I went their to look at and sit in the recliners they show online! I couldn't find them so asked a male salesperson where I could find them. He decided to be a smart ass and give me a lecture on their website and how if you don't see a location (aisle and bin) online, then they don't stick the item. That is not what I expected from Lowe's! I used have respect for them, but as a result of that visit and that comment, I will always go to Menards! I hate Home Depot because I was screwed by a salesman there almost 10 years ago by overcharging me on appliances when I clearly told him I did Not want features on a washer/dryer I bought new! i always loved lowes and always recieved excellent customer service at the arizona stores. after moving to east peoria i visited this location and have never had worse service any where. i was in the store to make several purchases to update the kitchen appliances in my new home. I was also lokking to purchase a pergola as well as a grill, patio furniture and a zero turn lawnmower. out of 15+ employees not one would help me I would walk up to an employee( none were busy except cahatting with other employees) and they would turn and walk away. one even reeked of a skunky smell. i will never return to this store or possibly any lowes again. i wish I could give negative stars. read more

The manager "Rob" was rude and not helpful I bought some SharkBite plumbing fittings didn't need them they were still in the bag and unopened he said we cannot take them back he was very Point blank not helpful at all I asked why he says it's on your receipt when I asked him to show me where he said right there where it says Lowe's return policy go to the website and you'll see it I had my receipt but because it was 98 days instead of 90 days it was invalid. read more

I will never purchase anything from Lowes again. We were in their East Peoria store today. There was a Bosch planer on clearance that I've been eyeing for the last 3 weeks or so. It was priced like anything you would expect to find on clearance, reasonably discounted in an effort to sell. Today I finally decided to buy it only to be told at the register that they could not sell it to me due to what the store manager called a buy back (yet they never pulled the item from the shelf). After leaving the store very frustrated, I called Lowe's customer service trying to get some resolution. After speaking with 2 different people, it was very clear their only purpose was to try to get me off the phone. They both said they would make a recommendation that product be pulled from the shelf when something like a buy back takes place, yet never asked for my name or any sort of contact info for follow up. This is a very poor manner of doing business. Although legally within their right to chose not to sell the item to me, they should accept that it was their fault that it was still on the shelf and honor the sale. read more

Bought a craftsman lawn mower less than a year ago on lowes credit card. Mower won't start, called east peoria store....not helpful at all. Said they can't even tell me when I purchased the mower. Had to call credit card company they were no help. Dont buy the craftsman brand. Quality has decreased significantly. Associate acted like it was an inconvenience to talk or try and help. I finally got my purchase & am updating from 1 to 2 stars. They even left six pieces of 8' x 8' manufactured rocks that was delivered in errors. So, I paid for 10, and have 16. I asked the Lowe's delivery driver this morning when he brought the correct 10 pieces, to take away the six that I did not buy. He said he wasn't told anything about that. So Joe the manager apparently is letting me have those extra six pieces for free. That of course changes things. It doesn't erase the pervasive incompetence or the lying though. The best Lowe's! Come here almost every week with my doggies and my dogs absolutely love people there! Never had issues with returning any items. We ordered 4x4 pallets and cinder block pallets and didn't have any issues with returning bad looking ones. The percentage of bad wood we got was minimal and we are very happy with that. The personnel is absolutely fantastic! Very nice and kind people also very knowledgeable if you have any questions. I still don't understand how this store has such bad reviews. We basically live in this store and haven't had any problems. read more

Very poor customer service. Tried to order some high end decking. "Joe" the cashier(I don't think he knew enough to be anything else) did not know how so he tried to call "Mike" his manager. Manager of the department or of the store he refused to tell me. "Mike" never showed. After three phone calls and 30 to 45 minutes "Mike" still never showed. and from overhearing part of the last phone call, I'm not sure he ever actually was able to contact "Mike". STAY AWAY. Washer/dryer purchased. 3 attempts at hookup and still no results. Call a plumber they said. Installers failed to bring stacking kit and said dryer was electric, not gas. Next installer said it was gas, but could not connect hose. 6 days after moving in, still unable to do laundry. Different installers every time, very sketchy people. Came with my family to look at mowers and there was noone to help us so we stood around for a hour waiting and when we finally got help we made the decision to purchase a riding mower. When we got to the checkout there was a new employee who was having difficulties with the transaction and was asking for help but noone came. We stood at the checkout line while she left the cash register to find someone to help her and after about 30 minutes we finally got someone to help us. After this purchase was made we found out we got charged multiple times for 1.7k and now we are having to dispute the charge after hours on the phone with lowes even with the receipts from our card they told us it was put on hold but that did not happen according to our card so now we have to waste our time over their mistake.. Absolutely horrible ! Bought a washer dryer set from this EP location set up delivery then got a call from the bloomington Store that the order was transferred to them for delivery but in fact there was a mistake made and the item isn't in Stock so they had to cancel my order. rather then the money going back on my card i was told I had to go back to the original store EP to get the money back in cash (makes no sense) but I called the EP store to confirm this was correct and was told yep you have to come in for a Point of sale refund in cash even tho it was purchased on a debit card. So .. I drive back to EP store only to be told I had to actually go to the Bloomington store for the refund in cash. I stood there for over an hour for them to look into it and insisted I must go to Bloomington for my money back ... I never ever went to freaking Bloomington ... I purchase from EP used a card why the hell am I now having to drive to Bloomington for a refund ... after being told by 2 diff people to come get my refund in EP. I've now driven Over 2 hours back and forth to EP store for my order to be cancelled and no refund until I drive another hour round trip to Bloomington !!!! Horrible !!!!!!! Four months ago I hired Lowes to install windows at my residence. The windows are still unfinished as of today. The installer came by on the date agreed to and installed the windows but not the metal exterior trim, saying you did not want that done. Of course I wanted it done, that is what I paid for! That was 4 months ago, I keep getting promised that it will be completed in two weeks. Every two weeks there is an "issue" as to why it can't be completed that day. When I ask why they can't finish my windows the very next day or day(s) I'm told that the schedule won't allow it and it will be another two weeks. The store manager won't move my date up on their schedule, I called corporate to make a complaint and was assured it would be resolved and I would be contacted in 24 hours. Four days later I called to find out what the status was, and was told the store closed it out (E. Peoria, Illinois) as I "agreed" to their resolution. They never called me, and now I've lost all faith that my windows will be completed as my "agreement" was a complete lie. Here I am 4 months later with a project that has been fully paid for there is no sight of it being completed. Don't make the same mistake I made, take your business elsewhere... read more

I bought A refrigerator and dish washer and some other things at Lowes in East Peoria Illinois on Feb 27 2019 when they had 11% rebate. I asked the sales person if they were included in the rebate and he said they were included. I also asked the lady at checkout and she said everything is included in the rebate. When I finally got an email that said they were processed in April they did not include the rebate for the appliances. I called to ask about the rebate and was told it didn't include appliances. If I had known that before I bought them I would have gone to Home Depot. I got screwed out of $200.00 I will never shop at Lowes again. The prices at Menards are lower and they honor there rebates. read more

I used to be a fan of Lowe's flooring and installation and recommended them to friends and family. But something has changed....And at this point, I could not recommend them. We have been waiting almost a month now for the installers to come and finish the job. We've called Lowe's and their schedulers 6 times (not an exaggeration) to finally get it scheduled for today between 8 and 10 and they never showed up! Now getting the run around again! My boyfriend and I had to buy a new dryer, so my mom checked out Lowe's for us. The dryer we bought was the floor display, and it works amazingly. The two men who delivered it were incredibly friendly and made sure it was hooked up correctly and worked before they left. 10/10 would recommend! read more

We purchased $4600 worth of appliances from them, at first we thought everything went very well. They said all the right things promised everything would go smoothly from delivery to instillation.The only part that went well was the instillation, that is because it was the only thing they didn't do, they contract it out to another company. The delivery drivers were also good and helpful in fact I felt bad for them. We bought the appliances in the beginning of the month we were told the refrigerator would take longer due to it not being in stock but would in by the 20th or 25th but everything else would be installed and done before then. The sales person said if we had any problems to give him a call, I called a couple of times and got stuck in some twilight zone loop of button pushing nightmare and was on the phone for at least 15 mins both times and never talked to a person either time. Now it is the 2nd of the following month, we have had the refrigerator for a week and the dishwasher today. To be fair the washer and dryer could not be installed because it would not fit through one of the doorways. That is on us not them. The only reason the dishwasher was even delivered and installed today was because I called the corporate customer service line and threw a fit because I was tired of being told one excuse after another by everyone in the store. The experience was a nightmare and was a lot of undo stress. Never again! read more

Valspar Signature paint is sold through Lowe's Home Improvement stores. Lowe's is not telling customers that the paint chips and sample cans of Valspar Signature paint are not the same formula as the gallon cans that customers purchase. This results in a completely different color than you thought you were buying. I returned 3 gallons of paint to Lowe's and the Lowe's paint consultant told me Valspar is having a probloem with their newest Valspar Signature paint in that the forumula for the regular gallon cans do not match the sample paint chips and the sample paint jars. Shame on Lowe's and shame on Valspar for not giving customers a "Beware of Mismatches on Paint Chips and Sample Cans". I won't be shopping at Lowe's or buying Valspar paint.
