I had occasion to go in here to look for a particular product that I remembered buying in the past…read moreand wanted to see if they had it and what the price was these days. I'm the type that likes to walk around the store and look at everything before I start asking questions so they were nice enough to ask me a couple times if I needed any help but never with any pressure so that I was able to relax and walk around. Sometimes I find things that I never would have seen if I had had a clerk lead me to directly to the item I started out looking for. Like today, I happened to see the white china pencils and remembered that I had wanted to buy one of those. They're only a dollar fifty but I just never happened on to one before and it wasn't a big enough deal to go looking for it. On the way out one of the clerks showed me a black marking pen that was better than a Sharpie for about the same price and he said it writes on anything even if it's wet or oily. That sounded great so I bought one. Maybe I'll even try it for my rock painting that I've just gotten into recently for filling in details. I don't know the price of a lot of things but on the things that I do know the price of I felt like their prices were a little higher than I might pay at other stores but that's usually to be expected from a smaller business versus the box stores. You also can't find a clerk to help you in a big box store like you can in this store. When I finally was ready to get help the young man took me straight to the section where the product would be. I wasn't quite ready to buy yet but I appreciated knowing that they had it and where to find it. I have shopped at Ace Hardware stores in other towns and found good service there too. This one ranks right up with the best of them. And they didn't make me feel like I was a waste of their time just because I was only buying a little bit. You never know when that person that only spends $3 might come back and spend $100 at another time when they need something and remember the good service.

I accdently dropped the drywall toggle bolt through the hole testing to see if the hole was big enough. Boo me. It was either getting a new molly or buying a really really big magnet. A manager saw me and found one for me to use, even talked to my daughter getting her to smile as she helped me find the rest of what i needed. These guys are great. I have been in A LOT lately with all the spring projects going on, and my wife trying to get me to start a business that requires a lot of tools, and these folks are always helpful and going above and beyond. My Dad and I even got my brother convinced on their tools when he wouldn't buy anything but the biggest name brands. That's fine, and they may last a little while longer, but why when they are 3-4 times the price? Now, i haven't had a Harbor Freight tool go down on me but once, and they stood behind it and replaced it no questions and no charge! (Torque wrench). They had their Tent Sale a few weeks ago, and open box items were HEAVILY discounted, and only had a 5 day return policy, i haven't needed it. Those tools were just as good as brand new. I've actually built a shoe rack in my master closet and i am over halfway done with an 8' farmhouse dining room table and no issues. They have seen fairly heavy use over that time and I've had no issues whatsoever. But, if i ever do, i could buy 3 or 4 at the cost of the bigger guys! I can't say enough good things about this store, or Harbor Freight tools. They just are the best.

Darn it! And the price was good too. This means I have to go elsewhere since I need this product tonight. A quick browse as I exit from the Garden Center. They had a nice variety of plants, houseplants and the garden variety. Also a well displayed assortment of fences that I've not seen at any other Home Depot caught my eye. Had to take a pic so I could have something for reference when I consider ordering from one of my stores in AZ.
