Tyreen was amazing . I was walking around Lowe's lost, and knowing nothing about wood or anything that relates to being in the store. I stopped and asked a man with a pony tail, who was in the wood section could he assist me, and showed him the table that I wanted the wood to be the length of and he told me go to aisle 51 I believe and I should find some. I told him that I had already went over there but the wood seems to be to big or small and could I get it cut. He told me that I could and go look for a bald guy by the cutting area and he should be able to help me. There was not anyone over in that area. I continue to shop and walk around, and I then seen Tyren two sections over from the wood area, and asked him for assistance. He pulled out a tape measure IMMEDIATELY. Then proceeded to walk me over to the same aisle the man told me, measured the wood and then took it to the cutting table area! Tyren not only made my shopping there great, but also impacted me to not be discourage to come back again based off the first interaction with the older man with the pony tail. Tyren deserves some type of recognition for providing the best customer service ! As Tyren was assisting me, he still was actively assisting other customers as you can see in the video ! I'm not sure if there's more than one Tyren, but this Tyren has dreads, and is African American ! Please give this man the recognition he deserves and earned ! The other man was older, and Caucasian. As someone who is always purchasing home improvement items I have to give Lowes credit as they have not forgotten how to treat their customers. I tend to buy lots of construction hardware such as odd sized bolts and joints for deck framing. This Lowes has a better selection and is better organized than Home Depot in this regard, and the staff in their painting department has always been more than willing to help me find a hard to find item. Now when checking out they email you a receipt (which is great for tracking expenses) and most importantly this Lowes ALWAYS has staff working at the contractor check out area and I have never been forced to self checkout which is now mandatory at Home Depot. read more

Ordered a utility trailer kit from Lowe's on line. $950+. 4 boxes. 3 eventually arrived badly beaten and missing pets with steel frame work bent and torn bolt holes. 1 box still a mystery. Not a good Lowes shopping day... The Craftsman blower my son bought me as a present was broken and I wanted to exchange it. CS said that you no longer carried it, even though it was only a couple of weeks since my son bought it. She said that I could exchange the $180 Craftsman blower for a much cheaper $80 version was no where as good as the one that was broken. No Thanks Lowes! The Customer Service Line curved around to the entrance door. The CS woman had us move the line down the isle... Review #1700 is going be all about my kitchen remodel. Yayyyy! Let's begin... This is going to be a long one, folks. This is a review of the kitchen remodel that Lowe's was at the helm of in my house. Fix a drink. Get a snack. I want to start by saying that I first went to Lowe's over the July 4th weekend to begin the process of building my dream kitchen. This process took way longer than expected- there was joy, there was pain, there was a kitchen. I'm going to cover everything step by step, so if you aren't interested, skip to the end for the cliffs. Floors- So I got the floor tile from Lowe's. After gutting the entire old kitchen (I didn't even have a toaster in there), I call Lowe's (per their instruction) after the kitchen was gutted and they say, "Oh, we can come out in A MONTH and install it then." Sooo I'm supposed to go a month with NO progress being made on my kitchen (floor has to be installed before everything else)? I was freaking out. THANKFULLY my dad asked a friend of his to help me out. He was a total lifesaver and did a great job installing the floor. If Lowe's had told me they needed a month's notice before the floor install, this would have been a non-issue. All's well that end's well, but there could have been more communication. 2/5 Cabinets- I ordered the cabinets first, as per Lowe's instruction. All of the cabinets were delivered to my living room within a month. I had a living room full of kitchen cabinets for 3 months- no kidding. The hiccup came when the cabinet installer (Ron) came to look over the order and discovered nearly half of it was wrong. That was a BIG delay that put my kitchen construction off by about 6 weeks. Ron came back for the install and he was AWESOME. Super nice, personable and he works fast! He was quick to mention if something was damaged and it was nice to know someone was looking out for me. He is definitely a guy you want on your team. I had to order a new cabinet door, because one they sent me was warped, but that was easy enough to deal with. 3/5 Appliances- The microwave/vent was delivered and installed first, with no issues. The rest of the appliances were delivered about a week later, also with no issues. Yay! 5/5 Granite- The first time they came out to measure for the granite, they said that all of the appliances had to be installed first. No one told me this, so measuring was delayed a week. The guy came back out on December 8th and explained that I needed to get a special sink because the cabinet people didn't leave a big enough space for a sink the same size as the old sink...okay. Then they said the granite would take two weeks. They failed to mention that's in "business weeks" and the Christmas/New Years week didn't count, and I owed money that they didn't even tell me I owed so that held the process up. Delay delay delay. Also, getting someone to return a call is darn near impossible. Granite was finally installed on January 19th and if I said it wasn't worth the wait, I would be lying. It was worth the wait and then some: it's just plain gorgeous and perfect and MAKES the kitchen. 4/5 Back splash- purchased at Lowe's and installed by my contractor friend. No problems at all! 5/5 From start (tear out) to finish (back splash install) the whole process took 12 weeks. I must say that now that I am at the end of it, I am extremely satisfied. As upset as I can get about unreturned phone calls and having to hire outside help, I am more than pleased with my new kitchen, and as long as you are aware of the entire process going in, you will be happy with the results. Cliffs: I needed to hire outside help for the floors because scheduling was an issue. Cabinets took a while, but were worth it in the long run. Appliances and back splash are perfect. Granite took a while, but was worth the wait. Follow up on everything and never assume. Grand total: 2+3+5+4+5=19 19÷5=3.8 3.8 rounded up equals 4 stars. read more

Home Depot any day instead of this dump! I think the Lowe's on Barataria is better but here, employees are lazy, unfriendly and unaccommodating. I came here to purchase 4 of their 27 gallon commander totes on sale for $9.98 but there were no carts around so I asked a sales associate for one. I was told to walk down to the other end of the store to "find" one. The skin around my eyes did not expand like my brain was telling it to, nor did my mouth say what I was thinking. Instead, I picked up the totes and carried them to the register and decided to come back for the lids. This same associate said, "You forgot the lids!" See, I prayed for patience and I figured I'm being tested so I just looked and smile lol. I'm not having this Lowe's employee ruin my day. Don't bother. I was charged a $75 delivery fee for a mini fridge that was simply left in the middle of my living room. I tried to work with customer service and the store manager, Lindsay, to try to get it resolved. I was told that it's a third party delivery service named Spirit, and I am getting bounced between the two. Ultimately, I am a customer of Lowe's - not Spirit. Nobody has tried to call or follow up with me after several hours of my life on hold and getting the run around. Never again. read more

This Lowe's has declined tremendously, no one has any training, things are not where they supposed to be, it's really bad you can not find anything. I am a volunteer who feeds the community cats at the side/rear back areas of LOWES in Harvey. I do not shop at the store. But I try and do my part as a neighbor. Anyway, there was a huge leak in the back lot: it went on for weeks. I had to wear boots to wade thru ankle deep swamp..to the cats and, set their food out. I tried several times to reach out to LOWES inside the store, got barely more than a blink. They could care less. Finally an outside repair person did come by to fix it, and he was all thumbs. The water is spewing out again. But - wow lookie!!! all new parts. Bet they charged a nice buck for that bungle job, too...I used to be in maintenance back in NYC and I can spot bad plumbing at fifty paces. When I tried to write their office about this, I got some pain in the ass auto-reply. So much for good plumbing, or a good service focus. This reflects poorly on LOWES, overall. Their water bill will likely go through the roof. Thank goodness I don't actually SHOP there. And, that their plumber is not MY plumber..Lucky thing tho' - still got my boots in the car... read more

I recommend you don't buy anything to have delivered from Lowe's. I bought 2400$ work of kitchen stuff from them 3 weeks ago to be delivered on the day I move into my new house. I was given a delivery time from 8am to 8pm. The driver called me at 330 and told me he was was hoping to make the delivery. I called a store manager and he assured me my delivery would be there between 7pm -8 pm. I called the driver back at 715 and he told me he was not going to make it tonight because he ran out of time. I've tried over 10 times to talk to a manager and have been hung up on and transferred and never got to a manager. They are quick to take your money but ruin a great day of moving Into a new house by not being able to deliver appliances that are needed. Go elsewhere if your looking to get your products on time. I will say the driver didn't care whether I got my stuff or not. This is horrible customer service. I will be asking for my money back and I will give it to the competitor. read more

Customer service is terrible. I have done two store pickups recently. I could have ran in, shopped around and got the items and been home with them before the time it took to pickup at the customer service counter. Each time they had multiple reps helping just one customer. One person interacting with the customer and computer while 2 to 4 others standing by them watching and pointing at things on the computer screen. SMH. Don't get me started on my recent canceled scheduled delivery from this store! They canceled a item on me last second so I called and cancelled the entire delivery order. They canceled the delivery but two days later I get a email saying "Your items were delivered" and I notice on my bank statement I even got charged for the items and delivery the day before the email. Nothing got delivered, it was canceled! It's now been 3 days of trying to get a refund and at the end of each call I make about it, I'm told to wait 24 to 48 hours for a response. Time to switch to Home Depot I guess. read more

I kept looking, up & down the shelves & was beginning to think I wasted my trip there. Then a nice gentleman named David walked up to me & asked could help me. I told him I was looking for the peat moss that I saw online at lowes.com that was listed as being in stock there. I told him one was in a green bag & the other was in a white bag. David immediately knew what I wanted & brought me outside to the larger bags. Had David not approached me, I was on my way out to another store. What a great proactive employee. We ordered a Christmas tree online on Dec 26 and she called us to let us know that they were out of stock. It was clear the issue was far beyond her control, but she remained steady headed and faced customers with grace. We were disappointed, but Brandi's kind apologies helped to ease the pain. The next day, Brandi called again to let us know they had found a few in stock. She made sure to get in touch with us and GET US OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS TREE EVER!! There was a surplus of customers in the same situation as ours, and her care was astounding. She knew us by name and made sure we ended the year on a high note. Bought door, install, washer, refrigerator, blinds, install-all horrible. Delivery trucks do not communicate with main office. I have no clue what time the delivery people are coming. Door install : the installer did not drill the hole correctly ON THE DOOR for the alarm sensor to come out correctly. I had to pay out of pocket $100 to get it fixed correctly. The alarm repair guy even wrote a paragraph on the invoice to explain how the door installer screwed up. I tried to get the money back from the installer. Lowes would not help me nor the contractor. Washer and refrigerator delivery was a hot mess since the delivery people do not communicate with the install sales . Blinds were not cut correctly twice. TWICE. The poor blind installer had to come twice. I had to stay home twice. We only had four blinds to install. He even wrote the measurement on the box. Lowes still got it wrong.
