I don't have a shower on board my sprinter van and when I'm traveling alone, I just use my Planet Fitness membership and shower there. But this trip is with Mrs. K. and it's been a few days. We need a shower. I decided to give Love's a try, having read about this option online. Using the Love's app, it was super easy to book from the parking lot and pay for it. As it was morning, there were already showers available so we didn't wait. I got the confirmation immediately. We got our stuff together and headed in. Easy to dial the confirmation number into our designated shower, step inside and lock the door behind us. Inside, a big private space. And CLEAN. Sink, toilet and shower, complete with towels. They only have the same soap that is used at the sinks in the washroom, but that's okay - we were prepared. Mrs. K. and I had our showers and we feel a TON more human now. Clean! The staff were friendly here and the bathrooms were clean. Most of all we appreciate that Love's offers us all we need in a long RV pulling a car. Love's Travel Stop...Received bad gas.... Don't get me wrong, I love gas stations that are truck stops, they always have a wide variety of goods and unique stuff, so let me explain my one star rating.... I filled up here on my way to work in Lake Charles one morning in what at the time was a new car. My car died when I stopped at an intersection getting off I-10, which I thought to be odd for how new it was, but I made it to work. Well, after work my car wouldn't start and long story short....and $850 later, I received bad gas. I kept my receipt and could prove I pumped unleaded, (diesel wasn't even offered at the pump I was at), but the mechanic tested the gas he pulled and said there was diesel or oil in it, as it was blue. I suppose someone hooked up the wrong hose when delivering fuel or something. I will never stop here again and have become extremely picky about where I fill up now. Never been to the casino side. read more

Basics: a bit smaller "feeling" with a flipped layout not consisrent with other Love's. Has a small dog area. This location has an Arby's; did not use so I can not speak to that. It's at the LouisianaTexas border, so there is a casino attached. Pros: friendly, considerate employees Neutral: customers were not masked in the morning but they were socially distancing. Not Love's problem, they did not enforce mask and Im not sure if Louisiana has a mandate as of 3\19 2021. Cons: Im not sure what was the deal, but the diesel was just gone, a trickle, no matter which pump you used (auto side). The store was a bit run down and their hot food was minimal. Warning...Gross con The bathrooms were a mess. We usually park overnight a Love's so I get to " experience" the changing of the shifts, their customer service and maintanance of the facilities. It was dirty in the evening and dirty in the morning. Toilet paper everywhere, sinks not wiped down. The stall locks are old and need repair and the doors SLAM shut. Gross Warning. There was period blood on the floor, not Love's fault but if they cleaned at all, it would not be there. It was not fresh so the shift change would have cleaned it. It had "clumps" in it so I accidentally stepped on one and left blood prints in the stall. I wiped off my slipper bottom with the sanitizer in the stall and washed my hands throughly. Hopefully that woman is safe or else forensic files will match my slipper prints in her blood. Im not faulting Love's for a woman being gross but I am faulting their cleaning schedule. Thusfar, the worst Love's I have been to, but I would not call it "avoid at all cost". Soapbox time:Note to people, THIS is what maintenance and hourly workers deal with: biohazards, rude customers, crazy hours, minimal to no benefits. Treat them with respect and pay them a living wage. Poverty should not be tolerated and it is even more reprehensible that there is a such thing as the "working poor". Love's starts at 12/hr. That is somewhat decent in Louisiana but hardly livable in many areas. Come on people! End transmission. read more

Out of all the loves i have went to I honestly think this is the worst one its small and just bad restroom is filthy disgusting bad if u want a good gas station i don't advise going here. read more

Extremely rude cashier Weston! Old man with glasses! Came her tonight to stop for some drinks and commodities and he ROLLED his eyes HEAVILY when I told him I didn't want a bag as I approached the counter. He then proceeded to ring my items up wrongly and trying to overcharge me and when I inquired about the prices he rolled his eyes again and kept slamming the screen to delete things and re ring them. Made my first experience here extremely unpleasant he deserves disciplinary action this is no way to treat paying customers read more

I don't usually stop at loves, but did the other night. The store was very busy . Bathroom was clean and smelled good, store was clean and well stocked. I was amazed to see how well the cashier Weston was able to keep up with the flow of customers. He was very polite, efficient,and professional with a touch of southern hospitality personality. Anita came and assisted him with customers. The parking lot was clean despite the heavy traffic. Great place to shop, will go back. Enjoyed my hot dog and drink as well. read more

Clean clean clean restroom. Smelled of cleaning chemicals and was well maintained. My only complaint is there were 2 stalls without locks.
