We've completely failed to get xrays the last few visits because the mouthpiece makes him gag and panic. During cleanings, they've started using the rinse-and-vacuum method instead of letting him spit and it splashes on his face and it's loud and uncomfortable. We're going to try switching to a smaller office elsewhere that can hopefully give him more time and a calmer environment.

This was extremely disruptive to an ongoing and costly treatment. I was also informed that the pause would not be lifted unless I returned to his office, which prevented my actual provider from continuing care. Healthcare providers should demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect for patients' treatment plans. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. In addition, a significant portion of my appointment was spent on a lengthy lecture about basic dental hygiene, which felt dismissive and not respectful of my time as an adult patient. As a result, I transferred my care to another provider and have had a much better experience. I will not be returning and do not recommend this office.

Normally I do but trusted our regular dentist's referral for pediatric care. Dr. Bassel Boulos was by far the worst dentist I've ever come in contact with and to think he's working in young kids' mouths daily is frightening. He'll be the reason kids end up having a true phobia of the dentist. My daughter has always done great with cleanings. When she went here for a cavity it was the must rushed thing I had ever seen and they knew it was her first time! There was no easing into the appointment, barely let the numbing gel sit on the gums before jabbing her and then IMMEDIATELY tried to go to work on her tooth while she was still upset and trying to take in the novocaine. I had to ask him to give her a moment to try and calm down. Her treatment didn't happen because she was in such distress due to the rush he was in. Upon getting ready to drive out of their parking lot I saw the doctor rushing along to his car, another sign he wanted to be done for the day. We then proceeded to watch 6 other patients who arrived after us and had appointments later than ours to be taken before my first son was even take in. When I asked about this, they said the hygienist we were assigned to was running late. It had been 30 minutes and 6 patients, so apparently other hygienists were available. Why weren't we given a different hygienist so we could be seen on time, and folks with later appointments would have gotten seen on time as well? "It's because of COVID". That makes no sense since there were obviously other hygienists available. We've been here an hour now and other patients have come and gone. We're only here for a checkup and cleaning. It's a routine thing. In any case, we won't be back after this, especially given the weak excuses I was given about why 6 others who arrived after us were taken in first.

On my second visit I went in for tooth sensitivity, which they solved, but then wanted to upsell an expensive mouth guard, which I politely declined. I'll continue with my regular cleanings for now, and will gauge after each visit if it is worth having to sit through a sales presentation each time I go for a cleaning.
