Well , I have had lack of service before at this place but today was terrible. My adult son and I came in to purchase a tub. We walked around for a while with no one offering to help. We found 5 tubs sitting in the opening with sale signs. Saw two lowes employees heading with a type of forklift down the isle near us. Ask for @ measuring tape the one guy says they are all 17 in deep. My son says well 2 of them say 20 in deep. The other employee handed a measuring tape to us and walked away. so both people gone. I walked over to the isle they were in to get some help. Stating we want to purchase one . But had questions... the one guy gestured the other guy is coming around. I watch and he stops to help a couple that were in the isle. ‍ Ok so we have been standing here 20 min easy. The guy never came... They saw us there. They just choose to ignore us. I stopped a girl employee asking for help. she said what do you want Help with? Just like that she was annoyed I stopped her. She holds her little gun up to the sign and says ' nope there are none.' I asked why are they displaying it then ? And when will you get more. She said ' it doesn't tell her that'... My son was there a week before looking at the screen doors and again no one around to ask questions. He ended up making 2 trips purchasing the door. Also we were looking at tile that week as doing Reno's and the tile guy was helpful but such a lack of product. Not a good variety Well I will not buy a Tub there, as a matter of fact I won't go back actually. read more

Lowe's must be desperate for a buck!! Definitely does not believe in having quality product or service I mistakenly ordered a flooring product online that said it was available and on sell. Even paid for it. When I called the store they said they did not actually have any and it was a product that was recalled. I called the online number and was put on hold for about an hour then when I spoke to a representative they put me on hold and then hung up!! Even though I have just spent 3 hours on this and this was the only day I had people available and I took time off work, I was decent on the phone and was told by the representative he was going to talk with someone to find out when my order would be in and then hung up!! So after all of this I called the store again as I after another hour trying to get through gave up and called the store again. I was told there was no product and I would be refunded. When I explained I bought the product to be used today and was not really out of time. The manager only wanted to sell me a more expensive product and really did not care. I let he know I would be writing a review and left the call. The manager called back just before I sent the review and with a very concerning call I was provided with a product that was going to end up the same price as the one I originally purchased . He was gracious enough to provide a 7 dollar discount on a bar for my now 5 half hours of waisted time for me and the person who was going to help me!! he was pretty condescending about it too!! I just wanted to get the floor in for my son so he had a place to sleep! I picked up the product and the staff who helped me put it in my car were really nice. After three hours of trying to put in the floor and a neighbour who use to professionally install tried too. The product was not installable. Regretfully this product was not the one I had researched as was noted as not being easy to install. I was also told the product had been recalled. I was given a refund with a lot of effort and almost lost money !! The manger I did deal with was really nice and trying. A full day for me and the people trying to help me get the floor in lost. Why would Lowes care they kept saying how busy they were!! I have had to wait weeks now to get someone to help with my son not having a room he can use!! My son coined it well Lowe's is "has no credibility or customer service". Shame on you LOWES. I keep hearing how many false advertisements Lowe's makes I am not the first one!! read more

Came here looking for a specific fridge water filter replacement... and Found it! This place is like the Home depot. I'm happy to see they designed part of the place with halloween, and moving down further it's already Christmas. Haha... makes me laugh. Anyways, back to the point, it's fairly well organized. You can almost get lost or distracted from random house supplies to equipment. For example a fridge that has an app control with screen monitoring what's in your fridge and also watch your netflix on. Like i'm amazed, the future is here. But the price is damaging to the wallet, I guess i'll have to wait for my wallet to explode before i ever think of getting one of those fridges. So yup, it's a great place to browse home appliances to equipment or even decorations, etc. They have self checkout, which is perfect if people know how to use it. Staff is friendly here. Recommended for self-home decorators or for the handy man tools/supplies. read more

Okay, here's the deal... There are some things here that you can't get anywhere else. There are also some brands that you can get for a better price, like Broil King barbecues. However, the service is atrocious, especially for the number of staff they have wandering around. My parents went to get a new grill today and browsed the store for over an hour without being approached once. Then, on our return to actually make the purchase, it took us forever to flag someone down. The first grill they went to load in the back of my dad's truck was in a destroyed box. Now, my dad is not the type to comment on things like this, so I said, loudly enough to be heard by all, "Make sure you check for damage in that huge hole." The staff did it, albeit grudgingly, and found the actual barbecue to be dented and scratched from a poor offloading from the shelf to the lift. And yes, had I not said anything, they would have been more than happy to let it go home with my parents in that condition. They told my dad they could get him another one, but said it would be another 15-20 minutes. It was as if they were hoping he would just take the busted one. No. There are also no changing tables in the regular washrooms, so when I went to check the handicapped one, I found it occupied. This would not have been an issue, at all, had it been in use by a disabled person. It was being used by a regular member of staff on her break, who came out texting.it sucks that they don't have a staff bathroom, but this is hugely disrespectful to customers who need that washroom. I gave two stars instead of one because they did have an undamaged grill for my dad, and no one seemed to mind if I tested out a patio chair while I breast fed my son. But the service? It needs a serious overhaul from someone who knows what they're doing. read more

Lowe's is a great alternative to Home Depot! The prices here are very competitive and they usually stock what they sell! That includes big items like washer and dryers, stoves and any other major appliance. My washing machine broken down and I went out shopping for a new one. I tried the Brick, Sears and every other major store. No one had anything in stock. Most places were about 3-5 weeks to delivery. I went to Lowe's and they had everything in the back and they delivered it first thing the next morning! They only issue was that they sent two washing machines. I didn't notice till they were already gone but they corrected it instantly! read more

I agree with Mike that there are more staff working the departments and the prices are comparable to Home Depot. One difference though is better selection at Lowes and more variety. It's close to home so I like coming here. read more

Even though there is a Home Depot closer to me, I prefer to come here since they seem to carry more things and usually better prices. This is the only place that I can buy my 5" size furnace filter, neither Rona, Home Depot or Canadian Tire do. The store is big and not hard to find what you need. And you will never lack finding help. I had probably 4 different people come up asking if I needed help while browsing (know some may hate this but better than no help). read more

I came into this store with my dad and we were looking at a fridge. He was measuring it and the service guy came over and asked if we needed help which we did not. My dad asked about installation and if they would take the doors off to install and to get it into our house. The service guy said that they would not because it would void the warranty. He said that if we got any fridge with double doors it would void the warranty. He had also said to my dad that he was going to be "scared" of the price. Then my dad proceeded to say that he talked to another business that said they would take the doors off for installation. This service guy went on to say this business was shady which is in no way professional. My family and I will not be coming back to this store after the experience we had. Beneath all the glitz and bright lights is a warehouse full of consumer-oriented products and a staff that hasn't a clue how to install or use them. I walked in in my work coveralls one day and the staff was impressed...like they never see contractors in their store! I prefer to shop Home Depot because I can always find helpful staff who are able to answer my questions. Lowes is fine for a home-owner looking for a light bulb or bolt or something you already know how to use or install. read more

Visited this store this week. Had a very enjoyable time shopping there. There is plenty of staff on the floor to help you out with questions or services. I really appreciated that as I had some questions before purchasing items. The help was good and directed me in the best direction for my purchases. Lots of items available in this store. Very big sections for any home improvement projects. I will definately be back again, as I have more on my wish list to buy. So glad this store is so close to home. read more

This is our review of buying a kitchen from Lowe's Manning crossing Edmonton. We went in the store in January with the flyer to save $$ on an installed kitchen. It is now May 29 and we just got our installation $ reimbursed and are now installing cabinets ourselves. To say this did not go well is an understatement. firstly, we dealt with no less than 7 people during the whole process. one person was fired because of the mistakes she made with us, one was transferred to another store. it is very hard to get the same answer from 2 people. They gave us a $200 credit and apologized that we were a learning lesson and things will be better for others but I am very skeptical. Everything is 3rd party and they do not have control over these parties. For instance, they told us cabinets take 4-6 weeks. At 51/2 weeks I called to see if they would be arriving soon but was told there was a delay and they would not be here for another 4 weeks!! No reason, nobody called us, I had called them before ripping out all the cabinets. Then when the cabinets did arrive they were left on the drive way. The assistant manager said they were to put them in the house, but they left so he showed up with another employee and carried all the cabinets into our house. 2 weeks after the cabinets sat in our house, we still did not have an installation date and none on the horizon so even though we would have liked to have them take it all back, we were very tired of living in a ripped up house so kept the cabinets and got our installation $ back and are now watching youtube videos to learn how to hang our own cabinets. So, so many delays and people making promises that others said were not true. I don't know how they will ever be able to guarantee anything better for anyone else. And there is no one person you can talk to, no one will take responsibility and be the contact person. buy your ant powder, screws and nails but I will never recommend them for any kind of installation. read more

NEVER buy a Samsung appliance. This review is nothing against Lowes except for the fact they showcase Samsung refrigerators front row and centre like they are the best thing since pasteurized milk. Junk! Absolute junk. Like many, I purchased for the look and style and got shafted in the quality department and here's why; During the 1 year manufacture warranty Samsung had to replace the tracks for the party tray as the temperature from the freezer would cause it to freeze up and not open without pulling very hard. Those new tracks did the same thing 2 months later. FFWD to 1 year and 3 months....just 3 months after my warranty had ended; Ice machine creates slush ice or an ice burg in the dispensing unit that requires you to turn the ice off for 2 to 4 days to let it melt before it can be turned on and used again. The compressor seems to have gotten louder. It is reminiscent of one of those old yellow units kicking in while your watching late night tv in a quiet place a room away. The ice maker is ridiculous, it sounds like a tree mulcher and takes an ignorant amount of time to get cubed or crushed ice. The water dispenser is even worse. Samsung says it should take 5 to 6 seconds to fill an 8oz glass/1 cup, This fridge takes 15 seconds. Brutal. The insulation on this fridge also sucks, if it is plus 30 outside, 24 inside, the fridge fails in the temp maintenance department, further more, when the ice make makes ice and it drops into the dispensing bucket you'd swear a set of marbles rolled off the counter. Stupid loud. Save your money and don't buy Samsung appliances, even if you got the extended warranty it is not worth the headache in dealing with the 3.00/hr helpline contracted to Mexico when you need service and help. I have a Samsung chefs collection dishwasher as well; Pump Motor went Heater went Tracks needed replacing I can't measure decibels but it's nowhere near as quiet as they claim. read more

While I really like shopping here for home improvement items I will seriously think twice before ever using their contracting department to have something built. We wanted a simple deck (nothing fancy at all) and went through Lowe's so that we would not have a hassle of dealing directly with a contractor and because we were told it would be a faster process. We started the process at the beginning of May and were told everything would be done mid- to end of June. The contract took 3 attempts to get correct for us to sign (and then there was a amendment that need to be done after the fact) and there was lots of communication issues on all fronts. Rather than talking to the contractor I was getting calls for updates on the project, supply delivery was a nightmare and there were continuous delays. We finally got out deck (in 1st week of September) and are still waiting for a call from someone to see if we are happy with the work and final result. If I had to do it again I would cut out the middle man (Lowe's) and contract directly. It would have taken the same amount of time and been less stressful! read more

Horrible service! The staff in the Appliance department don't have a clue! I walk in to the department and the staff are on their cell phones texting and fooling around. Ask a simple question and they don't know. I talk to a "manager" and he says, lets go talk to the experts (the kids on their cell phones). Buyer beware...don't buy anything from this store. It has the worst customer service. We arrived at Lowes at 1:00 p.m. to look for a dishwasher and received no help from any of the sales people, who were too busy talking to each other. After waiting for a sales person for over 40 minutes, we decided to buy the dishwasher online. Stupidly, I chose Lowes. Do not expect them to pick up your old dishwasher like they promise or even offer free installation. We only bought from Lowes because of their lower price. Please note that other appliance stores would match their prices and offer superior customer service. All these people want is your money and have no interest in their customers... you are better off at Home Depot, Sears or even Trail Appliances. read more

This is an example of a company doing it right! The store is organized, clean, well stocked, staff are friendly, and I love the help buttons in the aisle. Nothing more annoying than trying to hunt down the person working in a department to get help. I've been spoiled and don't want to shop at any other hardware stores now. Terrible customer service, I am 9 months pregnant and was helped at the Lowes in south common and sent to this location to pick an item up. I was treated terribly and argued with by a young man at customer service and the manager refused to come out to speak to me. Currently looking for receipt for a $5,364.01 purchase I made on Apr 27/14 for appliances which were delivered in May. Today is Jun 28/14 and my microwave/hood fan combo quit working several days ago. Lowe's will NOT help me because my purchase is more than a MONTH old. They told me to call the manufacturer, Samsung, the brand recommended by the salesperson. I have a $10 kettle I bought from Wal-Mart 5 years ago that still works!
