They did not patronize me, and took me in at the last minute! My Sister had referred them to me and was effusive regarding their kindness. I found this to be true. Some have reviewed them negatively due to wait time. Let me address that by saying that if you prefer your diagnosis and care to be rushed, there are other health care providers who will gladly do so and charge your insurance full pop without a second thought. Not here. If you have to wait, be grateful that you are being seen by a professional with integrity. These folks care about people! Obviously, it is sick people that go to a doctor which can sometimes make for an uncomfortable waiting experience. Here, they had an air filter deal right in the waiting area, which I considered a thoughtful touch. Also, the chairs that were provided were very comfortable. Dr Fong and his wife (she is also a nurse) seemed to give the same amount of attention to all of their clients and even found time to be nice to my kids. I cannot say enough regarding my visit and I intend to go back if and when I may need to. Not only because I recognize the quality of service and care, but also to support a local outfit ran by good people. 5+ stars!

Unfortunately, I had to leave Dr. Fong's office due to my interactions with their secretary,…read moreSusanna. I did not feel like I was treated with kindness, empathy or compassion from Susanna, and it made every administrative task to get an appointment stressful. Example: I called in to cancel an appointment three business days in advance due to being potentially scheduled for jury duty that week. I was asked to hold the phone call, then hung up on. Then when I dialed back, I was berated, and accused of doing this consistently. Three business days is very reasonable given my civil duty, which I may be criminally liable for if I do not show up for jury duty. I asked Susanna if there was a written policy that forbids clients from canceling three business days in advance. She said no. (Lots of question marks on why I was treated that way. Oh well, moving on.) I hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call for the doctor's office to address the shortcomings in their administrative staff and improve the overall patient experience. I doubt there will be positive changes within the customer care, given comments say Susanna is his wife. Until then, I'll be seeking medical care elsewhere.

I've…read moreprobably been seeing him for 15 years or longer (I'm no spring chicken, by any means), and he embodies everything one could possibly want in a doctor: caring, knowledgable, inquisitive, attentive, patient...think of whatever positive attribute a physician can have. Dr. Yoss has seen me for physicals, potential heart/blood pressure issues, minor illnesses, physical ailments, etc., and he always takes the time to ask the right questions and to listen. Like others here have said, I've received phone calls on a number of occasions from Dr. Yoss to read me off the lab results of blood tests and other results from my physicals, and he even goes through the entire list of key results on my voicemail when I don't answer. Of course, he says to call back with any questions or concerns. The fact that I haven't lived in San Francisco for almost 15 years (I worked there for about 6-7 of those years), yet I'm still happy to drive the 45 minutes each way to his office and still refuse to find another PCP, tells you all you need to know about this fine doctor, and equally fine man! He's just an all-out great guy (salt of the earth, as others have said) who really seems to love what he does and cares about others. We're about the same age, so I just hope he stays in practice as long as I stay in commission!! Oh, and as for the reviews about the staff, etc. -- who cares?!! That's not his fault. My experience with Dr. Werboff wasn't great, it wasn't good, and it was almost okay but even fell…read moreshort of that. It seems like Dr. Werboff is missing compassion and his style of medical practice is a contributing factor to why the US Healthcare system sucks. Dr. Werboff was referred by my PCP, so I went over for an appointment. Dr. Werboff wasn't the friendliest from the start. He gave off a weird vibe, the kind of vibe a grandparent gives when they see their grandkid pulling up in the driveway that they don't really like. Dr. Werboff is like Mr. Wilson in Dennis the Menace. Every time Mr. Wilson sees Dennis his day is ruined. You can tell that he doesn't want to be there. Maybe he should retire. Dr. Werboff explained my problem to me but not in detail and what got me the most was that he was quick to mention surgery. Before my appointment I had done my own research and there are other options that could be used before surgery, but Dr. Werboff keeps bringing up surgery. I know why, it's because he'll get paid more! What a surprise... Like I said before, maybe he should retire. Maybe his plan is to retire and he's trying to squeeze in as many surgeries as possible so he can cash out before the curtains drop. Before the conclusion of each appointment I tried to ask questions but he would just walk out of the room, and I'd sit there wondering what to do. Do I wait, do I leave, do I sit there looking at the male reproductive system poster on the wall until someone gets me? Dr. Werboff doesn't say "okay goodbye" or anything. He just walks out of the room like he's going to come back but he doesn't. Strange... Oh and I can't forget the bill that I have to pay each visit. Since his appointments with you are so damn short he should just call the patients back that he refers out for xrays to inform them on the results that way we don't have to go back to the office, pay a co-pay and office visit bill just to be told to come back for a follow up in a few weeks. Anyway, I'm now seeking another urologist because Dr. Werboff is urwronglogist. Good luck to anyone that visits. Be prepared for your typical USA health care where you're rushed, left with unanswered questions, and rushed to do medical procedures. The only thing Dr. Werboff is missing is being prescription happy and he'd be the poster boy for what's wrong with American medicine.
