. My husband talked to Amanda and told her that I had some health issues and he was worried about me having to collect all of the electrical supplies that we needed. I get a 10% veteran's discount. Right at the register. Much better than the "other company's" 11% rebate that you have to mail in to get, a rebate that comes in form of a coupon that you can only use at their store. I have found pretty much everything I need and what I can not find I did not find at the other store either. (I did online ordering from Home Depot). I like their store layout and they do not feel the need to move things around every few months. read more

Horrible experience!! Absolute garbage company on every level! Lowe's doesn't do the job, they hire out a 3rd party 1 Star contractor named Lindberg Construction. They did such a horrible job on a 53,000 deck and closed in a patio with 2 walls . The tape and Sheetrock are popping through the paint, deck completely sinking in the middle and falling apart! Roof leaks into our home, sliding glass doors that we paid 15,000$ for won't open or close and have gaps so large you can see sunlight through the sides and we have to stuff them with insulation through the winter now and can't even use them. Told us repeatedly that they were a multi million dollar company and we would be completely satisfied and Did top notch work. Ha!! Took our money and ran! We have been trying to get somewhere with this company for a year and a half. We are working with corporate Lowe's now who won't return phone calls emails or do a thing. To help us! We have resorted to contacting the BBB and State attorney generals office. The deck.... He dropped of his unsupervised kid to build the deck we paid LOWES to do! Closed off our backyard completely with a deck that was nothing like we asked for. Seats so thin you can't even sit in them, railing we had to take down just so we can use them. Storage four made so small can't even use it. If I wanted a teenage kid to do the work I would have asked a neighbor kid to do it and paid him a tenth of the cost! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Worse experience ever! Spent $50,000 on a garbage job! He took 2 Vacations in the middle of our job. 2-3 week quote lasted 3 months. When it comes to houseplants this Lowe's has the best selection in the area out of all the box stores. I have found a lot of great clearance ones as well as rare-type plants. When I'm in town I always have to stop by because you never know what you might find. read more

Although Lowe's fits into the category of "big box" hardware stores, it has many redeeming qualities. This particular location must have some of the friendliest workers in the business. On my last trip, I was asked by numerous people if I needed help finding anything. This might not seem like a surprise but they actually seemed interested in helping, as opposed to asking out of habit or because I was in their way. The employees at this particular location seemed pretty knowledgable as well. I had a few questions they were willing to answer and got help from others in order to give me great service. I too would give Lowes Idaho Falls zero stars ... due to a total lack of care for their customers. I bought a water softener from them. It had (i) concealed damage and (ii) left over water was still in the unit. Obviously someone returned a damaged water softener to them (don't buy anything from Lowes when the original packaging has been opened or, better yet, shop at Home Depot) and they turned around (obviously without checking it) and sold it as new to me. I am disgusted with Lowes. That they don't check out expensive returned merchandize shows how little they care for their customers. So far the manufacturer (A.O. Smith) has been great ... they even have a special number to call when the local Lowes store gives you grief about returning the manufacturer's products for exchange. I've bought twice from this Lowe's and has the same experience both time with different people. Recommend going to Home Depot or Ace!!!! Lowe's is big on promoting the military discount but this store makes it hard to use it then they pick and choose what you get discounted. Our experience with Lowe's Home Improvement contractors has been poor to terrible. Once we ran out of patience with the DIY-quality kitchen remodeling contractor and insisted on corrective action, store management stood by us and made things right. The kitchen contractor, Lindberg Construction of Idaho Falls, could hardly have performed worse. He was unresponsive once he got some money. He didn't show up when he said he would. He didn't inspect the project or his employee's work when it was "done" -- just a brief walk through. So much of the work had to be done over. The Lowe's employee (now gone) who laid out the cabinetry made important mistakes that had to be corrected after we'd lived with it all for a few months -- not the contractor's fault. The remodeling labor was done primarily by one individual, a pleasant fellow with an unpredictable schedule. I had to pay an electrician -- twice -- to correct problems. The new flooring was incorrectly installed in both the kitchen and adjacent bathroom. (Lowe's flooring contractor screwed up flooring in our family room ... a separate project.) In both cases, we've decided to just live with it all so we can move on. The stress has just been too much. In the end, it took more than a year to get things reasonably straightened out. I must say that once we ran out of patience with the kitchen contractor, Lowe's management backed us up firmly, and got Lindberg Construction to act. Lowe's is a good store, with responsive and attentive managers and employees. But the installation contractors ... Beware. read more

I ordered $8500 worth of kitchen appliances August, 2018. The delivery date was changed 3 times. Finally delivered Oct 17, 2018. Then when appliances arrived the delivery guy said he couldn't take out existing appliances, yet I paid for installation and removal of dishwasher and stove!! He said they would have to come back next week. REALLY!!!! what a bunch of BS. I will never deal with Lowes again. I will only deal with local family owned appliance company for the washer and dryer, will not use Lowes ever. The installation guy, said he will take appliances for me and not to worry. So, I'm here to say that the Idaho Falls Lowe's Home Improvement Store 925 E 17TH STREET IDAHO FALLS, ID 83404 has once again dropped the ball in a series of troublesome and very unhelpful attempts to serve our Russian friend. After mis-measuring cabinets, giving false assurances that "they will fit" even though the sink is now having to be re-plumbed to another location, and delivering a french-door style fridge that was touted as being "the same style" as the top-freezer model she had ordered, etc., etc. This fiasco has gone on for 3 months, with no resolution in site. After the store manager ditched the appointment he had scheduled with her to address the issues, we are going public to ask you all to share this bad service on social media, if only to protect other unsuspecting would-be buyers from similar heartache. Corporate has been contacted twice and still no real answers. And no apologies have been forthcoming! We pride ourselves on customer service in our area, but this is a disgrace!
