Playing early in the day is a completely different experience than playing in the evening, although this visit our play lasted more than 10 hours we left winners and had an amazing time and a pretty good meal prepared in-house at one of the host restaurants. This is a giant casino with a large variety of machines and tables and a super friendly staff - they continue to reinvest in this property to ensure it provides a wonderful experience in my opinion. This venue provides one of the only form of entertainment that you may leave with more than you arrived with if you treat it like entertainment and never invest more than you can afford to lose, as they say they didn't build these places on winner's so play conservative and within your means. I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints, one of the first things you'll notice when you walk through the doors is it's fill with the smiles of happy people. During my recent visit I looked at the RV Sites, I could see myself staying here for a few days or weeks when traveling to Louisiana to visit family and friends I can't think of a better staycation...

I did not realize the table-game rules are different; with sunglasses not allowed at tables other than poker for one (fine, I didn't know). Instead of a simple explanation, it was handled like I had done something wrong, and when I needed to use my phone, I attempted to step away from the table I was playing at (which wasn't good enough). Instead of a warning, I was immediately threatened with management. When management came and I spoke with them and I asked calmly for a way to contact tribal guest relations since I felt the manner was handled very unprofessionally; I was then threatened with security. (Asking a question is not a reason to call security.) While I was talking to the head of security, a server who already had an issue with me (because I spoke loud in a loud environment) inserted herself into the conversation without being asked. It was passive-aggressive and unprofessional. I was not looking for a fight. I was trying to understand the rules, and I was instead retaliated against for asking. Thankfully, security had no reason to detain me and let me go. I have spent plenty of money at casinos that treat guests with respect but Coushatta treated me like a problem, and that is why I will not return. Do not come and gamble your money unless you want to be treated as a third-world citizen here. I will be cross posting.

Upon looking at the mixed reviews, I admittedly had mixed feelings. But, the movers recommended that we stop by so that's exactly what we did. We cozied up to the bar, met a few regulars, and had an amazing night of laughs and great food at Cajun's Wharf. The plan was to check it out and go unnoticed, but that was not the case. It appears that you can't go inside and not make friends here. Hence, the earlier Cheers reference. TK is a stone-faced sweetheart (but, shhh... I don't think she wants anyone to know), took excellent care of us, and gave perfect recommendations. Sidebar: We were so close to trying "backstrap" as noted and seconded by everyone in earshot, but they were out. Next time, for sure. (Because... when in Rome, you clearly eat backstrap! lol) But, back to what we did try. The duck tenders, the eggs rolls (boudin version), the fried catfish and shrimp were all delish, seasoned well of course, and came out quickly. But, we did want to have some drinks set up just in case. We were looking for some basic liquor, but we forgot in LA, everywhere sells liquor. So this place had mainly wine and higher end liquor. I was able to snag up a bottle of Hibiki Harmony for 60+ tax. It is currently sold out all over town in Houston. They were also very nice and sent us to the gas station down the road which had a wide variety of the basic stuff.

I guess that's a feeling some may get? You can just order up some Jell-O shots it's perfectly legal and easy to access while your texting and driving not that I recommend or am a proponent of either. The service is friendly and the alcohol is reasonably priced so before you start out on that road trip this is a good place to stop, seriously it's meant to be taken home so be responsible and don't remove the tape it's just as easy to remove the lid I hear ;-) I like the concept and I think it's has a purpose so don't get all wound up and freak out, its a choice so you can just say no but I'm thinking most say yes or this business and a dozen more like it wouldn't exist.

From the alligator welcoming you to the overhead Bud airplane, this is not a cookie cutter gas stop. The restrooms were very Covid conscientious. Surprised to see hand sanitizer in each individual stall as well as by the door leading into and out of the restrooms. Soap dispensers were also full. Grabbed a very hot, hot chocolate for the road. A unique stop in Jennings.
