They have fresh barbecue and special novelty snacks. (Yes, they've even got your spicy peaches and candied pecans!) If you're into picking up cool gifts or souvenirs, this place has a lot of those for every season. Cold drinks, coffee, chocolate, dog potty area, travel accessories... you name it... anything you need to make your trip more pleasant... they've got it. Iron Horse was a winner on a place for dogs with a fenced and double gated entry that was grassy and well maintained. Pet watering was even available. Beyond our canine needs, the gasoline was reasonably priced for the market environment at the time and the convenience store had some "fresh" offerings that were acceptable (not as good as our favorite stop in Clovis,NM). The restrooms were also above average for cleanliness but not on Buc-ee's level. This will likely become an anticipated regular stop when traveling with our dogs.

Bob and Karri's complaint for another Love's that they stayed at on the east coast was that they were too close to the Love's Truck Stop store. So I guess not everyone can be pleased. And while it was on the opposite side of the road for me heading southeast, it was easy to make a U-turn back towards in a short amount of time. There was ample space for cars, trucks, and big rigs. Trash cans, cigarette receptacles, mostly clean restrooms, vending machines, picnic tables, barbecue grills, handicap, access, interpretive displays and plenty of room to stretch out your legs with the dog, but I'm not sure if there were any dog waste bags available. We didn't see any attendants on the grounds at around 10:30 AM on 5.24.2025, however, this rest area is well-maintained and no trash in sight. Recommended.
