This location used to be a Bi-Lo and they transitioned it to a Lowe's Food! I must say, it just still feels like Bi-lo and not a Lowe's Food grocery store just because of the layout. Anyway, I love the freshness of the produce. I've never visited the deli here but I have at the other location. You will definitely pay more here than you would at other stores, but the quality seems to be a lot better than most stores in my opinion, I've noticed some differences from the other location, however, it is a good place to shop. You might enjoy it!

Good selection of foods at a reasonable price. Can't wait to try the salad bar next time.

Everyone here is so welcoming and kind! The bar in the back can be a little slow but I love the variety of beers on tap

Yall. When I tell…read moreyou this is hands down THE BEST fried chicken I've had in probably 7-8 years? I'm from South Mississippi and KNOW me some fried chicken, frfr. This place had me hootin and hollerin this afternoon. The workers made me feel right at home like it was meant to be. I don't know anyone here in Columbia and am just getting to know the area and got recommended. We have a place in my hometown called Hartz Chicken and this rivals it (never thought I'd say it). The entire vibe was giving blue collar worker, families, hard working professionals, my white tail, and all in between. If you haven't gone in here, you're wrong for that. I WILL be back, trust and believe that. Thank you to everyone at Bernie's for being so kind to me and welcoming me not only to South Carolina but to this gem of an eatery.

Went for lunch today with friends. Got there at 11:10 and it wasn't crowded yet. We ordered the…read morethree piece chicken special, a chicken breast with water, a two piece chicken special and another separate chicken breast with a salad. Service quick, Chicken excellent (crispy yet moist), Crinkle fries were good and a great cole slaw (Sweet, similar to KFC but different). Always a great experience if you get there before the crowd. Definitely one of the top three chicken places in the Cola and surrounding areas! Probably #1 or #2 in most peoples polls.

The…read morestar of the show is the original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, which is my usual go to meal. Beyond the original, they offer variations like the Spicy Chicken Sandwich (also highly recommended as my #2) and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich (healthier choice), catering to different preferences. Their sides are equally amazing, with the waffle fries being a must-try, I typically get the meal so it always comes with my sandwiches. They also offer other sides like the Mac & Cheese, fruit cups, and salads, providing a well rounded menu. They also have a mobile order option, and it can be faster than ordering inside or at the drive-thru, especially during peak hours. With the mobile app, you can place your order ahead of time which allows you to avoid waiting in line and have your food ready when you arrive. I typically don't dine in but the few times I've done so, it's not too loud or anything. Just feels like your local fast food restaurant. Staff are always friendly and very helpful though! Just a reminder they are closed Sundays, but open Monday to Saturday and pretty late hours as well! One of my favorite "fast food" chains.

Now to the bad my daughter s food wasn't there so I had to go back 20 minutes away her fries was soggy her nuggets was chewy and poor thing was starving. Only good thing she had was her drink. I had to give her a brownie for dessert because she was still a little hungry but was done with food. I know things happen and I'm understanding but the reason for yelp is to help, educate, and provide information to others to prepare and help others to check to make sure all your food or whatever you order is there. I did a quick check but not good enough. For five of us it was $46 but I wasn't $10 in gas so and a bunch of time going back in forth. Sometimes it's not the money it's the little things. Like I said I don't blame anybody mistakes happen it was my mistake not checking fully. The sad part was my daughter wanted to eat in the car on the way because she was so hungry and I told her let's wait eat together we're not that far. They gave me free fries which was nice not needed but appreciate it but South Carolina chick fil a is not NYC I guess!!

If you are looking for some good old-fashioned soul food, add Kiki's Chicken and Waffles to your…read morelist! We stopped in for lunch and let me tell you... those collard greens are something special. Packed with flavor and the perfect side to make you feel like you're sitting at grandma's table. Now let's talk about the Chicken & Waffles -- hot, fresh, and made with love. The waffle had the most delicious vanilla flavor that reminded me of a funnel cake, with that perfect balance of fluffy inside and crispy edges. Paired with that crispy chicken, it was the kind of comfort food combo that just hits the spot. Come hungry because this is the kind of meal that reminds you why soul food has a way of bringing people together. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the AC was out that day and I can say it was pretty warm inside. But the service was great and our server was so sweet and a true trooper!

I've been to Kiki's Chicken & Waffles on Parkland Road several times for breakfast and lunch,…read moreunfortunately, this most recent visit was disappointing--not only because of the food, but also because of the customer service. When a customer walks into your restaurant, they should be greeted and acknowledged. I stood there for a few minutes before anyone acknowledged me, and the first thing I was asked was whether I had placed an online order. The restaurant was not full at the time, so I found that experience disappointing. A simple "Welcome in, we'll be with you shortly" would have made a big difference. I ordered Kiki's Soul Food Plate with four chicken wings, string beans, sweet potato soufflé, and a muffin, along with a side of collard greens. The chicken wings were fried to a good consistency, but once I bit into them, the chicken was extremely dry--much drier than I expected. The string beans and collard greens were okay, but honestly, neither was anything special. The sweet potato soufflé was another surprise. When I took a bite, I tasted what seemed to be a clove, and I actually had to spit it out. That was definitely not what I expected when ordering sweet potato soufflé I am not a big fan of cloves. The muffin was probably the best part of the meal. It was hot, edible, and had more of a cake-like texture, which I actually enjoyed. I'm not someone who judges a restaurant based on one visit, especially since I've eaten at Kiki's several times before. But this particular visit just didn't live up to my previous experiences. The food and the service both missed the mark this time. I hope this was simply an off day because I would like to see Kiki's do better.

I had the falafel gyro with fries and a pomegranate soda. I will not have that again though I have searched some of my local markets for the pomegranate soda. Everything was dry and lacked flavor. While the falafel were piping hot, there was no flavor at all. There was just a sheer smear of hummus, one piece of iceberg lettuce and one tomato cut in half along with two or three cut falafel. No red onion or tzatziki sauce which is what made this so dry. The fries were hot though dry (not sure how that happens) and they had OLD BAY sprinkled on them when he asked if I wanted salt, not old bay. The service was prompt and quiet, no engagement which is typical for a bodega. The seating was standard and clean. I was just disappointed in the meal I chose.

I figured this must be a nice restaurant with sit down tables and decent lighting. However, after opening the door it basically looked like a fast food, order at the counter restaurant, with about 6 tables or so with around 6-7 small chairs around each table. There was one person waiting outside and inside there was one person sitting at a table eating. There was one person cooking and nobody to take orders. We stood there and watched him cook for about 3-4 minutes without him acknowledging our presence. Finally he finished cooking, wrapped it up and gave it to the guy waiting. He took our orders one by one and while he was taking the third order a guy came out to do the cooking. This was about 11:20AM. Three of us ordered Lamb Gyros with fries. We had one order for a hamburber, a chicken gyro with fries, two combination paninis and one other chicken sandwich. The three lamb gyros came out first. They were very tightly wrapped in a thin paper and then with aluminum foil. The lamb was good but getting the wrapping paper off was a mess. Very messy to eat (but hey, it's a gyro) but the taste was good. The chicken sandwich came out around 35 minutes after ordering. The hamburger was out at about 30 minutes. It didn't look like much and the bun was like something you'd buy off the shelf at Walmart or local grocery store...nothing special, just a normal ordinary hamburger bun. It was rated as a 2.0 by the guy that ordered it. The fries were good, again nothing special but there were quite a bit with the orders. We weren't very impressed with the restaurant as far as friendliness or ambiance. Our average overall rating for it was a 2.87 so we probably won't make this one of our favorites of the 179 restaurants we've eaten at in the Cola area.
