So the tech Brandon was actually quite lovely. He did what he could with what resources he had…read morewhich was literally just him. I paid $450 to fix my washer/dryer combo because the dryer drum was loose. I also paid that amount to help Brandon since it was a two-man job. I have no idea why the owner didn't come out to help or send someone to help. Anyway, a knob was damaged during the repair. I thought I could glue it which I discovered later didn't work. Brandon "tested" the dryer and the drum was fixed but I was not shown that the heat source was working. It may have been at that time but a week later when I actually needed to do laundry I realized the heat source in the dryer was not working. Upon contacting the owner I was interrupted and spoken over and basically told I needed to hire an electrician on top of paying them to test the voltage in the outlet. I decided to cut my losses with Bolt at this point. I don't want them to touch my appliances. At this time, it takes about four days to dry clothing just restarting the dryer every time it stops and it's now squeaking incessantly. Bolt didn't fix it, they made it worse and it cost me $450 that I could have put towards a new unit. My mistake was only looking at their Thumbtack reviews. Also, this was NOT Brandon's fault. Update: had an electrician come out today. There's nothing wrong with the outlet voltage. So Bolt charged me $450 to break my appliance.

I did what we all do and hopped online to find the quickest fix possible. I stumbled upon Justin's yelp page and saw the rave reviews. I called him without hesitation. To my surprise he was able to come the next morning! I was filled with relief knowing I only had to make it one night through the unbearable heat. Later that night, however, the air seemed to be working again! Huzzah! I texted Justin that I no longer needed him. Upon waking at 5am, however, I realized the A/C had given me false hope and was broken once again. Later that morning I called Justin hoping he'd still be free. Not only was he free, but he was at my house within hours. Within 30 seconds of arriving Justin knew exactly what the issue was. He walked me through the steps I could take to prevent it from happening again and gave me tips on how to not get scammed by other contractors. I had also been having issues with my dishwasher which he kindly took a look at. A true jack of all trades! If you need a contractor, handyman, or just a reliable guy to chat with, Justin is your guy.

(which meant I couldn't control my heat or AC - quite uncomfortable,) Justin agreed to fix it and pay half of of a new one. (Seemed strange that he would only pay half since he basically didn't complete the work.) I talked to him twice over a few week period and he said he would come back and fix it. It's now been a month and haven't heard back from him so, I gave up, bought a new thermostat and installed it myself. Gene D'Amour
