We had ordered two appliances and told they would be delivered. Twice the delivery didn't arrive after being assured it would by the delivery supervisor at the North Abilene location. I spoke with Matt and his supervisor without resolution. No one communicates with anyone at this location and no one takes accountability. The whole chain sux self check out are the dumbest things ever and the this store is a complete joke. You do not support veterans or and one with PSTD. It is hard enough go into a store know it will be loud. Plus the music is always to the point you have to yell to talk to anyone. Today top the cake we have a very small closed in entrance so we are going to have Santa yelling every 3 to 5 mins. Pacing back-and-forth where there's only about 4 feet to get through while having somebody in that same area handing out donuts and stopping customers. Absolutely furious. They pre-approved my bank account for almost $17,000.00 when the purchase was only $4,500.00 causing those finds to be unavailable. Had a huge run around fixing it and no good answer why it happened in the first place. Spent almost 6 hours in two days in the store trying to fix it. Service from there "operations officer" was beyond dismal. She was rude and tactless. I don't know why I continue to shop here. There are many other options but this is terrible. Bought flooring, wall cabinet, blinds. Was in store for 2 hours and had very little help. I tracked down someone to take box of of shelf to put in my basket. The man in flooring was so busy it was at least 30 min before he could lift the box of flooring onto my cart. I have a bad right thumb and hand so I'm not at all able to lift with it. It's gardening time in Texas and they have 1 cashier in the garden center Stood in line for 20 minutes, trying to check out and of course price rings up wrong. Poor girl calls for a mss as Magee and we wait another 5 minutes or so. Manager never shows so we just left it. They need to be more aware of their depts and have enough staff! read more

The sales person doing the sale was too busy with idle chit chat instead of focusing on the paper work. They delivered 2 dishwashers and no stove??? Who wouldn't question that!? Today I'm very disappointed in how a sales specialist at Lowes convinced my elderly 72 year old mother (who happens to be on a fixed income) to buy a water heater and installation of the product with no regard to actual need or what actual product was needed specifically for the house or factoring of costs. All he told her was we can get it installed today and it doesn't matter if it's the wrong water heater we have what you will need, all of which were lies. Lowes in fact was unable to get it installed nor do they have the type of water heater we need for this particular project. I then had to call back the said sale specialist to find this out because the contractor never contacted us with a follow up, the sales specialist blew it off and sent me to customer service and when she tried to do a return over the phone she was unable to pull up all the items we were charged for. I eventually had to goto Lowes in person during my lunch break from work and ask for a return of the funds to my moms card. Overall the customer service and sales experience was completely horrible. What kind of sales specialist do you have or is Lowes so hard up to make money that you try to get over or hustle the unsuspecting elderly. Does Lowes just tell people what they want to hear so they'll buy something and leave without regard to customer service, knowledge, or actually helping people? This is very disappointing and something i would've expected at Walmart or McDonald's horrible service and incompetent employees. Don't let your elderly family members shop at lowes alone otherwise they might end up being told to buy a product or service they might not need or get. read more

Slipping quality of service. I used to depend on these guys, but it's really going downhill. I'm out of town in a bind BC a couple of our old appliances aren't working. So naturally, I figure I could call in to order a delivery & install as I have a dozen times in years past when I've been deployed out of country. But I got transferred 7 times. When I mentioned all the times I've been put on hold, one nice guy said he'd transfer me to the manager. I didn't know if a manager would know how to handle the matter, but I was indeed grateful when he picked up the phone. So I thanked him & said I appreciate his attention since I've been transferred a bunch. I told him what I needed, then he said he was going to transfer me to appliances. I thought he was joking, so I smiled, but then he just hung up on me. I don't much see the sense in having a phone number listed if it's found to be like this. And getting my call picked up from all around the store & just tossed right back into the pool for someone else to transfer is quite wasteful. Esp when it just ends in being hung up on. I guess I'll give Home Depot a call for these appliances & installations. read more

We purchased a large dog run. These people are AWESOME, and went above and beyond to make sure we were FULLY taken care of, and it was a BIG job uncrating, and loading this behemoth! Cindy & Mike had to pull a crate of three of them out to the isle, pull one of them out the side of a steel crate, get it on a cart, haul it out to the truck, and they then loaded it up for us! THANK YOU!!!! Our cashier was Cortina, super, super friendly, and the girl really knows her shit! Best experience of my entire YEAR thus far. 100% EXCELLENCE in practice! read more

Abilene south side Lowes refused to refund or give instore credit for $100.00 dollars worth of Christmas lights we could not use. I honestly did not know that you can not return seasonal items within a certain time frame. The manager was ver smug and rude in my opinion. My husband and I go "window-shopping " here quite a bit. This Saturday evening we went for a purpose, and that was to buy a washer/dryer set. Lowe's employees must have smelled "Need" on us, as this is the first time we have had 4-5 people asking if we needed help with anything within 5 minutes! Impressive! Chris finally helped us with our questions and sold us a Samsung Steam Washer and Dryer within half an hour. As he was entering the information into the computer, he even offered NEXT DAY delivery. A Sunday?! What ? But yes. Lowe's delivers in Sunday now! Wow! So my husband agreed and asked where he was taking us for supper. LOL I think it shocked him because he seemed to stumble over his words. Haha. At the cash registers, Chris came up there to help out, and asked what we decided to do for supper. I told my husband I thought he was hungry. So he told him come on. But when we mentioned going to "the trough", he looked puzzled. (Our name for Golden Corral.). He wasn't impressed though. He did decline supper. Sorry Chris! You missed some pretty good food. All in all, our Lowe's experience was great this visit. We'll be back when it's time for a new refrigerator! I had a terrible experience in the paint department today. Waited over 20 minutes to get a question answered about product availability. Was then pointed to an aisle. Had questions so I waited again for another 15 minutes until it was my turn again. This time the girl walked me to a product and left me there saying "I will let you think about that while I help other customers." She spent a total of about 2 minutes with me. Ummm...I thought I WAS a customer?!?! Waiting for help twice only to be passed over...twice....is terrible customer service. I do like their return policies (see earlier review) but I would have to actually be able to buy something before I might benefit from that! Need to staff up and instruct employees to focus on customers to ensure their needs are met. Customer Service 101! read more

Bought a riding lawn mower with an extended warranty. Haven't been able to use mower in over two months due to going back and forth with Lowe's and the warranty company. The warranty is to have Someone come to the house or pick up for repair. Now they want us to take it somewhere and pay for it and they will reimburse us NOT. That is not what we paid for. They always say someone will call you back but no one ever does we have to call them back not good business practice. I know I better get a mower fixed or a new one soon. I typically go to Home Depot because it's closer to where I live. One day I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by Lowe's. When I go to Home Depot, there are associates everywhere who are willing to help. At Lowe's, I was only able to ask one person about what I needed because the others wouldn't stop even when I called after them. The one woman who actually did acknowledge me was clearly annoyed that I'd bothered her. When I finally found what I was looking for, there was not one of them on the shelf that wasn't completely scratched up and ruined. Wasted trip. Not to mention that when I was leaving, all of the employees who were too busy to stop and talk to me, were all standing at the front of the store laughing and talking and having a great time. read more

This is the 4th attempt to pick up paint today and each time something has been wrong. Ashley at the paint counter has just acted as if my request for a white flat pant is unreal. Keeps coming out with orange. When I ask her to just match the original she says its not possible but sure did not go out of her way to give me any suggestion on what to do to finish my house since she can't seem to match my color anymore that I got 1 week ago that also took 2 hours because they forgot! Same girl. Someone should really address her attitude and eye rolling. Could not made it more clear how she felt about her job and clearly needs to get out of customer service. Asked for a manager and was told it was not possible for my reason. I did NOT realize she was allowed to filter who can and cannot speak to a manager about her poor attitude. read more
