THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. They also do business as NOLA Appliance Repair. Here is my review from that listing: I wish we had read the reviews. We stupidly paid up front for a dishwasher repair, and they said they were "going to pick up a part" and would be back the next day, that was over a week ago. We've been calling and leaving messages, but no response. If they needed more time, all that was expected is a simple, two- second response of "waiting on a part" or ANYTHING, literally ANY response would have been reasonable. I have a business and if I ran it this way I would be OUT of business. Reading similar, repeated reviews from the last several years I cannot understand how this business has survived as long as it has. If I could call every potential client of these guys personally and warn them off, I would. This is the first review I have ever written, and that should speak volumes. Running off with people's money is theft. The plan is to call both the police and the better business bureau about these guys. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you DON'T use them. Call literally ANYONE else. Also, please read their responses to critical reviews on Google where they call one of their clients a "crackhead". What kind of business does that? Every one of their responses to their horrible reviews reads as if the clients are somehow irrational for expecting the bare minimum of normal service, communication or competence. Look, we have all come across bad businesses before, but this is the first time I have ever been moved to write a review like this, to try and protect other people if nothing else. As an update to this: we just called in another service company and they fixed the dishwasher in 5 minutes. It did NOT need any parts at all. NOLA Appliance Repair is simply a scam. Luckily, we have a network of attorneys that we support, and we have sympathetic ears at City Hall, so we are working both to get our money back and have the owner - Zach Frigo - brought up on fraud charges. read more

I can assure you Zack and his company have never provided service greater than 1 star. He came to my house to repair my stove, "diagnosed" and provided an estimate. He requested a deposit for parts, which was provided. After that he disappeared and would not answer phone calls or emails for 4 weeks, then on a friday he showed up at my door unannounced to install the parts and finish the repair. In less than 10 minutes he broke a piece and left with everything. For the past 4 weeks he has not answered phone calls, text messages or emails. I have called the police to file charges for theft as he stole the deposit I provided. read more

Zac at Nawlins Solutions is most friendly and the model of excellent customer service. He came out to adjust my 1940's oven (he knows his stuff) and didn't charge me bc of a warranty he had contracted w my landlord. He thoroughly inspected the oven and explained its inner workings to me. Overall a great job. I may even buy a washer or dryer from NS bc he also sells used appliances. GTO Pro gate would not open or close. Zach, the owner carefully assessed the problem and determined what needed to be done. He kept me updated on the status of parts that were ordered. On time for every visit. Very professional, completed the work with excellent results. Pricing is very fair. If I need any other work done I will not call anyone else. I had a water leak in the refrigerator yesterday. I called this company and got the owner Zach on the phone. He gave me a description on what could possibly be wrong and said that it would be $40 to come out, but that would go to me bill. He came out today and unclogged my line from the icemaker and was done in 20 mins! He was very nice and professional. My total bill was $50. Since he was so nice, I gave him a $10 tip! I've been using this service for my personal home AND rental properties for 4 or 5 years. Probably 10-12 repair calls on various appliances over the years. I had a terrible experience with this repairman and company. They get a bad rating from me for their lack of customer service (nonexistent), disorganization, and dishonesty (not doing what they said they would do.) Companies that don't honor their word have no place in people's fast-paced lifestyles. I like to get things done, and then "be over" with it. This company dragged my oven repair (or "lack of repair") out for months and months. Zach Frigo came out on the service call in November 2014 to diagnose my expensive oven part that needed replacing. He estimated a few weeks on getting the part and having oven finished; by end of year I still had not heard from him. I called office, got no answer, got busy signals and messages that phone service was out of order. I figured they had closed shop. Then, on a whim, I decided to try contacting again since I had already paid $ for the service call to my house and didn't want to have to call a different company now. This time I tried an email address. FINALLY he responded and said my service order must have gotten misplaced and to please scan and send it to them. Which I did. I even called his office and finally talked to his wife or secretary a few times. Then, in APRIL 2015, I receive this message: Apr 16 "We cannot source the part for the oven. We were sent the wrong one. The company I got the price from last time does not have it and now the cheapest I can find it online is more that $100 more for the part than I quoted the entire job..... Anyway, yes your paper invoice was lost. Just looking at the price given and the price of that part, plus the amount of time you have already waited, I think it's best that we pass on the job. Your service fee of $40 will be refunded to you via check in the next 7-10 days. I found these guys on Craigslist and was attracted to them because their service call was only $35 compared to $80 or $90 at most other places. I called on Wednesday afternoon and they were able to come out the next morning. They diagnosed the problem with my stove, popped in a new ignitor and were finished in less than an hour. Total charge including the parts and housecall: $85. Makes you feel good that there are honest people out there. Would definitely call again! read more

I really wish I could give 0 stars. I contacted Nawlins Solutions dab NOLA Appliance Repair to repair a built in Thermador convection microwave oven. On his first trip Zach (sole proprietor) was unable to figure out how to remove the trim to gain access to the microwave. After having the installer uninstall the microwave I again contact Zach who came out to complete the repair. While trying to diagnose the problem Zach began grumbling that he has been thinking about not doing microwaves because they take too long to diagnose. After changing one part Zach found himself unable to diagnose the problem. While I was working in another part of the house ZACH SNUCK OUT without saying a word to me. When I realized he had left I tried to reach him by phone. I got a 'this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service' message. Since he called me from that number less than an hour before I can only assume he blocked my number? I found a note he left stating: "I cannot find fault. Not willing to just change parts. Have long thought about no longer working on microwaves. I just finalized decision. Sorry." read more
