I have been a regular customer of this hospital due to multiple issues over the years. I liked to…read moreuse the same hospital because they have my medical records. On my last visit, I dealt with a cold, awkward ER physician who leaned on the wall cornered with the door while I lay in bed facing the opposite direction of the room, I twisted my neck to talk to him, no, I don't have a very contagious disease. I was told to visit other hospital as I couldn't get any care on this one. I had excruciating pain in my mouth due to a cracked tooth. I was left there for an hour without care. I asked the nurse what was happening next and was told to go back in the room because they were busy. It did not appear busy with a lot of activity when I arrived, so I decided to leave to find ice at 7-11 to apply to my face. They attempted to charge me, my private insurance and the VA for "staying in the room". I will not continue to visit this hospital in the future, I don't recommend anyone to do so. Avoid an awful experience when dealing with an emergency, no need to be dismissed and mistreated; they totally lack empathy. It wouldn't surprise me they roll their eyes up when a patient arrived. I spoke to a representative to express my dissatisfaction, but I am yet to receive an apology for the way I was not treated.

As I write this review, their website provides this information: "TotalCare Emergency Room is an out-of-network provider for all health benefit plans; however, state and federal laws require insurance companies to process a patient's ER visit at the in-network level and guarantee coverage in a true emergency." From the beginning, the doctor dismissed my concerns without properly examining my daughter. She was rough with her during the visit and initially insisted nothing was wrong. I clearly explained what was going on, and it wasn't until after she finally decided to check my daughter's leg that she acknowledged there was a knot there. Her recommendation? Epsom salt. Then she asked if I even knew what that was -- incredibly condescending and unprofessional. This kind of care is unacceptable, and I no longer feel comfortable bringing my child here unless it's with Dr. Smith. Because of this experience, we won't be returning.

From start to finish, I was treated with the utmost professionalism. The medical care was also phenomenal! I had an eye exam with the intent of hopefully getting an ophthalmology referral. The optometrist was extremely thorough, and his assistant was top-notch. In the end I was recommended cataract surgery on both eyes, with a lens replacement for the right eye. Surgery is never the best news but the optimal one given my options. JPS continues to impress me while under their care. Centered in Care...Powered by Pride.

They're excellent with people, very well spoken, and friendly. I felt as though my family memeber's concerns were being properly addressed, and they were extremely thorough and informative when answering any questions or responding to concerns. A special shout-out to the gentleman who was formerly an EMT (a bald, bearded man wearing blue Hoka's) who helped us with discharge! He was really funny and talkative. It made me feel reassured in leaving.
