I came here with a friend who was looking for outdoor lights for his house. He had found some online and said they were showing as available at this Lowe's, so we decided to stop in and take a look. We checked the lighting aisle but couldn't find the ones he had seen online, so we asked an employee for help. A very helpful gentleman came over and explained that it would be really helpful if we had the product number from the online listing so he could look it up in his system. Unfortunately, we didn't have the product number with us, but he still took the time to search his system to see if he could find anything similar. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to locate anything that matched what my friend had seen online, so he ended up not purchasing anything during this visit. I do appreciate how helpful the employees were. I've noticed that sometimes items are listed online but aren't actually stocked in the store and may only be available at a warehouse. In those cases, ordering online may be the better option. I was trying to find someone out in the lawn and garden area to ask a question. I see a group of three workers talking, well should I say complaining using the F word and carrying on and on about how somebody doesn't know what the F they're doing. I finally go up to one of the ladies and ask if they had an item I was looking for,she said, "I don't know." I said well I looked online before I came, and it showed it. She said, "well let me go ask so-and-so, and see if they know." As she's walking to go ask them, she looked up high and she goes well right there is what you're looking for. She goes to get the forklift driver, when she comes back, I said, "I don't see what I'm looking for can you show me where you see it?" She said right there. She pointed to a bunch of bales of straw. I had asked for pine straw not straw. They literally just ignored me. So, I just decided to leave. I would like to say that this location for many years had been my favorite spot for all my outdoor needs. There were three staff members particularly last year that were very helpful and very friendly. They would do whatever they could to help you out. This new crew could care less about the customer and helping someone out. I was literally shocked. read more

How the hell did I change the color of the door? I am done dealing with this person. He lied from the beginning. He told me he would compensate me for my troubles. That never happened. Stopped in the Brownsburg Lowes today to get ideas for bathroom renovations. They have plenty of options at a variety of price points. If you can't find something here you like you not trying. They also do professional installations. We recently ordered new blinds for several rooms and the woman that helped us was very knowledgeable and patient. We had them installed and the installer was quick, friendly and efficient. My Mother recently went in to by a new washer and they were respectful and didn't try to sell her something she didn't need. I would recommend staying away on weekends if possible as they get really busy. Shop online if possible. read more

Over the years my wife and I have shopped here a lot. Now I will never go back. We went to electrical department to get copper wire for a hot tub installation. The individual who measured the wire was a young man working in another department who clearly did not measure correctly. The next day my electrician and I found ourselves to be twenty feet short on four wires. We went back to the store but they were out of this wire. We went to another Lowe's to get the missing 80 feet. When I returned to get a refund I was refused! I was supposed to bring all the wire back to be remeasured, which was an impossibility. The wire was already strung out in pipes along the side of my house! I guess you are supposed to anticipate their mistake ahead of time. $200 of sheer theft, not even an apology or sympathy from these guys. read more

Whatever you do don't order any installs from any Lowe's. We ordered windows from Lowe's. They placed the order with Pella and outsourced the install. Once they had our money they completely wash their hands of you and leave you at the mercy of their suppliers. We ordered first week in Sept and were told late Oct for window delivery. In Oct we were told Dec due to covid. I called in 6 times in Dec and received 6 different delivery dates. All Lowe's would tell me is those are the estimates from Pella and there was nothing they could do. The windows finally were delivered early Jan. I then had to schedule the install with the company they outsourced to. We had to wait 3 weeks for the install and then 30 mins before they are supposed to be there the company called because they had to reschedule. We finally got out windows installed in Feb. When I talked with Lowe's about the bad experience they said they didn't do anything wrong or cause any delays so there is nothing they can do. I reminded them I ordered the windows through lowe's and it was lowe's responsibility to advocate for their customers with their vendors and manage those vendors Lowes representative had no clue what I was talking about and said he could only offer a $50 gift card even though the window order was over $7,000. Will never order anything or any service with them again. read more

I will not be doing business here again. Bought a dishwasher in July it is now October and I still don't have it. After being told multiple times it would be delivered in 10 days. I went in Friday and again today to look at flooring. I am renovating my 100 year old house and intend on replacing the floors. I was told Friday by someone in flooring basically to leave since "no one was in flooring" to help me look. I went back today and was told by another employee that what I want is on aisle 41 and is orange, well there were a few things also orange on aisle 41. Don't buy flooring here. Two years ago, we bought carpet from this store and soon found that it shredded when vacuumed. Rather than offer new carpet or a refund, they have been stalling for a year and a half. Repeated calls and emails were mostly ignored. Many promises to call with an answer were broken. No resolution. In a different room, the new hardwood flooring was improperly installed. The installer took responsibility, but had to rip it all out and replace it. I wish zero stars was an option. read more

This location is about a 10-15 minute drive from the house, but I wouldn't change a thing. The staff (especially in the wood products department) were extremely helpful. I needed to replace some cedar siding that had rotted and Jeff helped me through the process. Having to get the paint matched up to exterior paint that probably hadn't been touched in 20 years was easy thanks to the woman working in the paint center. I wish I could remember her name - she has a great eye and the color match was PERFECT. She wasn't able to do the computer color match due to the age and condition of the paint (I brought in a half rotted piece of siding) so she took me over to the paint swatches to figure out what would be the best. I love coming here - always great service, friendly smiles, and just about everything I could possibly need :D read more

As posted on Facebook: Contrary to what the employees of the Lowes in Brownsburg, IN might tell you about how terrific their customer service is and how dedicated they are to customer satisfaction, today was the day I got to experience their false sense of reality. With almost $200 in purchases in my cart, I walked out of the store after waiting more than 10 minutes to be checked out. Ironically, the next person in line ran into the same situation I did; a missing UPC code on a small piece of plywood. None of the 3 folks who the cashier called on the phone knew the product code off the top of their head (understandably), but none of the other 5 Lowes employees did anything to expedite my sale after I was able to find the item number on my phone. They just looked at me and went about their own business. Prior to my departure I spoke briefly with the store manager about the incident. The manager seemed barely interested in what I had to say and unenthusiastically said he would look into the situation, address the problem and offered me a discount. I had no time to regather my items and check out again as dinner was already on the table and getting cold at home. I never expected a stop at Lowes for 6 small pieces of lumber and power tools would have taken 45 mins. It's a shame that we have no other options close by (such as Home Depot or 84 Lumber or Menards or even another Lowes) for my home improvement needs nearby. I'm not the only person who has recently had customer service issues with this store. I thought they were isolated incidents as I seemed to have decent luck; but I was wrong. This stores false sense of superlative customer service is a serious problem and extends up their chain of command within the store and then on the regional and district level. Never stop improving is your tag line. Obviously the Brownsburg, IN Lowes store needs to take a bit of their own advice as sub-par customer service appears to have infected this store. PS. I hope Lowes fixes the missing UPC code issue as promised and quite soon. I'm thinking of stopping by the store before they close tonight and see if they'll live up to their word. read more

This is the worst Lowe's. I've never had such poor customer service. In both instances where I had to interact with this customer service desk team, they were rude and impatient. They aren't helpful in any capacity. I purchased all the available material in stock and requested to order additional. I prepaid for the transaction and they indicated when I can pick it up (a few days later). When I arrived to pick it up, they indicated there aren't any in stock. I would have to go to another location to pick it up. So why did I preorder, only to waste my time to still have no product. Will never return to this store again. Hooray for Brownsburg! Much quicker service than I usually get at the Terre Haute Lowe's. Not only did I immediately find someone to cut my flooring, but there were TWO people working the issue. I got the flooring paid for and loaded in nearly the same amount of time it often takes to find someone in Terre Haute. read more

We frequent this Lowe's location often. We bought a fixer upper home that needed a lot of work. We've purchased Shaw LVP floors and carpet. Bruce helped us find a great carpet in our desired price range. We had someone install our carpets for us and I know it's subcontracted out, but the installer was great. We had to replace our tub/showers and we found awesome Delta one piece units with the help of the gentleman in the plumbing department. We ordered countertops with Julie and she was spectacular. I love the clearance sections. We seem to find the best deals there. It might be because we come here so often too. There was a span of several weeks we were in Lowe's a minimum of three times a week. Everyone was friendly and some recognize us and ask how our house is coming along. Lowe's in Brownsburg is my favorite store. I love stopping in. read more

Leaving lowes right now and it's the same old issues. Hardly anyone here and there are zero carts for milwork customers inside the store. I'll spend my money elsewhere. I was once a frequent customer of the Brownsburg Lowes but now avoid it. Half of the staff is fine but the other half is only there for a paycheck. The management treats customers like a burden with Bob and Travis being the worst. I've purchased carpet from this store and the installation was very poor. We used Lowes Brownsburg for flooring and installation of laminate in three (3) rooms of our house. The job was quoted for 2 days. It took 4. For one day we could not speak with the only installer in our home because he did not understand English. Lowes was no help, they just referred us to the subcontractor that didn't return our call until the last day. Althought we asked the installer that was in charge to make sure at least one room was completed as soon as possible. He assured us it was "OK". Apparently he did not understand plain English either. I found this out when all the rooms and the hallway were finished during the afternoon of the last day. This was a complication because the same subcontractor was coming in that day to install carpet in a bedroom and walk in closet and we had no place to put the furniture or clothing so they could lay the carpet. Although we paid an extra $350.00 to have the installers move our furniture back into place the installers were leaving when my wife had to remind them. They acted like they never heard of such a thing. I ended up moving the furniture myself after they tried to tip an antique cabinet over onto its back. read more
