I read these few negative reviews and was quite surprised. I had Lovett Homes build a very large custom home for my wife and me in the Galleria inner loop area around 15 years ago. I did quite a bit of research on builders before selecting Lovett. I did not use any online reviews, but rather talked to a number of folks who had homes built by Lovett. I did not get any of the names from Lovett, but rather from a friend who had a Lovett home built in West University Place. His experience was exceptional and the quality was excellent. I also looked at a number of resale homes in the inner city, and consistently found that the ones constructed by Lovett were a cut above most of the others. The price I was quoted was very reasonable and the builder stayed on budget. During the contracting and building phase we had one early problem with a superintendent, who was promptly replaced on my request. The new superintendent went above and beyond. The house quality is excellent and the experience was quite positive. Over the next few years there were a few minor problems, as there always is in new construction. I called and they immediately came out and addressed them, at no charge. If I build another home in Houston, my first call will be to Lovett. read more

We purchased our new home in Ravenna Subdivision near Post Oak Road and IH 10. Its a new subdivision on dead end street with plenty of security. Our sales person was Ms. Rochelle. She is a wonderful person to work with throughout the entire sales process. Rochelle is so knowledgeable in all aspects of the home building and sales event thru closing. She is very honest and is always more than eager to solve any issues. She is so resourceful too. Rochelle provided suggestions and ideas to help us sell our current home quicker. Rochelle is considered our sales person but more importantly our friendly neighbor too. She will go the extra mile in helping you every step of the way. Erik is another super great sales person at Ravenna subdivision. When Rochelle is unavailable then Erik is there to assist in anything he can do for you. Erik has helped us when needed also. We found our new town home while walking around the Museum District. From the start with our first phone call through the closing, it was a breeze working with this builder/developer. Their materials and craftsmanship is top notch. They built us a wonderful new home and we're very happy. We worked with Richard as the sales and builder's representative. He was honest about time commitments and was very responsive with every question or any issue that arose. Ben "the builder", who was the onsite construction manager, was excellent. He always stopped what he was doing whenever we came to the site. While there was an issue at the end of the project, the entire Lovett team stepped up, acknowledged the issue, and worked diligently to resolve to our satisfaction. We recently moved into our home on Southside Circle and just love it! We had to expedite our move as we needed to get our kids situated in school and everyone was great in making this happen for us. Any repairs or things that needed to be addressed have been tended to or they are in midst of taking care of. I think their floor plan in comparison to any other town homes in the area is far and above better for family living and Steve and Manuel really really know their stuff!
