Fish tacos = amazing. Want to come back everyday and eat them. Service also fast, and great.

Wow, it's great to go to a fantastic restaurant and get wonderful food, but when your service is top notch it goes beyond 5 stars !! Abby was our server, and what a gem!!! She made our experience even BETTER!!!

I won't lie, I was not expecting this kind of restaurant in the area. Solid offerings, and very tasty. I got the chicken fried steak, which I have been craving for our entire time in Arkansas and it was excellent, and my husband had a burger and fries which were the best we've had in months. Honestly, though, the standout was the service. Dawn was our waitress and I don't think I've come across as friendly, helpful, and funny a server in quite a long time. Thank you, Dawn for making our experience incredibly positive!

Great little hole in wall place to eat near Jasper. This is a small little place with a few tables and a big reputation. My first time there I was left wanting more.... I mean the service was great, the ambiance was great, but the food was a little lack luster. I ordered the 10oz ribeye with the Cesar salad. The salad..... the salad was brought out very quickly. Once I saw it I was like why in the heck is there an up charge of $2.50 to get this option over the regular salad. The salad wasn't bad, but I was expecting maybe a homemade dressing with a little more taste. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. The downside was that it was a tough piece of meat. Lot of chewing involved. Was hoping for a better quality meat. Veggies were cooked perfectly, the few bites of potatoes were pretty good not great. Cheese biscuits were light and flavorful. Will go back and try another option next time.

This place is a hidden gem! Great food with options for vegetarians and carnivores. Nice people working there too.

Ask the Community - Low Gap Cafe

    Do they serve wine?

No, there are no alcoholic beverages at all, as Newton County is a Dry County, so no Restaurants, nor Stores serve it, in any form.

We stopped in for a quick break and grabbed coffee, hot chocolate, and a pastry. Everything hit the spot and was exactly what you want on a travel stop. One thing I really appreciated is that they have a separate line/cashier for food, which keeps things moving and makes the whole experience feel efficient, even when it's busy. The place itself was clean, the staff was super friendly, and service was quick. Overall, just a really solid stop to recharge before getting back on the road.

This is a cute place, unique and does have a sit down restaurant inside. We didn't do that but the menu is very nice, as what they are known for bread bakery items. The chicken fried steak is the best. Not greasy. Huge! The gravy is on point. We tried the cream cheese corn and I'd have to say that I thought the green beans are better. The onion rings are incredible! The mashed potatoes are very good. The service is good. The only issue we had was that we had ordered a side order of onion rings. When a huge basket came out, I asked if this was the side order and the waitress quickly commented that she had put it in as a side order but that they sent a whole order. She said she would adjust it but when she brought the check she said that she took off 10%. Quickly doing the math, the basket we were charged for was $11 while the side order is $5. 10% didn't come close and we barely made a dent in the basket of delicious rings. The live music was nice but they might need to tell the entertainer that it isn't meant to be a show, just background. He doesn't need to be the center of everyone's meal. Local Flavor is a must try! You won't be disappointed.
