We had custom and standard entry and storm doors installed on two occasions throughout the years: great advice and job well done. This year (2019), we ordered three appliances from the website on Black Friday and were promised a delivery of December 15th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We called in the morning to verify when the delivery might take place and received no conclusive answer except for a few helpful tips and answers to technical questions. We called the appliance delivery department again in the evening since no phone call had been made to let us know about a delivery time. We then discovered our items had not even been shipped to the store as of yet. We mobilized the whole day for a delivery that never occurred and had no prospective date for delivery. In addition, we had disconnected appliances beforehand. If we had not called, we would have never known that the delivery would not take place as planned. We had scheduled a pick up to donate one of our appliances which now needs to be cancelled--once again more time lost. I cancelled this order and will never use Lowe's again for appliances. No more lies and/or no more dropping the ball-- whatever you might want to call it. read more

I recently made a purchase at Lowe's and had an extremely disappointing experience with the supervisor, Miss Donna. Normally when I check out at self-checkout, I simply scan or pull up my military discount account to receive my 10% discount. On this visit, I did not have my physical ID with me, so I went to customer service to ask if they could pull up my account using my phone number, which I have done successfully at multiple other Lowe's locations before. As soon as I approached customer service and explained the situation, Miss Donna immediately and very rudely told me that they could not help me and that I was not going to receive my 10% military discount because she could not verify my identity without my ID. When I explained that multiple other Lowe's locations have always been able to pull up my account without an issue, she responded by telling me that "not all Lowe's locations are the same" in a very rude and dismissive manner. Afterward, I went to the cashier, and the cashier was easily able to pull up my phone number and apply my military discount without verifying my ID. Once the transaction was completed, Miss Donna then went over and scolded the cashier for helping me. The entire interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional. I understand policies may vary from location to location, but there is still a respectful way to speak to customers, especially veterans simply trying to use a military discount account already on file. Ohio Lowes shoppers Beware!! Lowe's subcontracts their home home improvement projects to third-party companies that, in my experience, do not adequately respect property boundaries. During a fence installation for my neighbor, the subcontracted fencing company destroyed a garden bed on my property and damaged a handmade ceramic decorative item. This damage will require professional repair in the spring and replacement of the handmade item. Lowe's response was to offer $100, which is insufficient given the extent and cost of the damage. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and resolution. A major red flag should have been when this F-rated company removed several panels from my fence in order to connect the fence they were installing for my neighbor. They were able to compnour out of pocket expenses for the laundromat and they gave us our money back for the new washer and dryer. Though they did not give us the washer or dryer we had ordered they did do a swap with a more expensive unit of the same make and manufacturer. I want to say thank you Lowes for stepping up. Not much help when you ask, as their "experts" appear too lazy or just unwilling. I usually know what I want and find it without any assistance from the workers. Just easier that way. Having something simply cut to size is a struggle, such that I now just buy what things I want and take them to work to have them cut. Should we shop at Lowe's Bedford Hts, Macedonia, on-line, or at another retailer?! What's the value of customers in the store?! My daughter and I went to the Bedford Hts store around 7:30 PM. As we were filling our basket with house plant supplies, looking at Christmas decorations, etc. We went for our main purpose, a leaf blower and other outdoor supplies. We also planned to visit the paint area. As we were comparing leaf blowers we had to play obstacle course with three employees and a fork-lift type vehicle. Not once did an employee asked us how they could help or move out of our way. While we were shopping we were barricaded off from where they were getting stock down, which was also right in front of the leaf blowers. We waited patiently while they debated their chore. Finally, I asked if we were allowed to shop for what we came for. I told them it was obvious they were focus on their work and not the customers. And we did not want to get them in "trouble." Blank stares!! One guy did comment, "Oh, your shopping, of course." Yet, no one got out of our way, or asked to help. As a matter a fact, they continued blocking. I don't blame the employees. I blame management for not training better. 1) The work they were doing should not have been done during business hours when customers were shopping. 2) There were three employees and no one asked to help us. 3) What happened to the customer is first. Well, we left. Left the shopping cart and didn't purchase a thing!!! We did go to Macedonia Lowe's the next day. Every area we went to we were asked if we could be helped. It was earlier in the day. But with three employees present in Bedford Hts one could have offered to help. I've come to the store Novosel hundred times and each time it just gets continuously worse. Are usually buy thousands of dollars worth of materials each time I visit and I'm always met with attitude at the cash register. Additionally, there is no one able to help when you're looking for things. things are always not restocked. Their return policy is not followed at all. They tried to give me store credit back multiple times even though I paid of cash. other times I paid with my debit card and asked for cash back only to be told that they didn't have enough cash in the store which was a complete lie. One other time they told me that they were going to give me all ones which I told them I was fine with, realizing that they're trying to be petty only to be told that they still didn't have enough money even though it was the beginning of the day. I had one of my friends come in and request the same thing and they were given cash in multiple denominations. It's no wonder to me why this place has such low reviews are. Unfortunately, most of those in the Cleveland area are very spread out but honestly it's worth the 15 to 20 minute drive to get to the next location because service is that much better. We ordered a refrigerator through Lowes for delivery and, after many delays, we were set to receive the refrigerator today. We defrosted our old fridge, moved everything out into coolers and waited for the 11am-3pm timeline for drop off. The delivery truck parked outside our neighbors house and put their hazards on but never got out of the truck, never came up close enough to see which address they were at, never even came up to the door at all. After about 15 minutes, they drove off. When we contacted Lowe's, they told us the delivery people reported they had approached the house, knocked on the door, and reported no one was home. We have three dogs, we sure as hell would have known if they knocked on the door and we had been waiting, ready, all day. The failure to deliver is frustrating, but the fact that they lied on the report and now we have to wait for a new delivery date while our food risks going bad is beyond me. Looking online, it seems this happens ALL too often. Lowe's is not worth your money. Go to Snow Bro's. Yes, you will pay more money but at least you'll actually get what you paid for. I have called the main number numerous times to address the failures to follow up, ship, and obtain quotes for my orders. They just let the phone ring without even picking it up. I got a live person on one call, and requested to speak with the store manager. No answer, no voicemail, nothing. I've had good experiences at other Lowe's stores. You should find one of them! If I could assign a negative number of stars, I would. The Bedford Heights Lowe's is consistently horrible. My eighty year old parents purchased a beautiful LG Refrigerator from this Lowe's on 8/25/2020. It was delivered to their home Saturday October 24th. The delivery men were supposed to remove an old fridge and set up the new one. The delivery truck didn't have the tools needed to remove the doors on the fridge in order to get it in our kitchen. Their solution was to place the new refrigerator in the living room and instructed my parents to call the delivery company to have someone else come out. My parents left a voicemail once they left. Nobody from Lowe's has responded to their voicemail. I live in Michigan and called the store several times yesterday. I pressed every extension with the hopes of speaking to a human being. I spent several hours on hold only to be disconnected. This is completely unacceptable, but is apparently something Lowe's knows is a problem they won't correct. Need a new appliance? I suggest you try a smaller retailer. They appreciate their customers and are more likely to be responsive than Lowe's. read more

I bought a new washer/dryer online, and it was apparently assigned to this store. During delivery, the driver called to inform me that one of the units was unboxed and dented. He said the store told him that I bought it that way, which was a blatant lie. After refusing the damaged delivery, I had to call the main line twice over the next 3 days to find out what to do next. Today, the store finally called, and my two options were wait an unspecified amount of time for a new one (which is what I paid for) to come in, or take the scratch and dent floor model for 20% off. I requested an AM delivery because I had some people there to help install. 1st - the delivery didn't come until 1pm, and I called and messaged 5-6 times with no response. 2nd - driver shows up with an unannounced backorder of my counter top and sink. I still haven't received word of the back order and new delivery times. My guess is Lowe's think they sent everything. And they didn't even call me back Saturday until 7pm at night. So they never, ever told me it was a special order until I called to find out when it would be coming and on the second call, offered no solutions or any help at all, nor any apology. I went there to find some paint. It was early Sunday morning. There was no one in the paint section. There was another customer ahead of me who told me that this Lowe's was the WORST ever! The young woman who helped me get paint was lovely, but she was not the "manager" I spoke to on the telephone about my online order. So apparently it is a total crap shoot when it comes to shopping at the Bedford Lowe's. This was my first visit to this store and as a frequent shopper of home improvement stores, my initial comment upon entering was that it was pretty clean. It's your typical warehouse, home improvement store. One thing I didn't care for was that they do not have carts and flat bed carts at each entrance. We had to walk to the other end of the store to get one. We came to purchase a specific item that was rather large which they did have in stock like the website reflected. Because it was a large item we did need help loading it onto our flatbed cart. It wasn't hard to find help but the associate wasn't very friendly or happy to assist. Also - this store does not offer the service of bringing large items to the front of the store for you which is definitely a con if you don't have a heavy lifting buddy with you for these types of purchases. As for getting our item to the car, we did not need help nor ask for it but the drive up area for loading large items, typically used by people with trucks (like us) was blocked off with cones and not accessible which wasn't very convenient. Not a bad store, but I can't say that I'll be running back here anytime soon. Good customer service is important and I feel that other stores I have visited in the area are much more customer oriented. read more

Consider that one-star a negative ten-star rating. When I say this is the worst managed store in the greater Cleveland area, I mean it and that's an understatement. I stepped into it for the last time in June and have never returned and left $279 sitting in a cart. Why? Because after standing in line for forty minutes (with about twenty people behind me) the young man at the cash register simply waltzed away, with NO warning, telling us over his shoulder that his shift was over. Cue mass outrage and disbelief. Never seen anything like it. Zero warning, watched all of us pile up in his lane, and lacked the simple courtesy to warn us! Surreal. I'm not the only one who left her cart where it was. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. They messed up the delivery of several appliances earlier in the spring and it took dozens and dozens of calls and being put on hold literally for hours to finally get it set right. I would put my phone on speaker and do chores and watch the hands of the clock spin. I finally spoke to the manager of another Lowes who told me and I quote, " That is the worst managed Lowes in the business. We also cannot get help when we call about inventory. You have my sympathy." That day that I left my cart, nearly every flower and plant in the Garden Center was either dead or so compromised it would die before being put in the ground. As a passionate gardener, I nearly wept at the sight, as did two other women shopping near me. One said, "I just don't get it. Who doesn't know that you have to WATER plants?!!" Each pot was so dry the soil had solidified into a small, hard ball and all of the leaves were drooping and dead. This is a shockingly poorly managed store. As I said, I left nearly $300 in the cart; multiple that by the twenty people behind me. When is Lowes going to wake up and rein this runaway train wreck in? Lowe's store on Miles Road is substandard. We ordered custom made windows on Apr 16 and was told they would be in June 6. Went to the store June 8 to check to see why windows weren't in. Windows were delivered to the store on May 24 . We never received a call that they were in. They were sitting in the store for two weeks. How long would they have been sitting in the store without them contacting us. We received no help loading nine windows in the truck except for another customer going into the store who stopped to help loading the windows. In the meantime, employees were walking outside and never made any attempt to help. We are in our mid 70's. Employees ar that store are lazy and not helpful. read more

The Appliance department does a terrible job. I ordered a stove and refrigerator was told my appliances would be delivered together on a certain date I waited for delivery called day of and was informed that they had one but not the other. I ended up ordering a Different set for same price. I tried Lowe's once again purchasing a washer and dryer once again was told appliances was in the store and would delivered on June 1st. I called delivery on the first one of the appliances was not on hand and would not be in until Thursday and would be delivered on Friday. I called delivery no answer and no call. Continuation of previous review Lowes review. Here we are Aug 31st. Two different orders for the same custom Levolor blind, either damaged parts and or wrong size, I still have no blind. I placed a third replacement order thinking the 3rd times a charm..I think not!!!. On 7/2/18 Melia reordered my blind.. as of today 5weeks later I called the store to find out where it is. The very rude manager Jason from Lumber took my call, after 20 mins of being on hold, he said, someome possible Melia would look into it and call me back. Its been almost an hour since I called, still no return callback to me yet.. CUSTOMER SERVICE doesn't exist at LOWES. Manager just can't do their jobs.. Bedford Heights Lowe's: I called for an estimate to install a kitchen backsplash and it took a number of calls but finally got through. Booked the estimate, the person came out . Everything was fine then the issues started. I called them no less than 20 times to get a copy of the estimate and to get timing for the install and to try to book the install but could not reach anyone. Left my name numerous times but no call back. I finally called the corporate headquarters and they were helpful. They called me back after trying to reach someone with no success, but did give me another number to call and said the store said they would call me. Store didn't call so my wife dropped by and got a copy of the estimate and the name of the person to speak with(person was not there but a manager gave her the name. Manager could not book the install or provide any info). Called again and I was told to call between 2:30pm and 11PM. Called 7 more times that evening as directed and no answer. Reached the operator a few times and she said they were at lunch, must be busy, took my name one time and again no call back. Only an $1,800 job but you'd think they would at least call me back or answer their phone. I'M DONE with this store so Just called the Lowe's in Streetsboro and they answered right away and the person was very friendly, but said I need to start the quote process from the beginning. Said the free quote period is over so need to come by the store to book a measurement and pay the measurements fee (can only take Lowe's credit cards over the phone and cannot use the other Lowe's quote to book (unfortunately this will take 2 more hours of my time and pushes the project back a month). read more
