Howard transported Dean from Eisenhower to the hospice home. The care was outstanding. My husband was kept extremely comfortable in his short stay there. Betty, their grief counselor has visited me a couple times to see how I was doing. The hospice home was clean, comfortable and quiet, things I wanted to provide my husband in his last days. Birdie was able to get us set up in one afternoon... And had a caregiver here at 7 AM the next morning. Sophia worked a 12 hour shift taking care of my brother. And I could see right away that she wasn't just doing a "job"... She was truly caring for my brother. Her work came from her heart. And the same was true for Ryan, who relieved her at 7 PM. Sadly, my brother died around 8:30 that night. Yet Ryan stayed with me, to provide moral support, until the mortuary finally picked up my brother's body. I can't say enough about the quality of care that Right at Home provided... and the quality of people they have hired. I highly recommend them.

My 1st call was to Bertie, she was very understanding and really took the time to listen to our needs. It felt like I was talking to a friend who really cares. Through the years we have only had of couple different care givers, not because of anything specific other than finding the perfect fit for my Mom. That perfect fit is Raina! Raina has been so caring and gentle with my Mom and truly understands her needs. She is very patient and listens. Raina has become a vital part in helping my Mom stay in the home she loves so dearly. I am thankful to Right at Home and the wonderful staff helping our family through this challenging time. I highly recommend, if you are looking for in home care, start at Right at Home.

She was simply an angel during the 3 days my mom was passing away. I just wanted to send a note to say that you have an absolutely incredible employee and I feel so lucky to have been blessed with her kindness. Gentiva overall was a wonderful experience during such a difficult time. Thank you for all that you are doing to take care of your employees so they are happy and for all of the hard work that everyone does from the cleaning people to the very kind Dr. It could not have been any better of an experience.

Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience…read more Our family has spent nearly five months trying to get a physician certification completed for an EDD Paid Family Leave claim after our father passed away on April 24, 2026. From the beginning, we followed the instructions we were given. We were initially told that the doctor did not use the online system, so we brought the physical paperwork to the doctor. We later learned from EDD that the physician's signature was missing. EDD then instructed us to have the doctor complete the certification online. EDD told us that the doctor submitted it as a Disability claim instead of a Paid Family Leave claim and entered 8 hours of care, even though our father required 24-hour care. EDD required us to go through the process again and sent new paperwork, including forms that needed to be completed by the doctor. We personally delivered the paperwork to Gentiva and then spent weeks calling and following up. We were repeatedly told someone would call us back. No one did. We eventually had to go to the Gentiva office in person just to get updates. After approximately three weeks of waiting for paperwork we had personally delivered, we were ultimately told that the doctor "will not fill out any more paperwork." Nearly five months have now passed since our father's death, and our EDD claim still cannot move forward because the physician certification has not been properly completed. We have documented our calls, paperwork, and attempts to resolve this issue. We have also filed a formal complaint with Gentiva's Compliance Department. This is no longer about the EDD payment. It is about the principle of the matter and the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability. During an already difficult time following the loss of our father, we expected basic professionalism and communication. Instead, our family was left chasing paperwork and answers for months. Very disappointing experience with Gentiva.

She was under hospice care upon her arrival, and they worked well with the hospice company to ensure she was comfortable and was able to pass with dignity. I was fortunate to get a referral through the Alzheimer's Association to Kenny Slaman and Loving Care Living in Bermuda Dunes. From our first meeting with Kenny, we felt very comfortable. He had a deep understanding of the disease, and the normal progression. We made arrangements to move my Mother in, and made her, and us, feel welcome. She lived there two years, and at all times they maintained open communications with us. When Covid began, they took early precautions to minimize exposure risks, and began periodic testing of staff and patients to protect their health, long before it was recommended by public health agencies. They were also very helpful in getting my Mom enrolled in hospice to help with the costs of her increasing needs. I highly recommend Loving Care Living for assistance with Elder care needs, they will treat you like family!

An Amazing Experience!…read more I can't express enough how thankful I am for Lori and the entire staff at Segovia. I recently needed to transition my 91 year old mother from her own home to assisted living. I researched many locations and visited a couple of them and none of them hold a candle to the quality and care of the Segovia staff. Lori from Marketing made the process incredibly easy and treated my mom with such care and compassion. They helped me get really nice rental furniture quickly from a trusted vendor and made the move in process seamless. The building facilities are top notch and beautifully decorated. I have now had multiple meals with my mom at Segovia and the food quality is amazing and the service is excellent. The staff has made us feel very welcome in such a short time. In my mom's first week, she has already started making friends and participating in the multiple activities in the development and offsite. If you are looking for the best in assisted living in the Coachella Valley, Segovia is the place!

However, awhile back (and on a Sunday) I needed emergency help with Mike when he took too much of his pain meds and it took me 3 phone calls and Ardent 2 hours to respond. I was furious to say the least and refused to even let the nurse in when he finally did show up. Mike was all right as it turned out but this is not the place to call in a rush or a pinch. I was under the impression we were to call them instead of the paramedics, but that is apparently not the case. Following those events nobody at Ardent ever reached out to speak to me or try to understand what happened, and I am Mike's caregiver. I am still on the fence as to whether this was a good idea for us.
