I visited Lowe's Foods this morning and had a very disappointing experience at the meat department. The manager on duty, Stacy, was extremely rude and dismissive during our interaction. I understand that stores can get busy, but that does not excuse unprofessional behavior toward customers. I was genuinely shaken by how I was treated, which is not something I expect from a store I've previously recommended to others. I live in this community and often share recommendations on where to shop. Until now, I have spoken highly of Lowe's Foods, but this experience has made me reconsider that. Customer service matters, and interactions like this reflect poorly on the business. I would appreciate this being addressed so other customers do not have a similar experience. read more

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Answered my questions at the meat and seafood counters. The store looked absolutely amazing! Clean, shelves neatly arranged. Everyone seemed friendly and greeted me numerous times in various areas of the store. read more

What a great store. The people that work there look happy, unlike the automatons at most other grocery stores. Maybe it's the bar and happy hour in the store, yeah you read that right. Excellent SC small chain market; huge store with a BBQ restaurant and amazing food selections that are above and beyond quality. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. This is my go to store for everything! 4 stars due to higher pricing than other markets. Worth it tho! read more

I have heard so much about their cooked ribs. I bought a full rack for lunch. The first thing I noticed when I opened them at home was the smell. They didn't have a great smell to them. They were NOT fall off the bone. I actually had to fight with them to separate each rib from each other. I thought they tasted like a piece of bologna that had bbq sauce on them and were smoked. I fought to eat a couple and threw the rest on the garbage. I'll never buy them again and don't recommend them to anyone. read more

The Beer Den inside this Lowe's makes this supermarket a destination for locals and tourists and beer connoisseurs. As Lowes has hpt foods and salad bar, you can have a nice meal and craft brew to break up your shopping trip for the week. The brew master is very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. Several of the drafts are limited editions or seasonal brews so there is always something new to try. They have seating or you can get your draft brews to GO! read more

I love Lowes Food. The selection is great, the help is fabulous and the bakery is out of this world. You can try other stores but Lowes treats their customers with dignity and care. I was looking for a Harry Potter cake for my grandson's 13th birthday, had called one store-put me on hold-7 minutes later came back to the phone and asked for me to call back. Then I proceeded to call Lowes. Karsten was phenomenal. He went through the four different patterns of Harry Potter fronts for the cake they had, he helped me pick out the flavor of the cake and topping and he was kind and courteous. Just marvelous! I think most people, like myself don't like to overpay for things, especially gas. Lowes Foods in Murrells Inlet, SC is one of the many stores that provides gas stations at or near their own food stores. Their prices are generally the lowest I have found in the area, give or take a penny. Lowes Food store offers five cents off per gallon of gas for every one hundred dollars you spend in the grocery store. The nickels can add up, but after a short period of time, you'll loose it if you don't use it. There are 6 double pumps at this location and they are always working in my experience. (Not like other cheap priced places that fall into disrepair). These are self serve pumps and there is an attendant located in a booth, in the event you are paying by cash, or having trouble. The pumps are very easy to navigate, just have your store card and credit card in hand and follow the instructions. Today, the gas price was $2.73/gal and if you see my photo, I used ten cents per gallon and got my tank filled for $2.63/gal, photo attached. I never see lines here and this is a very convenient location for me. Other patrons are friendly and it is just an all around pleasant atmosphere. I really like this grocery store but when you walk in the area where the carts are is always so dirty. It seems that since this is the first thing that the customer sees that it should look inviting. I also noticed that the floors had scuff marks throughout the store. I just feel that there should be more attention to detail. read more

This review is based solely on the BEER DEN. We didn't actually do any shopping in the store other than the beer area. We are visiting from Las Vegas and needed to stock the fridge for a couple days. We were pleasantly surprised to come across this. We met the bartender named Tom who helped us pick so great local beers (stuff we can't get in the west coast). Everything was perfect. Whenever we are back in S Carolina we will definitely be stopping by here to see Tom and get more local brews. read more

By far the rudest bakery staff! Went to get a birthday cake and nobody acted like they wanted to help! So then we finally get the rude man to write happy birthday on a cake and he did a very shitty job!! Will not be buying anything else from here not to mention "the bar area" for wine or whatever was filled with mother's and little children running around throwing grapes right out of bags at each other knocking stuff over! Just a awful experience all together will be taking business across the street to Publix from now on!! read more

This review is more for the bakery than the store. The store is just fine, but nothing special...it's a grocery store lol. The bakery does a wonderful job on special order cakes. They have gone above and beyond for all the birthday cakes we have ordered in the last year and half. The cakes have been fresh and the decorations on them have exceeded all expectations! We asked for themed cakes and when we pick them up have been so pleased at what we got! From beach scenes to lottery scratch off tickets, to owls. The girls decorating the cakes never disappoint. read more

I don't like to shop there for my full grocery orders because everything is priced way higher then say Walmart or Krogers .I usually stop there if I just need a few items because it is a few blocks away from my house . They do have a good ,but pricy Deli. The last three times I shopped there I had to go back to the service desk to get refunds for items that were on sale but the sale price didn't ring up or an item that was priced more then the sign in front of it said . Which is a big pain ,so I decided to cross them off my shopping choice and go across the street to the new Publix which is also higher then most grocery stores but does give good service. read more

Great selection, very clean and friendly staff. The produce section is expansive. There are a variety of olives in the deli counter which are amazing. They will serve them for you so it's much cleaner than having them out and everyone handling the serving utensils. Nice flower selection as well., read more

It's hit and miss for friendly cashiers. Today's was a "miss". Asked if we could donate some food items a little past the expiration date. Instead of "no thank you. It's against the store's policy", she gave a stern, ABSOLUTELY NOT!! This is a very nice and well kept store. Great deli, great meats, and friendly workers (for the most part). The only problem I had with the store was the way that an employee named Ronny or Robby (I couldn't get a clear look at his name tag) was talking to the Beer guy that was stocking the shelf. I don't know what the poor guy could've done but there's no way he deserved to be talked down to the way the guy was talking to him and in the middle of the store at that. I'm hoping this isn't an accurate representation of what goes on behind closed doors in Lowes Foods. That left a sour taste in my mouth about an overall pretty nice store. This Lowes has definitely stepped up their game in the alcohol department and I've always been pleased with the meats, but their produce is terrible!!! I just got home with TEN peaches and they were all unusable (rotten). Third strike! Good thing Publix is opening across the road because that's where I'll be going to "fresh" "organic" produce. read more
