Our server Viv took our drink orders and welcomed us and dropped off the menus, she was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We decided to order a few appetizers the sampler platter (mozzarella logs, sliders and boneless buffalo chicken wings) and an order of the delicious mozzarella logs all which arrived hot from the kitchen again a credit to Viv's attention to detail - we ordered burgers and a shrimp po-boy for our entrées again everything arrived still hot and the burgers were all as ordered. The restaurant has a diverse menu offering anything from elevated bar food to seafood entrée and creative salads. Everything was delicious and there were absolutely no complaints regarding the food or service, if there was any negative it was the very uncomfortable wood bench seating, we has a wrap around booth and although beautiful it was not something I would sit at for an extended period of time so we cashed out and left as soon as the check was paid. This is definitely a place I'd recommend for causal dining, to catch a game or enjoy a few cocktails and beers with friends and family but probably would look for more comfortable seating...

Frankly, a single male with no children and one cat like myself should not really be dining at…read moreChuck E. Cheese! However, yesterday when I went to the Home Depot across the street to pick up a few things, I saw a really sad-looking Chuck E. Cheese, devoid of all but two cars but with signage indicating that they are still open, and are selling large pizzas or small wings for $5 each. I have not had Chuck E. Cheese since I was a child in grade school, so I decided that this COVID-19 environment is a good time to order a takeout pizza from them. After all, they probably appreciate the business right now. There is a number on the door to place an order, and it was promptly answered. Large pizzas were indeed $5 but toppings are an additional $2 each. Pepsi products are served at Chuck E. Cheese but I did not order a drink. I ordered a large pizza with Canadian Bacon and the employee on the line said to come into the building in about 10 minutes. Ten minutes have passed and I entered the restaurant and the lady knew what I ordered and it was ready. They practiced social distancing inside, with a Plexiglass barrier installed between the cashier and customer. After paying, another employee came out from the kitchen with my pizza and I was ready to go. The pizza came in a rather generic box, that reads "Life Tastes Better With Pizza," with an illustration of a pizza shaped like the State of Texas. I didn't really understand it, since we are about 30 miles inside Louisiana, but I presume that Chuck E. Cheese sourced whatever boxes are available at the time. In any case, it kept the pizza well for me to take home. At home, the pizza stayed hot and fresh, and was clearly something I expect kids to enjoy: A no-frills pizza with a good crust, a lot of mozzarella cheese, and ample amount of toppings. Perhaps a little on the bland side for my more sophisticated palate for pizza, but fortunately I had some crushed red pepper from a prior pizza run that I used which made a difference. Overall, as we are in this COVID-19 business environment, it was a good time for me to try out a place I normally would not patronize. The pizza gave me positive childhood memories, and I would definitely encourage others to support this and similar business during these difficult times.

Chuck E. Cheese - Lake Charles, Louisiana…read more Overall Rating: 1/5 - Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Extremely Disappointing Birthday Experience I recently hosted a birthday party at the Chuck E. Cheese location in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing. From the disorganized check-in process to the broken arcade games, overpriced mediocre pizza, and lackluster birthday celebration, I can confidently say that I will not be returning or recommending this location as a birthday party venue. Check-In and Customer Service Upon arrival, we were greeted at the entrance, checked in for our party, and directed to our designated tables. However, the front desk appeared chaotic and disorganized. Several employees were standing around, and most simply stared without speaking or offering assistance. One woman, whom I assumed may have been a manager because she seemed the most knowledgeable about the process, handled my check-in. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. The overall first impression was that the staff lacked coordination, communication, and a welcoming atmosphere. Arcade Experience - Extremely Disappointing This was probably one of my biggest frustrations. Several arcade machines were broken or not functioning properly. In my opinion, this location already has a limited selection of games, especially considering the number of children and birthday parties being accommodated simultaneously. With multiple machines out of service, children were left waiting for the few functioning games. Naturally, some children continued playing the same games repeatedly, making it even more difficult for others to enjoy their time. When you're advertising a two-hour unlimited arcade experience, the expectation is that children will actually have access to enough functioning games to enjoy those two hours. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I would rate the arcade experience VERY POOR. The children were excited to play, but the limited availability of functioning machines significantly diminished the value of what we paid for. Food Service - Disorganized, Late, and Overpriced Our birthday table was prepared with tablecloths and plates, which I appreciated. I had also preordered two pizzas and paid for them in full at the front desk upon arrival. However, another employee later approached our table to ask whether we had paid for the pizzas. This was confusing and demonstrated what appeared to be a breakdown in communication between employees. The two pizzas were already listed on our birthday party reservation card at the table. Why wasn't there a system in place to verify payment internally? Why should a customer have to confirm something that should already be documented? Quite frankly, I could have answered yes whether I had paid or not. That is exactly why businesses should have reliable internal processes for confirming payments rather than depending on customers to verbally verify transactions. We were also given an estimated time for our food to arrive, somewhere around 3:30-4:00 p.m., but it was well after 4:00 before our pizzas were delivered. I will acknowledge that the pizzas arrived hot. As for the quality? Completely unimpressive. Chuck E. Cheese pizza is mediocre at best, especially considering the price. Paying more than $20 for a basic, one-topping pizza of that quality is ridiculous. I've had Hunt Brothers Pizza that tasted significantly better for a fraction of the cost. I understand that food sales are part of the business model, but the pricing should at least reflect the quality. In this case, it absolutely did not. Birthday Show - Unenthusiastic and Impersonal The birthday celebration itself was another disappointment. Chuck E. eventually came out for what I would loosely describe as a birthday show. It consisted of some singing and clapping, but the character's performance seemed unenthusiastic and lacked the excitement I would expect from a children's birthday venue. I will give credit to the employees who participated in the celebration. However, with approximately six or seven birthday parties taking place at once, the entire experience felt rushed, generic, and impersonal. I understand the business may find it more efficient to combine birthday celebrations, but from a customer's perspective, it takes away from what should be a special moment for the birthday child. There was nothing particularly memorable or exciting about the performance. It felt more like someone briefly stopping by the table to sing Happy Birthday than an actual birthday show. Birthday Package - Poor Value for the Money I selected the $99 birthday package and purchased additional pizzas. I specifically chose this option because I could not justify paying $29.99 per child for the upgraded package. Two of my invited guests did not attend, and quite frankly, I would have been even more frustrated had I purchased the more expensive package, considering the num

One star down, because they allow smoking in the building. Absolutely hate it. The evening trip was smoke everywhere. Interestingly, the next morning, there was very little scent of smoke remaining, so their AC puts in work. They were also replacing doors and equipment, and repairing areas to keep it in good condition. Half of the casino floor was closed off for some reason in the morning, likely remodeling or cleaning. I like a clean facility. They seemed to do a good job at cleaning as there weren't any glass cups or other trash hanging out. Security folks were nice, and very efficient. We weren't able to get on the black jack tables, too crowded the first night for the minimum we wanted to play at, or too few tables the next morning. So we hit some slots. Parking is easy. Garage and lots are available. Personally prefer the garage for the ease. We went to the Saltgrass restaurant on the premises, it had absolutely awful service. I won't take that out on the casino, it will get it's own review. Will definitely be back to the casino again. Always a good time, especially with the right people.

I just wanted to share my thoughts in hopes the hotel will do better.

I enjoyed a game of pool with my preteen. I wish I could have enjoyed the air hockey, and the classic game of Mr. Pac Man. The service was really great! Both gentlemen checking in on the event, and offer services to anything that may have been needed. And updated us on time schedule, and offered just a tad bit more, (due to no other events, after ours), which was really nice, for us to clean up, and leave the spot better than we found it. I didn't have the opportunity to try any of the food, however I've been informed that the food is great. My son really wanted to try their pizza; I promise next visit we'll order a half cheese, and pepperoni. (Especially since we mention it after we left.) We'll defiantly be returning here, whenever we're in town.

This arcade was terrific, from the game selection to the atmosphere. There was an array of video games to play like their 10 foot tall classic Pac-Man game, an old school marvel vs capcom fighting game, and a dance dance revolution knockoff that was extremely fun. There is food within the gas station next door, but you can order there and bring it to a booth inside of the arcade. The two are connected so a visit around lunch or dinner time is perfect. My fiancé and I had the salt and pepper wings, and the salt and pepper chicken strips, which were both delicious. I'd recommend both. The cost for a combo is very reasonable. The games use tokens, so be sure to bring cash and most importantly there are games for all ages! Be sure to give this place a try, especially this summer for some air conditioned fun.
