We would not recommend purchasing carpeting from Lowe's. Sam, who helped us with the order was very polite and competent. The carpetwas not the one that we had ordered.The carpet was cut shorter than the length ordered so the installer had to piece the carpet to cover the floor. The response of a rather rude woman at the Lowe's store was in effect "too bad, you got some carpet didn't you." We will not be doing business with this store. read more

I went to the Chillicothe, Mo store looking for an item that they do sell, a 5 x 8 utility trailer. I was never able to get a price, and the staff appeared to not be interested in helping me in any way. I contacted four different clerks with the same results. I will drive a bit further from now on, to Home Depot in St. Joseph, as they are always friendly and helpful in all ways. read more
