The worse experience in the world. The store is an absolute joke. You wait a half hour minimum to find someone to talk to. Everyone inside does not have a clue what they're doing. You look for something online to see if it's in stock and it couldn't be further from the truth. I will NOt ever go back to this Lowe's or any other one due to how big of a nightmare this one is. Wish I could rate it a zero. Two hour trip minimum to leave empty handed. I approached a guy for help and he literally said, "yes follow me" he managed to walk back to and employee only section and said he'd be right out. I waited ten minutes, went up front and he was standing outside helping somebody else. read more

I usually have great experiences with Lowe's, and the Norwood location in particular. However, the company that this Lowe's uses to deliver and install washers & dryers is truly terrible. The deliverers refused to install the risers that we had purchased to place underneath the machines (each riser costs roughly $200). According to the delivery team, they "weren't aware" that the risers had been ordered and they refused to attach them because they had other deliveries to make and "time is money." I then had to contact Lowe's, who then had to contact the delivery company and direct them to come back out and finish the job. The delivery company finally came back approximately 10 days later (with a different, more competent delivery team, thank goodness). Just an all-around awful experience. read more

The bad news is the gas dryer we ordered in early December was back-ordered, with delivery estimated at 1/4 instead of 12/20. The good news? Lowes delivered a loaner to get me through the Holidays until my dryer arrives. That part, at least, is great service for a big box store. Thank you. read more

I certainly wish I would have read the reviews here before purchasing a new washing machine. I'd suggest driving the extra 1/2 mile to Home Depot. I thought I did ALL my research... brands, features, etc. and had essentially had made a decision on a washing machine. I went into the store to see it in person and place my order. When I approached the appliance section there were two men at the desk - neither greeted me or offered help and they both quickly left the area. I browsed the dept waiting (about 10 minutes) for someone to return and eventually had to press the "need help" button. "Help needed in Appliances" played repeatedly over the speakers but it took 10+ minutes for someone to show up. I informed the employee that I wanted to purchase a washer but wanted to verify the price. He verified the price and attempted to walk away. I had to inform this employee 4 more times that I wanted to purchase the washer before we got started on the order. The order started with providing my phone # ... which apparently I don't know because the employee questioned me repeatedly when the # brought up someone else's name/address. We completed the order, setup delivery, and I was sent to the front to pay. The customer service desk just stared at me until I asked "is this where I pay for an appliance?". We paid and left. Now we're at delivery day! I was told I'd get a call the night before or morning of with my estimated delivery time. It's 10:30am, no call. So here I am again trying to chase down a Lowe's employee. (I finally spoke with someone that told me I was slotted for delivery between 3:30-4:30. At 1pm, I got a call that they were 10-15 minutes away. Look - having to suddenly replace an appliance is frustrating enough. No one needs the added stress of chasing unhelpful employees. read more

Their new pickup option is a joke. Second time I've been here to pick up my order after receiving an email from corporate office stating my order is ready. Store associates still unable to locate my order. I was shifted to another associate with zero communication, I had to track down someone in the appliance dept to figure out what was happening. 8/15/17 At about 1:00 pm, I went in to get a key copied. It is a replacement shell for a transponder key to my Jeep. I had both the original key and the new blank key. The self service machine couldn't recognize it but there's a sign that says they copy car keys, so I wait while the only person working (a gentleman with white hair) was making keys for another customer. The employee apologized to that customer multiple times for the wait and some mistake he had made. He was done with that customer after about 8 minutes, then just looked at me as I walked up. He didn't say anything, so we stared at each other awkwardly until I just asked to have a key copied while I held up my car key with the broken shell and the new one. He looked at me again, and I said, "Can you make me a copy of this?" and he replied "No" with a deadpan look on his face. We then stared at each other again, as I waited for some kind of follow up reason or a recommendation as to where I could get this key copied, but he just stared at me. I asked why not, and he said "We don't make copies of keys we don't sell" that's our policy. Trying not to laugh that his statement didn't make sense, I offered to buy a blank key if that would help, but he said no, and said the classic "I don't make the policy, I just work here". I commended him on knowing policy so well, and said I'll go ask for a manager. I just needed a key copied, this is pretty basic. I waited at the front desk, another employee with dark hair and glasses approached and asked if I needed anything. When I asked for a manager he said "They are all busy right now, but maybe I can help you". Impressive he knew the activities of the managers without hesitation. I showed him my keys and he said, yeah I think we can do that. We walked back over to the machine, he fumbled with it for a minute and asked me what year my vehicle was. I told him 2006, and he said the newest one they had in that model was 2004 and the database must be out of date. It seems this is a robot of some kind that cuts the keys and they either don't have the manual grinder or don't know how to use it, or just want to put more effort in to not helping customers whenever possible. He recommended I try Walmart as "they likely have the most recent database...". Whatever. Great job team! So then I drive about 2 miles to ACE Hardware, hold they keys up, asked if he could make me a copy, and he said... "Of course, just be a second". He used the manual grinder (where you follow the contour of the original key to cut the copy) and handed them back. I said thank you, and asked what the charge was, and he grinned and said don't worry about it, only took a second. Moral of the story: Skip Lowe's, drive a short distance to ACE Hardware in Hyde Park Plaza and get better service, positive and friendly attitudes and more advanced skill levels... and no worries about "database" problems. read more

They did leave the laundry vanity we also bought... square in the middle of the garage. I can't move it by myself. My wife would typically give me a hand... but she has cancer and now will have to walk outside to the car for her appointments. We bought the washer and dryer so I could wash all the oozing clothes from her surgery. No washer and no dryer. Gave away the old ones. Just more BS about the 5th delivery date. Andy G. is exactly right about the delivery service at this Lowe's location, 5385 Ridge Avenue. I ordered a Weber Genesis natural gas grill from this store which was not in stock and had to be delivered. I received a call from the delivery department indicating that the grill had been delivered damaged and they needed to order a part for it which would arrive via UPS in a few days. I asked them to order a new grill rather than repairing one that I had not yet even taken possession of. The manager I spoke to lied to me and told me they would order another grill. In a week they delivered a grill which had damage to the side shelf and a crack in the cover. I went to the store and showed them pictures of the damaged grill they had delivered. I worked with Kathryn, a lovely manager who made sure that a new model of the Weber grill was ordered for me. But then on 6/20 things got really bad. I received a call at approx. 8:45 in the morning indicating that the grill would be delivered in the afternoon between 1:30 and 2:30. I cancelled a work meeting in order to be home for this delivery for which I had not been given any notice. Then, while in another meeting I got a call saying the grill would be delivered in 15 minutes. I had to leave that conference call early when the delivery men arrived. Langley was the driver who arrived with my Weber grill. The grill was not damaged, but he was the rudest and most unprofessional delivery person I have ever dealt with in my entire life, and I am not exaggerating. When I told him that the previous Lowe's delivery crew had removed a door to get the grill onto the deck outside, he told me that he refused to remove the door. I asked him to wait with the grill in the house while I called a manager to ask what to do. He ignored me and took the grill back outside to deliver it around the back. When I asked him to stop, and I was angry at this point that he had not followed my instructions, he told me he did not feel "safe" in my house. He was rude, condescending, impolite, and ill-bred. I have never dealt with such a person in a professional setting, and I hope I never have to again. I will never, ever, purchase an item that has to be delivered to my home from the Lowe's on Ridge Avenue EVER again. And Langley is an extremely unprofessional delivery person who should not have a job, and whom Lowe's should have known better than to hire and employ, if he cannot treat customers with respect and dignity. read more

It is so cliché to say that I love Lowes but I totally do. I was on a mission to buy a washer and dryer that also worked well with my needs and budget. Because I didn't have a huge budget I knew that I had to do my homework. I went to about 6 different stores and worked with sales associates to find out how low I can get the price on the machine. I would totally recommend that everyone does this. The washer and dryer I wanted was priced at mostly everywhere for 500 dollars each. By the time we got to Lowes I found the best price of the machines to be at Best Buy. So I went up to the Lowes sales associate and explained to him that I have done my homework and am searching for the best price on a certain machine. I told him about Best Buy and asked if he could match or beat their price. He immediately got out his handy iphone and scanned the machine. He brought it up on the phone and showed us the price that Lowes buys the machine from the manufacture ($324). He explained that Lowes has to pay to keep the lights on and him to sell the machine. He then said that he would give me this machine that retails at $500 for only $360. I could not believe my luck. I was almost jumping up and down. I was so happy. Not only did Lowes give me an UNBELIEVEABLE price but also delivered it the next day. The guys who delivered the machine were awesome too. I was missing a part and they worked with me and made lemonade out of lemons. They even turned on the machine and made sure it worked. Also one of pipes was dripping (not related to the washer but close by) and they got on their hands and knees and tightened it for me. I insist that everyone goes to Lowes for these kinds of things. This is the closest lowes to my house. I frequently visit this location every time I move to get things for my home and every time, the employees could care less if you need help. I know I always walk in there looking very confused and no one offers assistance. Even when you go to ask someone a question, it seems like they're very bitter to answer. read more

Literally just left this store after shopping for 1/2 an hour looking for items for my trip. No one asked If I needed help. When I went to check out, the only line open was self serve with a large line waiting. When I went to the service desk to seek help, myself, and another customer, stood waiting while the "customer service" employees stood talking to each other. After waiting several minutes to try to get their attention, I put down my items and left to go to Home Depot. I will not be returning. If you are confused about paint products, Margaret at Lowe's Norwood is one of the most knowledgeable individuals I have met. We have been involved with many DIY projects and have used a variety of paint products but still prefer Valspar. It's wonderful that Lowe's carries the product and Margaret is always spot on with mixing and matching our paint colors, whether it is from a paint swatch or a small sample we bring in. I have been coming to this Lowe's location since they opened, and I've always wanted to love this Lowe's but can't-- usually from the inconsistent service. I have had some excellent customer service interactions, but also just as many poor customer service interactions. The store is nicely stocked and clean, and as long as you don't need help, it's great. But the total indifference by too many Lowe's employees too many times have brought me to a new conclusion: I'm going to the Home Depot 1/2 mile away instead. It's not perfect but in recent months, Home Depot has impressed me with their customer service crew while Lowe's has not. read more

I love this store. I actually went in this store for just a few things and came out with just that. There was no pressure to buy stuff I didn't need. RE: Madisonville KY store. Bought a refrigerator and stove. Set up delivery on 11/7, between 8am and noon. Husband received msg the day before confirming delivery. Waited all morning, at 11:50 am we called for status. We were told oh, that time is just an estimate, it depends on the delivery route, traffic, that kind of thing Called again at 2 pm. We were told that those scheduled times don't really mean anything, it's out for delivery, you'll get it today. I'm showing they are at the stop before yours. At 5:00 we called again, asked to speak to a manager. Sounded like the same person, but I'm not sure. Explained situation. She said, oh. I was supposed to call you. We could only find the stove. I don't know about you all, but $2400 is a lot of money to us. We were in no way treated as a valued customer in this situation. We told her at that time to cancel the order and refund our money. I have not really figured out yet why I prefer Lowe's over the other store, but for some reason I tend to go there first. The Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. For hanging pictures they have a great supply of the no damage nails which are the only ones I use, they are great and actually do not damage your walls, they only leave a pin prick size whole in your wall, and they make them to support even large pictures., They also have a great selection of environmental friendly cleaning supplies. I really like their plant selection and supplies in the spring. Although, sometimes I go to their competitor, I tend to go to Lowe's first. read more

All locations in Cincinnati are great! I come here for all of my paint, sandpaper, and screws. They have everything you need for all of your home improvement needs. They also offer great prices and always have coupons readily on the internet. Customer service is a little slow, but thats what comes with big depot stores. read more

It has been a long time since Ive had such a great customer service experience. I had a list of quite a few different items because I just moved to the area and has a lot of things to fix, and someone helped me find the right screws I needed, then walked me to the furniture polish area, then the plungers, then told me the aisles for the rest of what I needed. Finally, I needed a piece of wood cut for one of my shelves, and another person in the lumber area was extremely helpful and nice. Even the checkout was easy, no one in line in front of me, and the cashier was very pleasant. The whole experience was very easy and they had EVERYTHING on my list! read more

First the sales associate tells me they are not allowed to cut wire by the foot if they have it on spools. I could see the THHN I needed on their carousel of wire by the foot. I needed 25 feet, not 500. Secondly the sales associate would not cut PVC conduit in half so I could fit the sections I needed in my car. Went to Ace Hardware and they were happy to help me get the wire I needed and they had no problem cutting the conduit in half for me. Ace Hardware is much more helpful. Next time I will take my business elsewhere, even if I have to spend a little more. read more

Don't have anything installed through here!!! Horrible customer service. I've been trying to get blinds installed for weeks. First contractor is out of country, second contractor is not calling me to set up install times. No one answers the phone when you try to call the store. If by chance they do you will get transferred and a good chance the call will be dropped so you'll have to call back again. Last time I was at the store they had no check out lines open. Self check out only. I think it might just be severely understaffed. Either way don't use their install if you want something done in any timely manner whatsoever. Horrible service!!' read more

But if they have try to remove the door of the fridge it might help. This location is great if you know exactly what you need and can find it yourself, BUT if you need assistance and show them a picture of what you want to do they are clueless. AND I was asked at the front door if I needed help but I knew where I needed to go and said no. Figuring I would get to the department I needed and would get help there. NOT A CHANCE. . .they were useless in the siding and window department. So from now on when I need help I will go use the internet instead of a human being that shows NO customer service.
