Just went to Lowes and at checkout the following happened; Tried to sell me their CC. Upon refusal was offered a "special deal" and pitched the advantages of signing up. Still refused and was then offered the opportunity tp donate to Habitat for Humanity. I support them with labor and donations so I declined, and was then pitched how wonderful HFH is. This is unacceptable while trying to simply checkout and I will not go back for more of this. HD no longer does this by the way. read more

Up until now Lowe's seemed no better or worse than the competition. Prices varied sometimes it was best other times the competition was. However this latest is a total breakdown! I purchased a replacement range for an apartment I manage, probuild app reported it would need to be shipped in taking 5 days? It took 9 and was delivered. Then over the weekend I started getting notices online that my order had arrived and was ready for in store pickup. The unit has already been installed and was working and paid for out of my debit card account. I tried to respond and the AI Chat on Probuild kept disconnecting after less than 2 minutes requiring entering all the text again, and again. So I tried to find a phone number? Those are hidden apparently. When I did find the number for the local store ProBuild desk I tried to call several times and never got a connection, let alone a person or robot. The last time I was inside the store I was looking for a storm door lock set and when I asked for assistance the clerk was clueless! I wound up searching over an hour to find the lock comparable for my front storm door Lowe's has no, nada, zero customer service! Had terrible experience on a counter installation. Lowes contractor while trying to turn off a valve on flex line to sink broke plastic pie flooding kitchen. The damage is in thousands and lowes says it's not their fault because pipes are old. The reason was lowes forced the valve that twisted the pipe. I undid the three other flex lines myself , had no problems. Now we are going to have to go to litigation. Lowes never asked us to disconnect anything, charged us extra to take out existing counter with sink attached. No one asked or told us it's our responsibility to to take hose off valves. Now they say it's not their fault? Do not use lowes or their contractor services. I will never use or refer lowes to anyone. read more

I end up there once more for a 1"x 5" blk iron pipe. I knew where to go because by habit I go there often. I pick one out of the box and bring it to self checkout. The SKU is worn, wont go through. "Lois" (watcher of self check out ) sees me, comes over. I show her the problem and say "you can fix it". Her reply(I kid you not), is ''no I can't, I have nothing to go on.'' I say what do you suggest, I go somewhere else?, LOL, they paid her to say-"you can if you want". I did, went to Power Townsend, it was even cheaper. Goodbye Lowes. read more

One star is too many. We bought a dishwasher on September 29th. At first the service was good but there had been one glitch after another , too many associates and zero communication. The dishwasher still is not installed. The installer was here last week and just didn't finish. Now we are told another week! Once the money changes hands the customer service is non existent. We started the project to make the bathroom ADA functional for me (Disabled Veteran) because of my back injury. I was having issues stepping over the the bathtub lip when I got out of the hospital due to a re-injury of an old Army injury. We wanted to make the bathroom a little bigger to widen the door for a walker, when needed. Remove the tub and just have a shower with a bench seat for access. We also wanted to improve the aesthetics in the process. We also decided to redo our small kitchen in the process and a couple of smaller projects to get it all done at once. From the start of the project Lowe's was horrible. They didn't coordinate the supplies and shipments correctly with the contractors, they didn't bother to verify the supplies when they came in, items were damaged, not what we ordered, wrong sizes, the Lowe's installation employees didn't do an initial checklist like they were supposed to, and coordination of projects was extremely disorganized causing major delays. When the new appliances came they had upped the appliances to high end costing appliances and we quickly found out why the budget was inflated. It was our fault for not verifying the final purchase of appliances and to be honest by the time the appliances came we were so sick of the delays and problems we just wanted them done. The contractors Lowe's hired did well on most things except for the shower. The shower leaked through the wall and floor right from the get go. This project started last year around April 2016 and our shower issues are still going on today. We have filed seven requests for repair. The grout the contractor use failed several time cracking and breaking apart. The window seal job they did around the tile wasn't done properly and the water started pooling in the wall and came streaming out the outside of the house, through the wall, into the floor and into the basement. It has been a complete nightmare. Lowe's management has constantly promised resolution, they promised it six times with no resolve. We keep seeing turnover and promises of the issue being fixed, but it still has not been fixed. We highly discourage using Lowe's in Helena Montana for any projects. read more

Every time I go in this store it gets worse. I have to say, I wasn't surprised when I got on here that I saw there rating was a 2 star. I was in the store yesterday looking for a new surround for a bath tub with my family. When we had decided the item to purchase, of course it was heavy and stocked high off the floor, so I went for assistance. At the end of the isle was 3 employees and only 1 customer. I thought to myself, this is going to be quick and easy. Boy was I wrong. I let them finish their conversation, and even made a comment after one of the mentioned that he was going to help the customer that was there, "who's going to help me"? They never even looked at me, no response, and all three went separate directions and left. I have had bad service in this store before, but this even shocked me. I waited for and searched for someone else to help us and finally gave up and went back to where my family was waiting. My son and I managed to get to the item and position it so we could slide it off onto the floor. And a different salesperson walks up and says " you couldn't even wait for someone to help you". My fuse was lit. I replied, that the last three salespeople walked away when I approached them for help. Then, oh then he replied, "well we are short handed". Short handed, 3 sales people standing there, 1 customer, and I couldn't even get a, we'll get someone who can help you with that. That's not short handed, that's poor customer service. read more

Lowe's is seriously the worst place to shop!!!! Their customer service is the worst! The employees walk by and never ask if you need help with anything and then when they do they are absolutely no help. Then you get up to the check out and they hardly even make eye contact with you or say one word to you.We moved from Utah and thought it was just an issue there but after moving to Helena we learned its a Lowe's thing. I honestly think one of the hiring questions is " Do you have good customer service? if you don't then your Hired". Yeah, it's a big box, and I go to Power Townsend and Rockhand first because I like local. I've found the staff at Lowe's to be friendly and helpful, depending on who you get, but I'd say that's 90% of the staff. We've gotten major appliances here and were very pleased. Sometimes a Big Box has stuff you can't get at the locally owned store, and I'd much rather get it here than on the internet that is driving these places out of business. Lowe's is miles above Home Depot in every aspect. We haven't done any remodels with them, but I wouldn't be afraid to go with them considering my experience so far. read more

Last week I waited in the flooring section for 30 minutes while the loud speaker said "special assistance needing in flooring" every 90 seconds yet no one came. I just made a 600 cash payment on my Lowe's credit card and the receipt didn't print. So they sent me to wait in the return lane for 30 minutes while a manager figured out what to do. Every item product that I received after paying 79 bucks for delivery damaged by the Lowes delivery. I paid almost 2 thousand dollars for a delivery where everything I received was broke or filled with RAT nests. The French doors I received had stripped out screws on the hinges that had to be replaced all of this was brought up to Lowes Helena where they promptly didn't give a damn. The brick edges were broke. The sand bags had holes in them that the rats chewed thru. I was missing 4 bags and 6 bags were absolutely empty. I order 800 bricks and were sent 702, the lock set that was sent was busted .. I will never shop at any lowes in the future. You put my project over budget and behind schedule...THANKS LOWES! I tried to add the photos but your system wont let me and I am done spending time on this. We've spent well over $10,000 at the Helena store in the past four years for landscaping materials, lawn tractor, outdoor power equipment, kitchen appliances with warranties, and indoor finishing supplies. Enough! The way store management treats their employees, especially firing the disabled ones and summer students, might be illegal, if not downright immoral. I regret doing business at the Helena Lowe's and will never go there again. Maybe the many store closings by Lowe's will soon include this horribly managed store. This is the WORST Lowe's I have ever dealt with. My husband and I moved to Helena last year and used Lowe's to remodel the home we bought. We spent well over $20,000 at the store for flooring, doors, blinds, appliances and outdoor equipment. We made several attempts to work with Amanda, the installations manager to have the flooring installers complete the job they left unfinished, however, we had to contact corporate to actually get the job done. Now, we've been trying to get the custom Bali shades repaired for three months with no success. We have contacted Amanda via phone, email and text and have contacted corporate twice in order to get the blinds replaced with no success. After the second call to corporate I was told the Regional Manager would contact me within 24 hours but I get a message from Amanda that "I can pick up the clips for the blinds, they're on my desk" in order to repair the blinds. So now we're responsible for repairing the blinds that were reported defective in April. Needless to say our battle is not over with this store. We encourage customers to think twice about using this store for any installation work. They have lost all business from us. read more

Ordered Pella windows for our whole house. Never received a call telling us they had ever come in even though it was past the date. I went to the store and when I finally found a live person, they informed me two of the windows had been broken. Nobody called me, nobody re ordered the windows and we had to wait weeks to get the replacements. What really angers me is the manager of this store was supposed to call me to help make it right. I was told numerous times he would be contacting me. Never happened so guess what Lowes...I'm paying off my shiny new Lowes credit card and going to cut it up into pieces. Oh the thousands and thousands of dollars I won't be spending there remodeling our new 4000 square foot home. You guys might think about getting some more check out people too.
