Very nice staff, but my last experience was horrible. Waited over an over to be called in when my…read moreappt. Was at 11:00, did not get called in till 12:00. Had my wisdom tooth pulled, took 30 minutes longer then the dentist ripped it out fast since my medical ride came. The problem is after I asked for medication they stated the doctor don't give out medication and ti take Tylenol. Due ti mt health i cannot take antiflamammatories, so they said Tylenol. Tylenol did nothing and the swelling did not go down, wven though I iced my cheek 7 times a day. Had to go on an emergency medical call due to the fact I could not open my mouth much at all. Doctor gave me steroids to take to help the swelling go down. Got it 2 days later due ti the storm. Today is Friday a week later snd the swelling is finally gone. Spent 5 days not being able to eat anything, barely even yogurt. When I called yo explain what eas going on tk get help, they stated I should set up with my doctor medication I need if I can't take ibuprofen. No one told me prior thats what you usually take. So if I knew I would never have gotten it pulled or reached out to my doctor to get medicine. Still sore 7 days later though not suoer bad. Also got 2 wisdom tooth iut yeara ago and I got medication to take for the first few days. Very disappointed, they knew my medication list and should make sure they clarify that you take ibuprofen after, since not every one like me can do that. Will never get a tooth pulled here again. Worst week of my life and it has messed up my stomach , due to the fact that I couldn't eat for 5 days....

Very shady billing practices. I went in for a semi-annual preventative check up. Dr. Dental has…read moremy insurance info and confirmed they take my insurance provider (BCBS). Instead of charging my insurance for the visit they (without notifying me or contacting me) sent the bill for the visit to collections. Not impressed. I've gone to the same dentist for more than 20 years but they are VERY popular and…read morenot conveniently located so I thought I'd try something closer to home. The office people are very nice, they scheduled quickly but that's where the pleasantries ended. Hygenist was ok. I was treated like a child, told how to brush my teeth, told by a dentist who barely introduced herself I had all these cavities and that I'd need 3-4 follow-up appointments to have the work performed. When I asked how many I was shown a diagram that I couldn't read and said it's all of those. Not a count, no further detail, nothing. Instead a lecture about dental care. I've have take excellent care of my teeth over the years and have been blessed with very limited issues - 2 cavities ever in my life. I decided to follow up with my original dentist, who painted a dramatically different picture of 1 cavity. I'll stick with him. This place is trying to get every penny they can out of you and out of the insurance company. Nothing has really changed with my teeth, but trust your intuition and get a second opinion if what they say doesn't sit right. Or better yet just stay far far away. I really didn't want a million new holes in my teeth, all which will have an increased chance of needing replacement later in life so someone could make a buck! Reception indicated that it was 8 cavities but provided no paperwork to illustrated anything. They actually performed some repair work on my husband before my appointment. It was subpar, left 2 of his teeth connected with no way to floss and was fixed by our regular dentist. Pioneer didn't ask him how it felt, they told him "looks good to me". The provided no paperwork outlining cost or showing what was done, who knows how they are billing the insurance. He was supposed to go back for additional work, but our regular dentist indicated there is nothing else needed. Wish we had gotten a second opinion on his exam before allowing them to do this work that they did complete. Can't bring myself to ask the dentist if he actually needed the work they performed, because it just makes me sick! We had also taken the children, they barely looked at them and applied some floride and counted their teeth. Our regular dentist does ALOT more - actually cleans their teeth etc. Luckily they are young and already taking good care of their teeth. Silver lining - they didn't say they needed more work so they weren't subjected to that or berated the way my husband and I where. They made a pleasant visit with the kids which is why my husband and I also went. Glad to have put a stop to my family's care at Pioneer!
