I'm not big on going to home improvement stores but I have to admit Lowe's been s pretty amazing. Mostly I go to the garden area and the furniture. They have great plants and the prices are not bad. If I can give no stars I would. I purchased impact Windows and doors from Lowe's in 2018-2019 and I have on going issues. I have been contacting them for years and all I get is the run around. I was told that the company that installs the windows and doors, they are not using them (CGI). So when you call, no one know what you are talking about. When you go to the stores all they tell you is that they are not using that company. The windows that were installed are vinyl and they are not for Florida, they should be aluminum. The front was not installed properly because you have to pull it in to close it. The back door was also not installed properly because you trip over it when you are going out to the patio. There are 5 that are completely fogged up in between the planes, this includes a bathroom window that you cannot open because it closes. They have come a few times to fix it and it still doesn't work. I called multiple times during covid and they told us that the offices for the sales were moved to another state and they could not come out. When called again they told me that they were not able to send anyone out to look at the windows. We spent over $20k on these windows and doors and when you call or go by Lowe's they don't even help you. I know it's been a while but we have been calling and trying to resolve it and it is like they almost want you to give up. read more

To those of you, who are like me, in the working-class pool, who know that our time is precious when we have so many things to take care of. I am the owner of the Whirlpool appliance era. Washer and dryer. Great piece of equipment. It served me well. No complaints on that. However, if it breaks, be prepared to be tossed around like a pin-ball when you need service to correct the issue if you're not white or rich. To those of you (the working class) who are thinking of buying a whirlpool product; be sure that you've thought it through before buying the product. For what it's worth, the listing says Hialeah, but this in actuality is located in Miami Lakes. Anyway, wound up there last weekend as a loved one was doing me the favor of fixing a few things chez moi (that's at my house for those who don't speak French). We had already gone to another Lowe's and essentially bought the store. You know the typical thing that happens when you take a handy guy to one of these hardware stores, which tops up there in my top 5 places of personal hell. Ahem. My girly girl ways aside (and believe me I'm not saying anything untrue as the opposite is also true, and by that I mean... manly men tend to hate going shopping), it honestly wasn't that bad. We were in and out. We only came to this Lowe's as it was the only one in the area that had a replacement mirror I needed. How did I know they had it? Well, apparently the Lowe's website tells you where items can be found. Needless to say, this was quick and painless. Well, minus the fact that we had to return a few items, but even then, we were attended at the customer service desk immediately. All in all, there are worse things. I came to this Lowe's for a pickup. Employees everywhere but it took one hour to get my order they told me was ready. One person said they were going to get it then disappeared. The next person said they would get it but I see him walking around. When he finally comes over he says oh I will get it now. Normally my husband and I use the Lowes store in Hialeah, mainly because our business is in this area. Having that been said the Hialeah store is always busy, but just convenient for us. Today we wanted a specific item which this store showed as available when we did a pc search, so we switched to this location for a change as we did not need to be in Hialeah. We found this store to be very pleasant, less crowded, less chaotic, less people and very clean and huge in comparison. If I had a choice i would choose this over the Hialeah branch hands down. However when you have to birds to kill, Hialeah ends up getting our business. I would recommend this store.. read more

This Lowe's really needs help in the customer service department. Employees aren't around when you need them and it's an even longer wait while they look for a product. We were in the store for an hour just to buy a grill. An associate had no issue saying "I'm doing this and then I'm going home" right in-front of us. On the positive side, this Lowe's location is clean, bright, well organized and QUIET! Unfortunately, that's where the positivity ends. Going to Lowe's is not convenient for me at all (closest one is in Hialeah, good luck with that!), but they had a roofing product that Home Depot did not carry. We ordered and paid for the product on line and received an email the following day that it was ready to be picked up. However, when we arrived at customer service, the order was not ready so the customer service person offered to have someone go and get it for us. We were hoping for a quick in and out, but if we had to wait, we figured we may as well go get it ourselves and see what else we might need. As a side note, I browsed the tile section en route to roofing and found the pricing to be much higher than Home Depot's. Products in hand, we returned to customer service. The person (one of 5 behind the counter) was really disinterested. In the middle of explaining to him that we already paid for the merchandise we had just picked up from the aisle, he answered the phone and had an entire conversation while we were standing there!! We got frustrated and asked for a manager, who was more helpful. We explained how their online ordering system failed and she said she would forward the issue to HQ. We asked for 10% off and she agreed that was totally reasonable. So, all in all, they do have a few more products in stock than Home Depot and the shopping environment is more pleasant, but the customer service and pricing leaves a little to be desired. read more

I came to this Lowe's because the Cellular Curtain I had purchased in the Lowe's near my neighborhood only one left and I was told this location still had some in stock and I needed one more. The cellular shade is a brand which they can cut to your size by a couple of inches since they have the machine. We told 3 associates that we needed help and it did take a while to have someone to help us but eventually someone did make it out to cut the shade for us. If you value your money and time stay away. The appliance department is a mess they do not have any ability to help with delivery, installation errors etc and more importantly Lowes does not stand behind its appliances. If they malfunction, the store is NOT responsible and their store associates have no ability to arrange for resolving appliances that are delivered with issues. The management of this location is missing and sadly the associates have no support. The store is badly maintained, and the products washers etc are not in good condition when delivered. The delivery phone number does not answer (tried over 9 times) and if you leave your phone number for a call back as instructed it fails to occur. Overall inferior customer service, average prices on appliances and non -existent product guarantees. Sadly, not up to Lowes corporate standards. I would recommend never shopping here if you want to buy appliances. As for the other products, they are average priced and in the low range of quality. read more

I really did some research and read through all the reviews here and it's hard for me to imagine why this Lowes is rated so low? I don't understand if it's because some people just sometimes don't know what they're looking for in one specific location or maybe they can explain there problem or need correctly to a representative. Maybe I should addition for the next remake of Tool Time. I'm a bit bobbled however, I can only comment on my experiences and for the most part every time I come here I get what I need, whatever I don't know is explain to me the right way. I've had a few experiences where my problem or my question hasn't been accurately answered but these people are not professionals either, they carry several brand name products, and have a high inventory of wood, tools, bolts you name it they have it. I can understand how some people prefer a mom-and-pop place where it's more personal and intimate when you're dealing with someone, for the most part this place is convenient right off State Road 826 and NW. 57th Ave. and it's close to the turnpike as well. Story time. Took me 52mins to get one gallon of paint (yes I was counting). Got to the store 12:20, Victoria was doing some inventory when I got there saw me (we made eye contact) I thought fine I'll wait until she's done I understand she might want to finish that section. When 10mins pass I have them call on the PA, you know to make sure she knows her assistance is needed in the paint department, after 5mins nothing (still see her doing the inventory). They call her 3 more times within another 5mins, continues with inventory. Then she gets down went to the end of the lane and disappeared. I'm still waiting another 10mins then come to find out she went to lunch! Another 10-15mins pass when finally I get help not from Victoria but from the assistant manager. Cliff asked immediately how he could help me, I told him what I needed and he got started. As soon as he started I got my phone and thought let's see how long it takes to make the paint so I started the stopwatch. Paint gets set, mixed and given, I paid got in my car then stoped the time. That alone took less than 7mins. Not a one star because of Cliff. Thank you to Cliff for your quick work, Victoria your customer service sucks, do better. read more

My fiancé and I contracted this Lowes Home Improvement store to assist us in replacing (2) doors in our house with hurricane-approved ones. Our experience working with Lowes on this project has been an absolute nightmare. Before I go into detail, I want to mention that this review is specific to their home-installation services and has nothing to do with their actual store or retail experience. In fact, I really enjoy all Lowes Stores and find them to be much cleaner, better stocked and the staff is typically friendlier than your average Home Depot. We originally contacted this store to replace our two doors back on 5/19/2020. We are now at 8/18/20 (three months later) and we are not any closer to having our doors installed. Below are all the issues we have had thus far. 1. No Communication - The two individuals working with us from Lowes have failed at every corner to keep us informed of what has been going on. They rarely answer their phones or email. They are also the opposite of proactive and require us to reach out to them for us to get an update on our doors. 2. Lack of Follow Up - Interestingly, we had several other jobs quoted with them (fence and deck) which they completely forgot about and never provided an estimate. This was a blessing in disguise since we would never want to work with them in the future. 3. Horrible Payment Terms - This was a huge mistake. We agreed to pay them up front for 100% of the work. Considering that it's three months in and we have nothing, they have us locked in and we can't find alternative vendor. 4. Lack of Urgency - Interestingly, a month after we signed a contract with Lowes, we signed a contract to have a pool constructed. The pool is already ¾ of the way done and will likely be complete long before these doors are installed. It's baffling to me that a pool could be built in less time than two simple doors. 5. Making Promises They Can't Keep - On several occasions they assured us they would "get right back to us" which never occurred. 6. Lack of Transition - Our main point of contact left the company and neither she nor her replacement ever notified us. It wasn't until a few weeks after we weren't getting a response that we called and found out she had left. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire Lowes to do any contracting work for you. While their prices were reasonable, the headache of working with them is not worth it. STAY AWAY. read more

It has been four years since we contracted with Lowe's at this location to remodel our condo. Before our project was completed, the company centralized all such jobs in their NC headquarters.The electrical work has yet to pass inspection. Despite a visit to the store and multiple calls and emails to corporate headquarters the last two years, nothing has been done to pass inspection. This is no way to do business. So this afternoon I head over to Lowe's when I walked over to the paint department I got greeted by Jesse. The best overall experience I have encountered both at Home Depot, and my previous visit to this store. Jesse not only helped me pick out a color, he recommended the type of paint I should get, and the supply's. While still answering questions from different people in a calm and collected way.I was not a fan of this Lowe's, I only go because it looks clean and has a more passive environment. In addition there's some tall white guy, with black hair he works around the appliance area. He always approaches me, and ask if I need any help. Very few associates do that. I really, really hate to give Lowe's a less than stellar review, as I grew up shopping at Lowe's (there weren't any Home Depot stores in that area). However, after remodeling both my kitchen and bathroom this past summer, I can say I was pretty disappointed with Lowes all the way around. First, there are 3 Home Depot stores between my residence and the closest Lowe's, so their stores aren't as conveniently located for me, and there seem to be fewer Lowe's stores in the Miami area in general. Second, I found their selection of merchandise to be a bit lacking compared to Home Depot, and their pricing seemed to be a bit more expensive than Home Depot on many items. Lastly, I did a lot of my research for my recent projects on the internet, and the Lowe's website is not as user friendly or intuitive as the Home Depot website. In some cases, all they'd give you is instructional information about how to do certain jobs, but didn't list any merchandise at all, whereas Home Depot's website was far superior and readily gave information and pricing on all their products, including some you couldn't find in their stores, but could order from the website. While I will still check out Lowe's if I'm in the area and am working on a home improvement project, Home Depot is definitely better, at least in my experience, and has won my loyalty. Sorry, Lowe's! UPDATE - 8/20/2012 - Lowe's has made huge improvements to their website, and seem to be offering more items and their pricing is a bit more reasonable than it once was. They can be a bit higher on some smaller items than Home Depot, but for larger purchases they're at least in the ball park these days, if not a bit cheaper on some items. Glad to see this company is a competitor once again! That being said, I can only add 1 star and bring this particular store to a total of 3, as the last time I shopped at this location a few of the items I was looking for were out of stock. read more

I had about the WORST experience at this Lowe's and I've avoided coming here because while I lived in the area I knew their customer service sucked but I was remodeling my room and ordered a mirrored sliding door for curb side pick up and it was the only Lowe's that had what I needed. I drove 19.1 miles ... let me tell you about my nightmare. My order was ready pretty quickly so I did the almost 1 hour drive. Once I arrived to the curbside parking I called the number provided. No one ever answered so after 7 phone calls with no response my fiancé decided to go in the store and ask while I kept trying to reach curbside department. Once finally getting a hold of someone I spoke with Lisette who would constantly hang up on me, leave me on hold, say she would transfer me to someone and would literally put the phone down and I would be able to hear the background. Finally after a few minutes my fiancé came back with what we ordered in a cart with an employee who loaded the door. Once I got home we realized the door was damaged so I tried calling again... only to have the same issue with the same person. I asked to speak with a manager and she put me on hold for over 20 minutes so I decided to call from a different number to see if maybe that would change. She answered the other phone immediately and once she heard my voice she hung up on both lines. All in all I ended up returning the door to the Lowe's near my house and not once was I able to get in contact with someone about Lisette and my terrible experience so here I am. Don't waste your time. If you have to go to another location do it. It's not worth the nightmare, waste of time, and absolute lack of customer service. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Soooo Disappointed. Extended Warranty is no more..... Ok... so this is a combination of bad luck, carelessness and bad costumer service. 3.5 hrs ago we remodelled our home and bought 4 appliances. Recently, our Frigidaire washer started acting up, so we decided to call up Lowe's extended warranty department. For some reason we could find all the documentation for ALL the other appliances, EXCEPT the washer, however, we figured Lowe's would have us registered in their system as having purchased the extended warranty, right? WRONG!!! We tried doing it over the phone, and after a few dropped calls and confused operators, we were told that we were not on the system because we did not register our product. That all products MUST be registered after purchase.... WTF!!!! what is the point of registering an appliance if you are spending $$$$$ on the extended warranty? We've never had this problem at SEARS before..... That was it. So we have no documentation, no registration, NO WASHER. We are screwed. NOBODY offered us any type of help or assistance, or even attempt to provide a solution.NONE. Even after personally going to the store. So yes, it was stupid to lose the documentation (which by the way is printed in thermal paper and fades quickly), and we expected to go on a bit of a mission, but nothing like this. ROBERTSON, in the Plumbing department gave me the worst Customer Service ever. I went looking for a Shower Valve and Robertson clearly said that I needed to go to a plumbing supply because "LOWE'S" do not carry any shower valves. I went to the Home Depot and JAIME in the plumbing department there was kind enough to educate me on what exactly I needed, which was to buy a " Shower kit" that brings the "Valve" in it. I went back to LOWE'S to provide feedback and spoke with a manager "JAVIER" which did not show much empathy. So we had a huge cold front come to town with temperatures plummeting to 32 degrees and my apartment doesn't have heat so I desperately needed a space heater. After calling Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, and pretty much everyone that was relatively close to where I live (Coconut Grove), I called Lowe's. I asked if they had any space heaters in stock and they said yes a few but to be sure I get one I should order online and choose store pick-up. I went online and bought one immediately after I hung up and showed up at Lowe's 30 minutes later to ensure I would get a space heater. After I arrived they had me sit down and wait for them to bring it out.. But after 30 minutes, nothing had come out. I was waiting and waiting and finally a lady (named Judith) informed me that their computer system oversold space heaters and they didn't have the one that I purchased or any for that matter.... I was pissed... Judith however was extremely helpful and got on the phone with other nearby Lowe's and found the same space heater I had ordered and had them put one aside for me. When I left the original Lowe's, Judith told me that she was sorry that they made a mistake like that and they actually gave me $20 cash to make up for the error. From there I had to drive another 9 miles out of my way to get the space heater but at least they had in fact put one aside for me so when I got there, there wasn't any issue. All in all I give the Lowe's computer operating system 1 star and Judith 5 stars, which averages to a solid 3 stars. $20 was enough to sway me from being extremely pissed off, to just slightly annoyed. read more

I arrived at this location at 6pm on a Saturday. I got off work at 5 and rushed over to the store knowing that they closed at 9pm. I needed to rent their truck to pick up a baby crib at babies r us. I don't have a truck to load the box in. It would of taken me 1-1.5 hrs to have it returned. They refused service and told me I would get back too close to closing time. I'm sorry but if they close at 9pm not 8:45pm I should make it just fine or am I wrong in that case? Just because the people wanna skip out on work just because they don't want to help me?! Now my new born son's crib might be canceled because I was unable to pick up on time.. I will never shop at Lowe's again. I went over to Home Depot and was helped. June 30, 2017 Another scew up. 3 different Lowes customer service people told me I would be the first delivery tomorrow at 8am. They called to change the time to noon to 2pm. LOWES SUCKS! July 1, 2017 11:45am - XPO (name of Lowes delivery service) says my delivery is running on time so I better be there at noon. 1pm - XPO calls me and automated message says the driver is on his way, will be there at 1:30pm 2pm - driver calls and says he is on his way, only 13 blocks away. 2:30pm - driver calls me and says he has to make another stop before mine. 2:40 - I leave 3: 08 XPO calls to say they are on the way, I tell them to go F themselves. XPO are liars.Sal and Renard in the Lowes Miami Lakes store have been jerking me around all week; its in stock, its not in stock, make up your mind. If I could give this store zero stars I would. I'VW spent thousands of dollars at Lowe's and up until Saturday had been VERY PLEASED with the service. That is UNTIL SATURDAY. It was found the price on the site was INCORRECT but instead of them HONORING the price it was listed at, PATRICE & DANIEL went into the system AFTER I was insisting it be sold to me at the price on the website and chaged it to the amount and REFUSED to HONOR the price that was in the system before they corrected it.
