I asked for 1lb of Boar's Head Deluxe Roast Beef. It's $17.99 at HT but it was $19.99 at Lowe's! Same product but $2 more expensive. Never going back. read more

I've been a patronizing customer for as long as this Lowes Food store has been in Pinehurst, NC. On today, I went to the store and purchased groceries. After paying for my groceries, I noticed that the bagger had placed all my groceries on the floor and walked to another register and began checking out other customers. I ask the cashier why did the bagger put my food on the floor ,and he stated that he did'nt know. This made me very anger to see my groceries on the floor. I then proceeded to customer service desk and told them what had just happened, The customer service stated that the bagger was "Special Needs", and agreed that it should not have happen. The bagger never apologized for what he had done, I asked for a full refund of the money that I had spent. I left the store and called the Lowes Food complaint hotline. This caused a hardship because I had to wait until the money is put back into my account. I will NEVER shop at the PINEHURST,NC ...Lowes Food ever again!! read more

We ordered Christmas dinner and the sides were awful. The dressing was like one from a Stovetop box. The Mac and cheese had that runny cheese which I am not sure was real cheese. read more

A few wrong turns led us to the parking lot of this grocery store and, gosh, are we glad in retrospect. We loved this grocery store. We've been to many: Harris Teeter's, Giant Foods, Wegman's, City Market, Wegman's--aside from Wegman's, this is our favorite. We made our own six-pack of local beers and tried some of the bakery desserts. I highly recommend the chocolate cake. Check this store out, it has lots of great little finds in every aisle. read more

Good beer & wine selection...nice organic produce w/ kinda high prices...very nice meat selection---sausage & grass fed beef! I don't know what has happened to this store but it seems to go more downhill every time I shop here. Tonight while checking out it the cashier was awful. I had a huge order(over $400) and she gave me an exasperated look when I came up and started in on how tired she was. She complained the entire time, first about her mother, then about how she was starving and how she wasn't supposed to be on the register. She kept picking up her phone to text someone during the time she was scanning my items. Then she squashed my bread and when I said it was ok she said good, at least you aren't one of those ladies that doesn't complain about every little thing. As if all that wasn't bad enough, one of the managers that was helping bag my groceries was smacking on her gum the entire time and just kept allowing this girl to go on and on, even joking with her. Then when I put my card in and wanted $80 back the cashier just looked at me and said , I don't have $80. Then she says, well I can give it to you in ones. The lady baggging said let me ask the front manager and the front manager looks is and says, can't you just give her the $80 in 5's and 1's? I say, no, I want 20's. She says wait a minute then takes her time going into the office to get it, comes back and hands it to me without a word. They never bothered to ask if I needed help out with my massive order! Obviously I will not be shopping here any more! read more

I have gone in to this store 3 times and each time i have been overcharged. The price that rings up on the register does not match the prices listed on the shelves. Today was the latest example so i brought it to the attention of an employee who went to verify my findings. They came back and agreed and were willing to refund the difference. I asked why this continues to happen and they said they cant control the price that rings up. i mentioned that if i did not catch the mistake they would continue to overcharge. She said she was willing to provide a refund if caught but stated there was nothing that could be done otherwise. In other states, when grocers make a mistake they provide the item for free, sort of an incentive to fix the problem Lowes does not care and continues the practice of not matching the register price with the price on the shelves. If you shop here (why when there is a competitor right around the corner) you have the possibility of being so make sure you check your receipt. Grocers make money on people not paying attention. On a separate issue the clerks stocking produce and veggies dont consistently wear masks (covering their face) nor gloves. That means each piece of fruit or vegetable was handled without protection. IF you want to take the risk by shopping here, make sure you wear gloves and wash everything before eating. The corporate policies and enforcement of them are severely lacking and in the favor of the company and not their customers read more

Nice store but on the expensive side. It's clean, cheerful and has a helpful staff but that doesn't always make up for the high prices. I go for the bakery: nice selection, tasty treats, and the bakery is always well-stocked. Use your rewards card or there's no sense coming here. read more
