Needed to purchase some white chase lounges that my client saw on the Lowe's website. Local store in Greenwood, SC had 4 of them in stock. 2 of them were dirty, scratched and damaged. After review and discussion with Zaire at the service/return desk it was determined that it may be best to purchase all 4 in stock in the store as no further chairs were coming from the Lowe's distribution center. Zaire explained the return policy for items purchased online that were also in stock at the store and also on discount. The website price was higher than the local store price because inventory reduction was in progress. Of course, my client needed 4 chairs and 2 of the 4 at the local store were damaged. In less than 24 hours a price was available for the chairs in stock and my client was able to use the 4 chairs even though there was some damage. Zaire was able to resolve issues for me, my client and get the last 4 chairs gone from the Lowe's inventory. She and I discussed the issue twice on two different days as I had to relay information back to my client. she was always professional and attentive to my questions and able to explain how the policy worked for Lowe's. While in the store I was able to observe her interaction with other employees, answer the phone and talk with superior manager to get solutions approved. She was very impressive and if Lowe's gets to keep her she will go far. She truly is a star at my local Lowe's in Greenwood, SC and I hope that they keep her. I've got to say I was very disappointed with today's visit to Lowe's. I've been coming to this location for 10 years. We are remodeling our bathroom, and laundry room, Today my husband came in and looked around for awhile until we decided what we wanted. Obviously there were many things, as a remodel isn't easy or cheap. We found a worker and asked for help, she was AWFUL. I try to never be this person but it was just terrible. Every other worker there is always so friendly and helpful. We asked her for help and in the middle of my husband telling her what we needed she started laughing and turned to another employee and continues talking about her I'm assuming her significant other. We waiting a second kind of shocked and asked for help again, she replied with she got off in 25 minutes and it was to much work for her to do in that time. We could ask someone else or go home. My jaw dropped. I mean just dropped. We left and will not be returning. This is terrible. This young ladies tag said "Becca" and she really destroyed my image of Lowe's today. read more

Over all it's an pretty descent store. A bit pricey on most items, but they have really good sales if you can catch them. I'm a frequent shopper in their Garden Center, particularly their house plants. Their house plants selection has become stagnated. It's the same plants year round, an over load of palms, Ivy, and Begonias. There is a huge selection of different house plants available, yet they stick to the same ones season in and seasons out. We visited Lowe's today, to purchase heating elements for my lady's water heater. Was also looking for the tool to remove the elements. A lady looked at her computer and said they didn't have any!! Then I ran into another employee named Mike in the plumbing department. I was looking at walk-in showers for my next project at my house. After he clocked in, he came right back. Mike was very nice and was eager to help my Lady and I. He answered all my questions without trying to move me along!! After looking at the showers, Mike noticed I had the heating elements in my buggy. He asked me if I needed the tool to remove the elements. I told Mike that the Lady told me they didn't have any. Mike said there was two boxes of them! Walking down the isle, he found a few hanging off those plastic strips Lowes uses!! I was like, you gotta be kidding me. The help and assistance Mike gave us was absolutely AMAZING!!! Lowe's needs more employees like Mike!!! I asked him when does he work mostly, he said he was retired and was working part time. It's a pleasure meeting people like Mike, I'll be asking for Mike the next time I need anything in plumbing!!! Hopefully Lowe's of Greenwood SC will give Mike a pat on the back and he being recognized for the fantastic customer service!!! I normally shop at the Lowe's in Spartanburg SC near my house. These employees are amazing. The store is a bit dirty and could use some TLC, but I think that the employees are just too busy taking excellent care of the customers. We have been doing a major remodel and every department has been so patient with us. Appliances, Gary and weekend Rita, blinds I think his name was Justin, so kind and the best in carpeting is Lanier and for water heaters see Marsha, she was so nice. Customer reps are completely uninterested in helping you figure out what you need. There are a few that go above and beyond, and they will tell you they feel unappreciated by their peers. I'd go somewhere else if you are trying to figure out what exactly you need, but if you know exactly what you need, by all means, go because no where else has it. Store is also dirty read more

This store needs another competitor. We were looking at floor covering and there were three employees in the area discussing personal issues. We were not noticed. Should have known better though. Several yrs ago we remodeled our kitchen had a Lowes estimator come out, and he did not have a tape measure. ''Twas the night before Thanksgiving and my refrigerator was not delivered as previously promised by Lowe's, Greenwood, South Carolina store manager. I am extremely disappointed that I will have a house full of guests for Thanksgiving dinner and will not have an operational refrigerator. On Monday morning at 7:00 am, I arrived a Lowe's to purchase a refrigerator, due to the condenser in my current refrigerator having died. The store manager told the appliance employee to override the initial delivery date of the week following Thanksgiving and schedule my new refrigerator to be delivered the day before Thanksgiving. The delivery time would be 8 am to 8 pm. Today at 4:30 pm when the refrigerator had still not been delivered, I was told by the extremely rude customer service rep that the delivery time is 8 am to 8 pm and, since the refrigerator was not in the store, the refrigerator was on the delivery truck. At 8 pm when my refrigerator was still not delivered, I called Lowe's again only to learn the ice maker was on the truck, but not the refrigerator, as the Greenwood Lowe's does not even have that model refrigerator in the store. On Monday when the refrigerator was ordered, we were advised the store had 2 of the refrigerator model that I purchased in the store. The customer service in this store is fantastic! I went to purchase a specific blind, but they were out of stock. The girl helping me offered to check on the backup inventory. Not only was it available but it would be shipped to me for free!!! Very impressed!!! read more
