Beautiful homes, disappointing quality and workmanship Lovett Homes builds beautiful-looking homes, but unfortunately, the quality and workmanship of our home have been extremely disappointing. We have experienced numerous issues that, in my opinion, should not be happening in a relatively new home. Some of the problems include: * Paint drips and poor paint finishing throughout the house * Cheap-feeling materials and fixtures * Toilet paper and towel holders repeatedly coming loose or coming apart * Plumbing leaks * Light fixtures coming off the wall because they were not properly secured * Doors that do not close properly * Other workmanship and construction issues that continue to require attention What has been especially frustrating is trying to get these issues addressed. Requests for repairs have sometimes been ignored or denied because they are considered "out of warranty," despite the fact that some of these problems involve what appears to be poor installation or workmanship. A home can look beautiful on the surface, but the quality of the construction and materials matters just as much. Unfortunately, our experience has been that the appearance of the home does not match the quality we expected If you are considering buying a Lovett home, I strongly recommend doing a very thorough independent inspection and paying close attention to the quality of the materials, installation, and finishes--not just how beautiful the home looks during the walkthrough. read more

I read these few negative reviews and was quite surprised. I had Lovett Homes build a very large custom home for my wife and me in the Galleria inner loop area around 15 years ago. I did quite a bit of research on builders before selecting Lovett. I did not use any online reviews, but rather talked to a number of folks who had homes built by Lovett. I did not get any of the names from Lovett, but rather from a friend who had a Lovett home built in West University Place. His experience was exceptional and the quality was excellent. I also looked at a number of resale homes in the inner city, and consistently found that the ones constructed by Lovett were a cut above most of the others. The price I was quoted was very reasonable and the builder stayed on budget. During the contracting and building phase we had one early problem with a superintendent, who was promptly replaced on my request. The new superintendent went above and beyond. The house quality is excellent and the experience was quite positive. Over the next few years there were a few minor problems, as there always is in new construction. I called and they immediately came out and addressed them, at no charge. If I build another home in Houston, my first call will be to Lovett. read more

We purchased our new home in Ravenna Subdivision near Post Oak Road and IH 10. Its a new subdivision on dead end street with plenty of security. Our sales person was Ms. Rochelle. She is a wonderful person to work with throughout the entire sales process. Rochelle is so knowledgeable in all aspects of the home building and sales event thru closing. She is very honest and is always more than eager to solve any issues. She is so resourceful too. Rochelle provided suggestions and ideas to help us sell our current home quicker. Rochelle is considered our sales person but more importantly our friendly neighbor too. She will go the extra mile in helping you every step of the way. Erik is another super great sales person at Ravenna subdivision. When Rochelle is unavailable then Erik is there to assist in anything he can do for you. Erik has helped us when needed also. He too is wonderful to work with. read more

We recently put a contract down to buy a new Lovett Home on Awty School Drive in the new Ravenna development. We have been very pleased with the builder, supervisor, Dustin, and sales agent, Rochelle Hall. All involved have been very informative and easy to work with during the construction process. We searched for over 6 months for a new house and Lovett Homes definitely offers the best construction and best value for your money. The design center made the selection process easy and painless. Claire did a very good job of explaining selection and helping with our modifications and change orders as well. Lovett homes are the most energy efficient homes in the Houston maret today. We found our new town home while walking around the Museum District. From the start with our first phone call through the closing, it was a breeze working with this builder/developer. Their materials and craftsmanship is top notch. They built us a wonderful new home and we're very happy. We worked with Richard as the sales and builder's representative. He was honest about time commitments and was very responsive with every question or any issue that arose. Ben "the builder", who was the onsite construction manager, was excellent. He always stopped what he was doing whenever we came to the site. While there was an issue at the end of the project, the entire Lovett team stepped up, acknowledged the issue, and worked diligently to resolve to our satisfaction. We are very happy and highly recommend Lovett Homes. read more

I am the proud owner of a Lovett home in Revenna. My brilliant realtor discovered Revenna and we met there that day. Shayna Andrews was incredible. She listened as I described how unhappy I was after we downsized from a big home to a townhouse. That townhouse was sizable measured in square feet, but the rooms were small and there wasn't enough light. She immediately understood and we walked down a block and entered this beutiful spacious, light and bright home. I loved everything about it and we bought it. The details are all thought out for you, it's as if Lovett knew what I wanted and needed. Your home is so important, and this home puts me in peace. read more

We recently moved into our home on Southside Circle and just love it! We had to expedite our move as we needed to get our kids situated in school and everyone was great in making this happen for us. Any repairs or things that needed to be addressed have been tended to or they are in midst of taking care of. I think their floor plan in comparison to any other town homes in the area is far and above better for family living and Steve and Manuel really really know their stuff! I have taken Steve's suggestions during the building process and he has been spot on in every decision along the way Amazing location and great family home. Thanks everyone! read more

With any new home construction, there are always bumps in the road. However, Wayne and Shayna from Lovett homes deserve a shout out for going above and beyond on customer service. Wayne came one day after all the Harvey nonsense and figured out how to get our elevator back on for my dad, who had to evacuate to our home and can't handle stairs. Shayna, made our experience with buying our home 110 percent better. She was there every step of the way and continues to help finish off all the items remaining before our home is completely done. read more

I love my Lovett home! We purchased our home a few years ago. I am impressed with the quality of the construction along with the energy efficiency of our home. The things that stand out the most: the durable cabinets (which have withstood my toddlers constant opening and closing them), and the Miele appliances which make cooking a breeze and give the kitchen an upscale feel. If you are looking for a home, it's important to choose the right builder. I highly recommend Lovett to all my family and friends. read more
