As a family,…read morewe had never gone through any of this and were totally at the mercy of winging it with best intention. When they asked us to pick a nursing home we had no point of reference. We chose the one closest and it happened to be Oasis. They provided her with not only proper but caring care. The nurses are sweet, patient and most are bilingual. She fell while there and they called us immediately, every time. Their social worker worked with us even on the weekend to ensure her discharge process was proper with the right at home care after discharge. My mom leven liked their food. Nursing homes are scary. But Oasis, worked well for us and if you are a family with no notion on what to do, this is definitely a safe bet.

    This facility appears to prioritize money over quality care. I had my father there for only a few…read moredays before transferring him out as soon as possible. To begin with, the morning receptionist was rarely at her desk and was consistently rude on the phone--when she answered at all. On multiple occasions, I was either hung up on or placed on hold without any greeting. I also had to wait outside in the cold for over 15 minutes until someone from the kitchen finally opened the door. There is also an afternoon nurse named Lourdes who was disrespectful toward both families and residents. I observed her frequently on her phone at the nurses' station while call lights were going unanswered. Additionally, I witnessed a member of HR speaking to employees in a very condescending and unprofessional manner in the hallway. I was informed that this individual is training for an administrator role, which is concerning given the level of professionalism demonstrated. I also found their appearance and attire to be inappropriate for a healthcare setting. That said, I do want to acknowledge that some of the afternoon staff were excellent. They appeared to work well together and demonstrated a strong sense of teamwork, which I appreciated. I also question the accuracy of the five-star reviews, as my experience was completely inconsistent with them. When concerns are raised, you are directed to customer service, but the issues do not appear to be addressed. I also noticed visible structural issues in the building that raised serious concerns about safety and maintenance. Given the seriousness of these concerns and the lack of meaningful response, I am considering bringing this matter to local news stations to raise awareness and ensure accountability. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care for a loved one.

    I have been to Memorial Medical Center for 4 years since moving to Las Cruces, 3 times to ER. In…read morethe past, I lived in large metropolitan areas with multiple medical facilities. Memorial is old, but in general the facility is well kept and the service is excellent. In December, I had a triple bypass surgery in Memorial. I first spent 5 days on the fourth floor prior my surgery. My surgeon was Dr. Vitaly Piluiko, who recently retired. Him and his team were outstanding. Dr. Piluiko, visited me in my room every day prior my surgery. After surgery, I spent a few days recovering in the intensive care unit. Even the anesthesiologist came to check on me the day after my surgery! Yes, the hospital is a bit tired, but the care I received was outstanding. My only observation is that the food service company lacks of employees who understand what vegan meals are and they need to have a proper selection of options for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians. The service is at the same level of what I experienced in large hospitals in San Antonio and Dallas Texas.

As a mother we always worry and have so many questions, the staff answered them and even though was there for couple hours was worth it to have the proper care for my 7 year old son. So wanted to share that you guys rocked today with the care you gave my little baby with the Iv and he was so brave and only had to poke him once :) made sure he was comfortable. So thank you for making his experience that could of been scary a good memory of showing that the hospital he was born in take such good care of him. High five to all of you on Team Riley today!!     We rented a house from John Freeman for a year. When we moved in the house had leaking faucets,…read moremelted outlet cover and leaking roof. We always paid rent on time and never complained. When our lease expired, we were told the house was being sold and we need to move out. Which we did as requested. We left the house in impeccable condition compared to how we moved in. I have videos as proof. When John Freeman came for a final walk through he was trying hard to find something wrong and at the end promised my husband to refund entire deposit. Today I received a check and they deducted $475 for interior cleaning and the yard (wtf???) and $10 for the 2nd key which we never received from them initially. I have proof that there was nothing wrong with the interior or the yard and contemplating taking John Freeman to small claims court. But honestly this is really low and especially poor business practice in a small town like El Paso. Not sure I want to stoop to his level. Funny thing, John Freeman prides himself on being an Army vet but he just ripped off an Active Duty US Soldier by $485. Hope it was worth it, Mr. Freeman.

I'd take my chances somewhere else even if the wait might be a little longer, at least you'll receive better care. From personal experience, when the nurse or whoever it was who took me to get weighed laughed at my weight, I knew they were unprofessional. Why are they laughing at patients who obviously are going to come in all shapes and sizes? Honestly, I don't know how they were able to make it through school. Secondly, when I came for a potentially sprained bone and was all cut up and bloody from falling, they didn't even clean it up before putting a bandage on it. No water, no soap, no sanitizer. nothing. I had to clean it myself at home. So there was no reason to come if I could've just took care of it myself. Just please don't go here. If you are able to, go to a better clinic even if the wait time is longer.

I thought giving myself some time to sleep on it would possibly change my feelings on our experience here, however my feelings have not changed. Background: this took place on a Tuesday evening following initial visits to urgent care on the previous Friday evening and Monday morning. The Dr. at the second visit to the urgent care advised "if your symptoms continue to worsen, please go to the ER to get a chest x-ray or CT." That was the primary reason we went to the ER so soon as I am aware that illness can last a week or more. My daughter's fever was worsening over time, and despite frequent hydration, she felt extremely dehydrated and was experiencing a headache that would not improve with ibuprofen or medication. I am appalled at the behavior and bedside manner of most of the employees at this ER. We were first met with the front desk RN, Mayra. When we arrived, Mayra was mistreating an individual asking them "so do you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol? Diabetes? Which is it?" or things like "that's NOT what I asked you" in a horrible, angry tone. I should have turned around then and left but I was concerned about my child and did not want to risk going elsewhere with a longer wait time. Once she was done disrespecting that individual, it was my child's turn. I began to speak to Mayra and was going to explain "I know my child is 18 years old but also understand that if she requests, I can speak on her behalf" however I was interrupted by Mayra who immediately stated "I NEED to only speak with her. She's 18." When my daughter spoke with Mayra, she was extremely condescending disregarding anything my daughter expressed she was dealing with by minimizing or disregarding symptoms mentioned. For example, my daughter expressed that she was experiencing a painful migraine so Mayra asked "do you have a history of migraines?" to which my daughter replied she did not as she does not have chronic migraines but HAS experienced migraines before. Mayra replies "ok so then you have a headache." When asking her medical history and when my daughter did not answer quickly enough, Mayra responds "YOU KNOW THINGS you might be medicated for? Like diabetes, depression..." My daughter said "oh, yes I do." Again, she was not feeling well and (side note, my child is autistic so the line of questioning was being answered to the best of her ability!) so she just answered the question as a yes or no. Mayra looked annoyed so I answered, "depression, she takes..." Mayra interrupted stating "I DON'T NEED TO KNOW WHAT SHE TAKES." Yikes! She then proceeds to give my child the pain scale instructions stating "Ok, so how bad is your pain on a scale of 1 to 10 and I mean ten being your arm was just cut off." Considering that my child has never experienced pain from limb loss, she cannot utilize limb loss to accurately gauge her pain? Advice for asking about the pain scale, Mayra, would be to state "Ten being the worst pain YOU have ever felt and one being pain that is bearable but bothersome." We were seen pretty quickly by an ER tech who asked why we were being seen. My daughter again explained her symptoms to which the ER tech stated "okay, well you might just have a virus, you tested negative at the urgent care?" to which my daughter responded that yes, she tested negative but that she might have a 'flu.' The tech looked puzzled, but my daughter was simply relaying what she was told by the nurse from the Urgent care a few nights before. She then stated she would do blood work and swab for covid, strep, and flu. She swabbed my daughters NOSE then put the SAME SWAB in her throat!? I could not believe she did this. I know that sometimes they may begin with the throat swab THEN test the nasal cavity but the reverse? Yikes! The ER tech did state "you might also be feeling like this because you're so dehydrated and I bet you're not hydrating." Did not ask "how often are you hydrating?" or "Are you consuming or drinking electrolytes?" just "you're probably not hydrating." It was presumptuous of her. She had been hydrating OFTEN and consuming electrolytes. The tech then clumsily attempted to place an IV in my daughter's arm but was having difficulty (likely due to my daughter's dehydration?) and eventually placed the IV in her hand. Shortly thereafter, another RN (short, curly blonde or light brown hair-I could not see her nametag as most of the nurses had their tags flipped around-I wonder why?) came in and stated "you know that viruses last longer than just a few days. Why are we seeing you right now?" I did my best not to interject as my child is 18 years old but they bulldozed her while she was experiencing extreme pain so I would interject when necessary. We informed this nurse that she had already been seen in urgent care Friday night and the morning prior and that the doctor at urgent care advised that we go
