We contracted with InTown Homes to build a home on our lot in the Spring Branch, Memorial area. Dustin was very attentive to our needs and he had the home built ahead of schedule. 2 years in, we love the home. We get compliments from everyone in the neighborhood, especially about the brick. It really does look different than every other new build in the neighborhood. The only service calls we've had was a dripping back gutter and repair to a crack in the door frame. It was taken care of immediately. Other than that, home has been worry free with normal care and maintenance by my husband. We're very glad we chose InTown to build the home. read more

To say that the workmanship of this home is bad would be available an obvious understatement. From a horrendous paint job through the entire home, chipped wood floors, nail holes and gaps in the floors, uneven wall plates, gaps around wall plates, uneven cabinets, poorly painted cabinets, multiple uncaulked seems, numerous scuff marks, a large hole in the wall in the garage, a broken refrigerator outlet box, holes in crown moulding, paint-covered door handles, and many other blatant defects, I have never seen workmanship this horrendous, especially for a new construction home. I am beyond dissatisfied with the final product. This is the third house I have purchased in the past four years, and I strongly regret closing on this property. I never thought a home builder would have the audacity to sell a home is this condition. I just moved earlier today from an Ashton Woods home that was purchased new in 2018, and the difference in the quality of workmanship couldn't be more obvious. read more

InTown Homes built a house that could have killed me and my family, but refused to reimburse me for the imperative and necessary repair to reverse a life-threatening mistake they made during the building of my home. I have owned my home for a year now. Soon after I moved in, I noticed that my dryer would require several cycles to dry my clothing. Strange, I thought - as I was careful to not overload it. A ticket was placed with InTown Homes and a serviceman was sent out to check it out. According to InTown Homes' serviceman, a new dryer vent cap needed to be installed. Great, a solution was found - or so I thought. The dryer still did not dry my clothes, so perhaps the issue laid with my dryer. I contacted the manufacturer, not once, but several times and each time their technicians assured me that there were no detectable issues with the appliance. Strange. InTown Homes had allegedly remediated the issue with the house and the manufacturer of the dryer assures me nothing was faulty with the dryer. I finally contacted duct cleaners, suspecting the issue may have been lint. The duct cleaners discovered, to my horror, that the exhaust vent to my dryer was closed off and InTown Homes had laid ROOF SHINGLES over it. The duct cleaners I hired then proceeded to cut the vent and cut the shingles blocking it to create a way for dryer exhaust to escape. This entire time, my dryer exhaust was closed off. The shoddy ductwork laid by InTown Homes posed a serious fire hazard to my house in Austin, TX, where is has been over 100 degress for the past 10 days. I reached out to InTown Homes seeking reimbursement for the repair and their response to their gross negligence was outright refusal to make things right, or even apologize. Not only was my time and money wasted, but their oversight resulted in my home being a death trap. I cannot OVERSTATE the seriousness of the matter and the risk InTown Homes had put me and my family in. For these reasons, I cannot recommend to ANYONE that they purchase their next home from InTown Homes. read more

Between siding panels falling off the side of the house, crappy electrical outlets that you can't plug anything into, hvac problems, fencing issues, etc etc these homes are terrible. Before we bought our first Kolbe Farms home in 2022, we were always drawn to In-Town homes because the floor plans and exteriors are all so unique. Kolbe Farms feels like you're in a small town in the middle of the city. The lake and park were a huge draw, and we have loved the close knit feel of the community. Thomas Jennings helped us with our first purchase, and with our recent second purchase in this community. He was extremely helpful and has really become a friend. We kept our first house as a rental property, and moved into a home that is a little larger and has a small yard. I can't say enough great things about Thomas and the construction crews. Buyer BEWARE: Think twice before getting an InTown home. I have had a few warranty issues that they have gotten around fixing due to excuses. My doorlock jammed and my refrigerator makes an awful noise. The refrigerator i was told is just like that. And the door lock jam they refused to reimburse me for the locksmith even though I was locked out on a Saturday at 6am. I guess I was supposed to wait all weekend till they could return my call and let me in. Also the builders stuffed the wrong filters into the vents 14×14 for 12x12. While this may seem meanial it is a testament to the quality of service/building. Also I purchased my home in June and now I am getting a surprise notice that I owe taxes for the full year. I was not told this at closing. See attached. If I had to do it over again I would find another place. Hope this helps potential buyers. Find another place! read more

Do not purchase a home from Intown homes. This home is 2 years old and have never seen this type of poor construction. Also, Poor management and home builder supervision and home owners support. Our home has had issues from day one. The A/C has never been fixed correctly. The downstairs is consistently cold unless I set the thermostat at 90 degrees. The wood floor is lifting in various places. The paint on the interior and exterior is not of good quality. The exterior stucco panels are not good quality and are installed very poorly. The panels are loose with open holes and nails showing. They did not seal the panels and were painted very poorly. The townhome is 56' tall and the gutters were installed very poorly with one upper and lower strap that barely held the gutters to the walls. In Town Homes customers service is not accountable and non-existent. The developer is non-existent You will never talk to this guy because he does not want to meet with his customers at all. His sales management team is robot programmed to tell you he cannot meet with the customer ever. I could add more issues. read more

The finishes in these homes are beautiful and the ceiling height really is making me think of starting the process myself! This place is not worth buying. The Loctaion is awful. (In Houston, Tx by Kempwood, not a good loctaion)And the workers here are shit. My dad had to call a lawyer cause of intown homes said they can't fix our siding wall that was un buckeld. As soon though as my dad got a lawyer, they automatically started to contact us and scheduled when they could come and fix the wall. But overall, it's insane that they can't fix something that's "so hard", the workers at least did a good job but still there are many more problems here than just that, for example, the workers blast loud music here that's just disturbing. My dad had to call fucking 5 or more times to get them to shut up. What i think is weird is that they are still making houses while people live here. Basically, this place just wants your money, and the lawnmore people show up constantly. Wend, Thurs, and Fri. Even Saturdays. I still wish I had stayed at my old house where I used to live where we just have our own lawnmore people come and know when they are done. Another problem I have here is that there are 3 homes with the same number. My Amazon packages got left on someone else's property even though that was the wrong house. Just cause they reuse the same number names 3 times is ridiculous. They can't even think of any other numbers. The mail boxes here are bad too, not for the mail, but if you get something from amazon, and they deliver it in the lock boxes, you get this key but you play the guessing game, which one is the package in. The key numbers are called on the key 1 and 2 for all of them. One time when this even happend I never got my package my Aunt gave me cause someone stole it cause all those damn keys open all the lock boxes and once the key is in the lock box and you opened the wrong one. You can't take it out, which is unfortunate. And the second time, i got 2 plusbies from Youtooz, and someone else stole them, but thankfully, they returned my gifts back, unlike the a$$h*le that stile my other plushie that never got returned. This place is just a waste of money and not worth living here, if you wanna deal with all these problems I'm dealing with. Another thing is the roads are too narrow. Cars can't pass you at all and y9u have to yeld to them and the constant car parking in front of your house and everywhere makes it even worse when a cat is in fornt of you and you can't pass cause of the loser that owns 3 cars leaves on out side all the time. read more

We bought an InTown resale home in Capital Oaks V (EaDo) in January 2022 and could not be happier with our purchase! We didn't even buy from InTown but had an AC issue last summer and were able to get warranty info from them easily which saved us $100's of dollars on the AC coil repair, and their homes are really great quality and smartly designed compared to other builders in this price range. We also went out to Kolbe Farms in Spring Branch this weekend and were blown away by what a great community it is, I don't want to live outside the loop but if I did this community would be amazing! Do not buy from InTown Homes. We moved into the townhomes at Las Colinas Station and were impressed by the look of the townhome. Once we closed on the house, we noticed the lack of quality control and shoddy construction. Immediately when we moved in, we had 3 sinks leaking, problems with electrical switches and a broken Bosch oven. The longer we live in the home, the more issues we discover regarding the quality of the build. We have contacted the Warranty Department and they are pretty dismissive. Bought our first home from InTown and from Natasha specifically about two years ago. The build quality is great. In addition to the quality of the materials and finishes, the layout is designed well. We saw so many homes before InTown where the doors would hit another door when you opened them. Basic stuff like that is all taken into account with InTown homes. Natasha was a fantastic agent. Yes, she represented the selling side but at times it felt like she was doing a better job helping us than our own agent! She was never pushy and was genuinely trying to understand our needs. Dealing with the warranty process is a nightmare. Stay away from this company. I have owned 4 homes, 3 of which were new builds. This company has been by far the worst. She is friendly, responsive, and very hardworking. The neighborhood is under construction still, so there have been some issues as a result (but I knew it'd be under construction for awhile when I bought it), and I'm very thankful that Natasha has been so responsive to concerns the homeowners raise even post-sale. We just moved into our Intown Homes Townhouse. Our sales person was Natasha Morillo. Natasha was very attentative, honest, and professional in all aspects to our needs and requirements before, during, and after construction through the closing of our home. Our material selection process with Natasha went very smooth and all upgrades we explained. Intown Homes builds a quality home. Our third party inspector found mostly cosmetic issues and no mechanical or electrical issue at all. All of this cosmetic issue were fixed prior to closing. We have build many new construction homes and even through this Covid 19 dilemma Intown Homes builds a very nice home and is was a pleasure working with the Intown Homes Team. Over the summer of 2018, I toured over 35 open houses to check out the new construction in Houston. Nearly all the homes I visited looked very cookie-cutter with the exception of maybe three. InTown caught my eye with its well-designed floor plans, outdoor living space, and windows that illuminated the home with natural light. Kathryn and Greg were super-courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They had an answer for every single question I asked (many), and they responded with patience and enthusiasm. I spent a great deal of time with Kathryn and truly got the sense that she genuinely cares about the people who live in the InTown communities. I later asked some neighbors if they enjoyed living there. Every single person I asked said, "Yes! You should move here!" and I'll pass along the same advice. read more

Horrible! I have been experiencing so many issues since I moved in about 3 years ago. I had to replace the tiles in all 3 bathrooms, replace the AC blower, improper calking work... the list goes on. I have been having an issue with noise coming from the attic and I've been notifying builder for past two years ( thru the warranty app). I hear really creepy creaking noise when its windy outside. Not storming, just a little wind! which should not happen in newly constructed home. The builder guy came out a few times but couldn't identify the issue and told me to call him when I hear the noise... but never available to come over when I call. The builder won't fix it unless they know the exact area that is making the noise. Actually told me to go up there myself to find out which area. Although I have multiple videos and told him where exactly I hear the noise, it is not enough because they didn't hear it. Then sent out a structure engineer who did not do proper inspection. He literally went up there to just "look around" without any tools to measure spacing or see there's enough bracing to the underside of the trusses. I did my own research online to send them a screen shot of my finding and go to the attic with my own concerned neighbor to press and step on everything to see if we can identify the area. I am doing what the builder is supposed to do fix the problem. I am the only one in the neighborhood hear this noise so clearly it is improper structure work. so frustrating and disappointing that builder is not takin responsibility to their poor structure work and just trying to brush off my issues. or should I say denying... If I don't hear it then there's no issue. I've reached out to the corporate office to request a manage to call, but she just left me a message on the warranty app and has not returned my call... How unprofessional. I had high expectation on intown home but now I am warning everyone I know to void this builder as they DO NOT build quality homes nor take warranty concerns serious. read more

Read the other negative comments (I now find them all true). InTown Homes is a horrible builder; wish I never bought a house from them in Timbergrove Heights. Their model homes will look good but the actual houses they build for you will be full of problems. Even if you note them and ask them to fix prior to closing, they will do the bare minimum to hide the problem. For things they agree to fix after closing, they will give you some bull crap excuse to not fix altogether, or do some bare minimum effort and call it a day. The contractors they hire are extremely unprofessional and not even trained (I see kids that look like they belong in elementary school grinding countertops for a new house one day). TL;DR. DO NOT BE FOOLED, avoid like the plague. On another note, Kathryn Yao is very pleasant to work with. The others are rude and unprofessional. read more

My fiance and I spoke with Aubrey at Rice Fields at Plano Arts about one of the last houses there. After a week of back and forth going over our options and contractual language, we were told there were other interested parties, but that he could draft a contract with the language we had asked for. We never got the draft. We were notified the next morning that someone had signed a contract. We spent hours of our time over a week working through the details only for it to go away with no discussion or warning. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy in this transaction were stunning. We won't be looking at any other InTown communities as a result. In town homes builds very beautiful houses. I won't rate their quality top notch because we did have some hiccups in the building process and some issues afterwords. Some of our neighbors have bigger issues and we are lucky that so far we only have minor problems. Except this, their houses are beautiful and designs are modern and great! The floor plans uses the room in a very efficient way and gives you that luxury feeling. Our neighborhood is beautiful! We fell in love with it from the begging and never regret we bought our first home here. We are currently building with another luxury home builder in the suburbs and realized how much Intown homes give to their customers. Don't get me wrong, my current builder is great and we've been having amazing experience with them so far. But as we all know most of the builders charges for everything from upgrading the recessed lightings to soft close of your cabinets. Intown home offers all of these with their house price and you don't need to worry about upgrading them. You'll get hardwood flooring, good quality and color of carpet, and the biggest plus is the kitchen cabinets. Their standard cabinets would cost us $$$$ for upgrades with other builders. Not to mention a lot of other details they offer. I think their houses are great value especially for younger buyers or first time buyers. We now really appreciate how much they offer within their price range comparing with other builders. Our sales consultant Thomas is a fun and cool guy to work with. The design center consultant is also very sweet and helpful. They won't try to sell you for upgrades if you don't need them. They are very honest to you and let you know if you really need to spend the money. read more

I went and did research on so many builders and saw so many model homes. Other builders will give you a price and then add on a ton of money for upgrades if u want your house to look like the model. With Intown pretty much everything comes as standard which i like so much better. Kathryn and Greg were awesome in helping me through the whole process. It was frustrating at times for various reasons since I bought when the hour was not even framed yet, we kept getting delays because of the rain and from what I've heard it's really hard to get trades to show up now which is typical in new construction at the moment. I had to extend my lease which was annoying but it all paid off in the end. If u do a build job, definitely have a backup plan in case it runs longer than anticipated. Overall I love my new home, they let me pick all my own interior finishes and everything I wanted came standard! I wanted white marble countertops in my bathroom and that came standard which was really cool. I love my new home in the heights and I highly recommend this builder! read more

From day 1 of buying our home at Kolbe Farms, Intown was superior to other builders as far as customer service, quality and transparency. When we were shopping for homes in the area we found that Intown was clearly the best choice as far as quality for the price range. Not too many upgrades available, most the selections are included in the price that is listed which is great. We have marble countertop bathrooms , wood floor (these were not upgrades). We just moved in and are thrilled with our home. Thomas Jennings was our sales person and he very helpful throughout the whole process, as first time homeowners he made sure to answer all our questions in a timely matter and keep up us updated as the house was constructed as much as possible. Everyone we worked with at Intown provided the best service. Highly recommended, and our home is lovely we are very happy. Also the neighborhood is great, love that none of the houses are exactly the same. HOA fee is very close to what other neighborhoods cost, but offers more (pool, gate, lake, trails to walk around). read more

I recently just closed on my home in downtown Las Colinas (Irving/Dallas) and after multiple delays that caused the home not to be completed on time for month after month for over 3 months costing me thousands of dollars due to their delays, the Sales agent Brit Ewers pushed me the close with less than a 24 hours notice when they said it was completed. My agent protested and asked to close a few days after but Brit kept insisting that if I did not close they would charge me $100.00 a day because the home was completed and the contract stipulated the fee. When we did the final walk through I was assured the small items that would need to be fixed would be fixed by the time we closed. I just closed this past Friday came to the home and the builder was still fixing the items, also the home was completely dirty and dingy, my agent once again informed Brit Ewers of the issues especially since Brit was the one that was pushing the closing so soon and he could care less, his response " Thanks for the feedback" no accountability, no we will get these items corrected as soon as possible. Brit Ewers acted more like he was selling day old donuts more than brand new construction homes. This was my first home purchase and I am honestly in shock with the lack of professionalism and care from Intown homes. Please be aware if you decide to work this builder in the future as to this point they did not clean my property or have any interest except getting paid. read more

Shoddy construction work, cheap materials inside the homes, A/C issues will happen to you guaranteed, HOA dues are insanely expensive for no reason, busted pipes that connect to the city water will cause everyone's HOA to in turn go up, leaking roofs, stucco problems, and the list can go on. Just do yourself a favor and don't fall for their sales pitches, because it's not all it's cracked up to be in the long run. I lived here for 3.5 years and loved it. The homes are beautiful and well designed. The community is one where you actually know your neighbors. I always felt very safe there. There's a Facebook group, quarterly block parties and even a poker night (never went to this cause I don't know how to play poker). I purchased my home pre-construction and worked with Kathryn Yao and Greg Burton who managed the sales office. I can't say enough about how wonderful these two were, not only during the purchasing process, but the entire time I lived there. If I had any questions or needed advice on anything to do with the home they were always just a call or text away and were so quick to respond. Kathryn actually lived just across from me and was a great neighbor. Always will to help me and anyone else in the community. Greg didn't live in the community but sometimes it felt like he did. He helped me with so many little projects over the years that I couldn't do on my own. I just moved out this past July but only because I retired to a 55+ community.
