I wanted to return an item that I had purchased more than 90 days earlier. A store manager told me that I would need to contact Lowes headquarters, which I did. They approved the return and said I would get a call from the store to bring the item in. I waited several days and when I did not get a call, I went to the store. Called to find out if my dishwasher had arrived at their store and got a fill in who was of very little help, He knew very little and could only tell me of his shortcoming rather then make any effort to assist me. Instead all I was was able to find out was the person who could help me was out to lunch. Before I could ask anything else, he hung up the phone. Was there this morning to get a piece of metal pipe to use as a stop for a sliding window. Once I found the pipe I wanted, I asked to have it cut to a certain length. It seemed that no one was trained to use the cutting and threading machine. The one person who did say they knew how to use it had an attitude when he came over. I told him what length I wanted and what I was going to use it for. He had the audacity to tell me "why would you use metal, most people use wood and it's easier to cut". That's when I realized that he didn't know how to cut the pipe. He called another department to see if they had what I wanted. After going all the way across the store to look at this item, it wasn't what I needed. So we went back and told him we still wanted the pipe because what he sent us to get wouldn't work. He blew out his breath and asked why and then told us it would work. When I explained that it was too big for a window and it was designed as a door brace that is placed on the floor and leaned against a door to keep it from being forced open he kept saying that it would still work for a window. While he was complaining and being argumentative, my wife found what we were looking for on Amazon. I stopped talking to the salesman and left. We got 2 of what we wanted for $14 and not the $30 door stop or $15 pipe we were originally going to get. Lowe's train you staff of the equipment they need to use and soneone needs to find out why almost everyone in that store is so nasty. read more

Customer Service is dreadful! There is a specific woman who works the self check-out and she is will argue, shame and make you feel horrible whenever you ask a question. Her Manager is also equally as nasty and uncooperative. In addition, I have placed two online orders and when I showed up to pick up the orders, the product wasn't there. I asked for the amount to be credited back and an argument ensued that I needed to wait for it to ship to my house instead. I preferred to cancel the order and buy elsewhere. Rodney is great, though! Had to go to Home Depot for what I needed. Searched for quite a while but only found PVC kitchen sink drain trap. Walked up and down a couple aisles looking for someone to help but ended up leaving with PVC stuff that didn't fix the problem. Gooped it up with plumbers putty as a last resort until I could find the parts I needed at Home Depot. Pretty disappointing with checkout employees on cell phones and paying little if any attention to customers not to mention ducking out when the see approaching customers seeking assistance. My perception of Lowes in general was due in part to HD's usually being more convenient geographically. But my contractor advised me to check this one out and I'm very glad I did. There are less building supplies, but perhaps more of the decor and and fine touch items you might require. My first several visits were mainly in the cabinet department where I was very fortunate to deal with Peter in the selection and customizing process. His laid back but detail oriented demeanor made the process almost painless( up until the actual checkout) I had looked for cabinets at other businesses but the variety of colors, styles and price points made this my best option. Peter shored up the deal every time I met with him. On subsequent visits I have noticed this customer service( though to a lesser extent) in other departments. As for pricing, and I have done homework here, I do not see a major difference in both big box chains. And with the Lowes card and the 5% off, the better deal may be found here. read more

Customer service needs major improvement! You can tell they are massively understaffed. On my most recent visit I was struggling to find something I need when a sales associate finally entered the aisle he decided to approach and help the one other person in the aisle first. After finishing with him he turned looked at me (still in the same place as when he entered the aisle) and then turned to help the other male who had just entered the aisle. I never saw another associate free during my visit but was able to finally find what I needed. On another visit I've seen an associate working a major sale in appliances solo and helping customers in other departments. leaving customers needing help without it at many times. Another time on a Saturday afternoon the only checkout counter open was the self checkout which is hard to use when buying bulky items and items that have a security tag. read more

I recently went to Lowe's after having a not so great experience with Home Depot. I needed a washer and dryer asap for a reasonable price. Dion went above and beyond to help me in every way possible. She worked with me for nearly an hour and got me a washer and dryer that will be delivered in just days. She was calling both the warehouse and other stores to get me something as soon as possible. Eric, the manager was also very helpful. This will now be my go to store for all my home needs for our new home. EDIT: We had some small bumps with the delivery and Judy called shortly after and made the situation right. I trusty feel valued here! If I could give them a zero I would. Purchased a refrigerator 8/15/2021 delivered on 8/28/2021 with a broken door. Warranty company took months to fix. Then on 12/23/2021 the entire refrigerator died. Warranty company said it was the compressor, whirlpool deemed it unfixable and bounced the problem back to Lowes. It is now over a month later of fighting to get a refund or replacement. The customer service does not help or give you proper information. Highly disappointed. read more

I ordered a washer /dryer in August and wanted delivery in October due to construction of my home. Well, on my delivery day the dryer never arrived. After many calls to the store I asked to speak to a manager and got connected to Jeff. Jeff is the Operations Manager of the store. He advised me that the dryer was sold to someone else before my delivery date. I could come pick out another one (that does not match my new washer) but he did not have the one I ordered and did not expect another delivery until November. His comment was "you must pass 5 Lowes on the way here so go look for one". He is so unprofessional and rude I find it hard to believe Lowes has him employed! Over the years, I have usually gone to the Home Depot for my renovation needs, but this store was part of the same complex where I shop for food and I decided to check it out. Though I found what I needed and more, I thought the choice was limited comparing it with what I'm used to. The employee were courteous and efficient in their directions and advices. As most of these stores, the place is huge and you can easily find yourself walking for hours if you don't ask for help. Since its part of a complex, you can park and go to do your shopping, keeping your car in one spot. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I wanted to buy a refrigerator for a rental property, and I ordered it online. My tenant waited all day for delivery, for nothing! Lowes cancelled the order because it was not in stock. I then spent 45 min on the phone and had another refrigerator ordered, they compensated me with a $50 credit and a larger fridge for the same price. It was delivered, but it was a freezer and not a refrigerator. Spent 2 hours on the phone this Sunday, everyone was "so sorry" , gave me a slightly larger fridge promised to come out Monday and take the freezer and bring the new refrigerator, which the operator called and confirmed was in stock. Now 1 hr later someone is calling saying it is not in stock. How can a multinational company have such an inaccurate online inventory. I hate LOWES, complete waste of time. read more

Awful! I used Lowe's to buy and install two short lengths of fence with gates. I went with them due to the low price.the installers they use did not do a very professional job.they sunk the posts too low(even though my neighbors fence is right there to use as a guide).they then dug a large hole in front of the gate to allow it to open.of course when it rained left a large mud puddle in front of the gate rendering it unusable.after a call to the installer and 2 to Lowe's they finally came out,but instead of raising the gate,they dug a trench to drain the water and mud into my neighbors yard.I may have to call a real fence company to fix the problem.they also left lots of dirt in the yard which I will have to get rid of.don't be fooled by the low price.not worth it! read more

This is the second time I've placed an order for curbside pickup here. The first time, the sales associate brought the order out to my car with absolutely no mask on. This time I've had to go to the store twice. The first time I time I came I tried for 20 minutes to get through no one answered. No one in customer service answered or anywhere else in the store. I called Lowe's corporate and waited for another 40 minutes for someone not even to get my name and say the store would be told about the problem. Today I've been here for another 15 minutes and called 3 times, finally got through to customer service. Curbside pickup should not be this difficult. Take my advice. On 11/9/2019, we purchased a microwave at Lowe's in Hamilton, NJ. It was a special order, because we needed it in white. It is now almost a full month later, and they still do not have this appliance in. We went to the store two weeks ago, and they told us that the appliance is scheduled to be shipped on 11/26. That date came and past. We have been trying to call and go online to find out about the status of this order. We have checked online, and continue to receive the same message: "We're sorry, but we're unable to locate your order at this time. Please try again later, or call Customer Care at 1-800-44-LOWES (56937) for further assistance." Then, we try calling the number (609-581-8740), and after pressing countless buttons to hear endless options, the menu loops around for another 10 minutes, until a human being finally answers the phone, then transfers us to "appliances", where we wait for a person to finally answer a phone there. When someone does answer the phone, we have to re-explain, yet again, that we're calling about the status of this microwave, only to be told that it has not arrived yet. This has become BS now, and we are unable to get this issue resolved. It's obvious that Lowe's does not even care. I called the store manager. I called him to complain about the lack of customer service. The only thing this manager told me was that he was going to check on the order, which is what I just did. I repeated to him about 10 times over that I already called and spoke to someone at the appliance department, who told me the order is not in yet. He then told me that he would transfer me back to appliances again. I told him that I already spoke to that person in appliances, so he is completely wasting my time. He then stated that he will hang up on me if I continue to get upset. I told him that I am getting frustrated over the COMPLETE lack of assistance, and getting the run around. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES AGAIN. I am going there right now to get my money back. ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSEABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. i'll make this short. tons of home projects. we shop here and at Home Depot (across the street) nearly once a week for 20 years. we found ourselves on this side of 130 last night. we needed two simple things and ran in here. we were delighted with the "Veterans only" parking spots near the door. As a 20-year veteran...how cool. now, as we were checking out I pulled out my military ID, as both Lowes and HD give a nice 10% military discount -- always appreciated, AT HD all you do is show your ID and bam...10 percent. At Lowe's I was told that unless I had registered online, uploaded my DD214 -- no discount. I looked at the guy and asked if he was serious. I am holding my ID; he looks up my phone number up, I come up -- but since I have not jumped through hoops to register -- no discount. That was upsetting. So HD it is. Easy decision. read more

i placed 2 online orders: the first ordwr was an in store pick up at this location. so much to my surprised ---- they tried to ripped me off by not giving me my complete order that i placed and had to wasge my gas and time just to go back for my missing items. at first they would not give me my missing items until i had to argue with the dumb ass behind the counter that they should check the security cameras to see what was on the cart when i left the first time around. i spend 2 hours going back and forth just to get my items. my second order got delivered almost 2 weeks to arrive when i was supposed to get the item in 6 bbusiness days. the shower doors came completely damaged, and the customer service agent over the phone is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I'd give zero stars if that were an option. Buyers beware: do NOT purchase Lowe's appliance protection plan. They have been unable to fix my 3-year young Kitchenaid dishwasher. Their repair people have been to my house numerous times, and I have been unable to use my dishwasher for about 4 months now. The protection plan promises to replace if they cannot fix the appliance, but they refuse to do so. They've wasted their money on all kinds of parts including a motor, with no success.
