The plants are beautiful and I always buy too many. I always find something new I love. Today, I bought several herbs, including a Spicy Orange Thyme. It smelled so good - might be nice in a a stir-fry or an Orange Beef dish. I also bought a Calla Lily. They had half a dozen colors, but the one I couldn't resist was a bright orange-yellow and it reminded of a Torch Lily. The prices on some things are a little higher than I want to pay, but there's no question that they're grown well and look great. The Basil today was huge - a plant that I haven't been able to get to live for the last few years (bought from a different nursery.) The staff are extremely knowledgeable and always friendly and ready to help. Be sure to take a look at the giant plant they have growing in the greenhouse. Gotta go! I've got to plant all this stuff!

The first photo inspiration I showed the lady, she said what I wanted wasn't possible. I questioned her about it because I personally knew how to do it & other florists I'd spoken with had no issues, but she obviously didn't want to hear any of it. Moved on to discuss the bouquet & she stopped me & said "You can request whatever you want but what flowers my vendors send me is out of my control. I can't guarantee you'll get anything you want." Basically trying to say I can pay her to do my wedding flowers but it'll be a mystery & what I get is what I get so be happy. I was SHOCKED considering all the flowers I was asking for would be in-season at that time of year... At that point I ended the meeting, saying I appreciate her time but this obviously isn't going to be a good fit. As I'm walking out she tells me it doesn't matter which florist I end up choosing because she knows them all & who their vendors are & everyone is going to tell me the same thing she did, "just so you know". I've used many florists over the years for various events & I've NEVER been treated this way. If she didn't want to do the event, for whatever reason, she should have been honest & said so & not wasted my time. I ended up going with a florist out of Hickory who is more than excited to hear my ideas & help make my dream wedding a reality.
