I thought I wrote a review last year when I got my car ceramic coated but I guess I forgot--bear with me. A couple of years ago, I had a mishap in my previous car where some tubeless tire sealant from a bicycle exploded onto my headliner: white latex-y substance dried on the black headliner. After searching the reviews, I set up an appointment with Joey. He took one look at my car and was like I won't be able to get that out. He could have left it at that but he offered me a detailer protip which worked out very well. Didn't charge me a thing. I knew he was an honest guy from that exchange. I bought a new car a few months later in 2024 so I knew that I wanted Joey to ceramic coat it. I chose the mid-tier Ceramic Pro package. The price was fine and totally in line with other detailers on Oahu. Set up the appointment by sending a message on his website. Joey responded promptly. Super easy. On the day of the appointment, I dropped off my car. Since he needed it for the day, I told him I'd just drop it off while I take the rail back to my side of town. He gave me a ride to the station. It was awesome. Later that day, he says the car is ready but I couldn't make it back that day so I picked it up the next morning. It looked mint. Very sleek, slippery to touch so I knew hydrophobic properties of the ceramic were good. In order to maintain the warranty for Ceramic Pro, you have to do annual follow up sort of maintenance details/washes. That's what I did today in Aug 2025. I contacted Joey and set up an appointment. I dropped off the car and he said he'd be done in 1.5-2hrs. He finished in an hour. The car looks great. Zero complaints. Joey is a solid detailer. The maintenance detail was priced decently for Oahu. No issues there either. I asked if he could do a quick vacuum on the interior which he obliged w/ the cleaning of my weathertech floor mats! He said he topped off the ceramic coating but, to be honest, I can't tell. The car feels slippery to the touch but it always does when clean. The ceramic pro brand ceramic coating held up really well after a year. PROTIP FOR THOSE WHO WILL DROP OFF THEIR CAR AND UBER BACK: Joey *had* a location in Ewa Gentry that still pops up as the *first* search result in the Uber app, so make sure you select the Kapolei location. May seem like a no brainer but I made that mistake TWO TIMES. read more

Took my truck here to do just an interior detail and it looked like my 13 yr old nephew could of done a better job! Paid over $200 for what looked like just a vacuum & shampoo cleaning of my floors which mind you wasn't even bad at all! I ended up having to wipe down my dashboard and everything because it was still dirty! I saw this place had good reviews so I trusted to bring my truck here, NEVER AGAIN! read more

Joey love did a fantastic job on my car. He detailed it and put a ceramic protection on it all in one day. Super happy with his professionalism in detail. He took great care of my car. Love's Auto Detail absolutely saved me during a last-minute PCS scramble overseas. I suddenly realized I needed my car shipped in under two weeks, which sent me into panic mode, and that's when I found Joey at Love's. He got me in ASAP, crushed the detail, and made sure my car was squared away and cleared on the first try at the Honolulu VPC. Zero stress, zero issues, and my car looked better than when I bought it. Joey is a true craftsman and I'd recommend Love's Auto Detail to anyone who likes their car clean and their life a little less chaotic. read more

The 5 stars are solidly true. My previous Forester gray paint started to flake after 5 years in the sun and some neglect so when i got the 2024 gray Forester i decided to protect it. My friend had his car ceramic coated 3 years ago and paint looks newly waxed, he continues to get the inside regularly detailed by Joey and loves the excellent job he does. I decided to get my ceramic coating with Joey because of how great my friends car still looks, i knew he does a good job. Even if i have to drive all the way from Kalihi, its was worth it. My car looks great and after the recent showers we had, i loved how the rain beautifully beaded on my car and its so shiny and surface feels smooth and protected. Its comforting to know that my car is protected given my tendency to neglect its care. I loved the results and Joeys professonal, caring manner so much that i am bringing my brothers 2025 Forester in for ceramic coating too, driving again from Kalihi. If you are looking for car detailing or coating, you wont regret choosing Joey. Let all the 5 star, detailed reviews confirm he has proved his talent, good work and good follow up that develops a trust. Garanz....you will be 110% happy customer. read more

WOW WOW WOW to this business!!!!! When I saw what Joey had accomplished with his team on our 22 ram black widow I was in utter disbelief! We took him a disaster & he turned it into a beauty. We requested whatever he could do to help us from wet paint that had spilled going thru a car wash & trashing both the exterior truck paint & bedliner of the truck. Due to emergency of the situation, Love's auto detail thankfully took us on a holiday before the paint could bond & harden to the truck. He knew we were emotional about the unfortunate circumstance & still kept the rate of his service very very reasonable. For what they completed, the price we paid, & in the time they accomplished their magic... hands down the absolute BEST DETAIL SHOP on island!!! A million stars - I thought this truck was a goner & you made it look better than the show room floor! SO SO THANKFUL read more

Thanks for setting my car right Joey! I just bought this car in March and it had swirls and water marks already, but Joey was able to remove them and make my car shine. Usually when I see just 5 stars in the reviews, I wonder what the catch is and how many bots they using to fake reviews. However, with Joey, all the 5 star reviews are true! I got one ceramic coating so guarantee I'll see him in a year for the annual inspection, maybe even earlier. I never really post reviews but I had to for this one! Thanks again Joey! I appreciate the fine work and I'll see you again! read more

We bought a 2017 Fiat Abarth a couple of months ago, and I wanted to get it ceramic coated, even though I've never done this on any of the cars I've owned. We talked to a few places on Oahu. Joey's prices were very reasonable, his shop looked impressive, and we liked the fact that he and his wife do all the work themselves. Joey seemed very knowledgeable (not to mention a really nice guy!) We had estimates that were up to four times what Joey was charging, but we're not price shoppers, we're quality shoppers. One of the reasons we decided to go ahead with the ceramic coating at Love's was because Joey had close to 100 straight five star reviews on Yelp. Who does that? He has to be doing something right to make that many people happy, and the recently finished cars in his shop looked stunning! Our car already looked good when we brought it in for Joey to work his magic, but looked like it just came out of the showroom when we picked it up the next day. I mean it was positively glowing! Joey also gave us advice on washing/maintenance products to use, and set up an appointment with us in a year for a checkup/touchup. This is how you run a business! VERY highly recommended. PS: the place is easy to find. Once you know where it is. When you drive into the parking area of the complex, drive around and BEHIND bldg. 4, right in the middle. read more

Joey Love and his team have been my go-to for all my auto detailing needs since I moved to the Westside. He is extremely responsive despite being busy (he books up quickly, so plan ahead!), detail oriented, and responsible. He usually details my 2019 BMW i8 Roadster every few weeks. Did a ceramic package and let me tell you, my car's paint has never felt smoother or been easier to maintain!!! I did go ahead and get my car PPF'd but Joey is still my go to for exterior and interior detailing!!! Highly recommended. He's really the only other person in my life I trust to drive my car to and from his shop. Joey is mobile and also operates out of his shop in Kapolei! read more

Best detailer for ultra high end vehicles. Have been working with Joey for years and he's reliable, efficient and professional.

simply the best. exceptional quality of work, very accommodating. Nice guy who takes pride in what he does.

Wanted to get ceramic coating on my Prius and the previous owner had run this car through a sandpaper car wash multiple times so it had lots of obvious swirl marks. I called Joey up and he got me scheduled two days later! I had talked to a couple other shops before arriving in HI and they quoted me about the same price but could not fit me in for about 3-5 weeks and would need my car for 3 days. Joey had me in and out within 24 hrs and got out all those ugly swirl marks with a two step correction leaving it looking BRAND NEW. Great work. read more

Joey and his son (also Joey ) absolutely crushed it with my car detail! When I first got my car, it was covered in water spots, especially on the glass and chrome, and no matter what I tried, I just couldn't get it looking right. But Joey worked some serious magic in no time, and my car feels brand new again! They were super friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. I can't recommend Joey & Loves Auto Detail enough. Joey, owner of Love's detail is super nice and helpful. Went to get hubby's truck exterior cleaned and ceramic coating. He did a wonderful job and we even got it back earlier than expected. Joey with Love's Auto is the best! I don't have any knowledge of detailing, but he took the time to provide detailed answers to all my questions on the process, cost, warranties, etc. He applied a ceramic coating on exterior and interior of my 2023 Toyota Tundra at my home. I've continued to keep up my warranty by keeping up with maintenance coatings at least once a year and each time, he is timely and keeps my truck looking great. Highly recommend Joey! read more

Love's auto detail has truly exceeded my expectations. I chose to ceramic coat my brand new Tesla because I wanted the best protection possible. I'm so glad I did! It can go for weeks at a time without being washed, all the while sitting in the hot sun. Knowing that I neglect my car from time to time, I wanted to make sure that it was protected. From the initial booking to the end result, Joey took care of my car and all of my concerns. He even found a scratch I missed upon picking up my brand new car on my bumper. His attention to detail saved me $$$ and Tesla replaced it right away! Thank you Joey!! And on top of that after Tesla replaced my bumper, Joey did the ceramic coating on my new bumper and washed it for FREE!! You can't find people let alone businesses that do that kind of stuff for others. It's a rarity... If you're seeking a top-notch solution to restore and protect your car, Loves's auto detail is a game-changer. Its long-lasting effects and ceramic technology make it a true standout. Joey is top notch with his customer service, and his kindness alone will definitely bring me back for years to come with annual maintenance and future coatings for my car. Joey did an AMAZING job on my 2021 Toyota 4Runner. I got the gold package ceramic pro and when i walked in to pick it up, it looked like my 4Runner was legit in a show room. He was super responsive, got me in within a week, and even met me early at the shop for pick up because i was running late to work. Amazing job! Would 1000000% recommend. A little over a week ago I had the interior of my Malibu cleaned out as a result of my leaving my window cracked open overnight during the recent storm. Needless to say there was a strong mildew smell coming from the area where the window was open. Tried to rid of it myself but failed. Found this place through a google search and was extremely lucky enough to be booked within a few hours. Communication was great as well as the professionalism. Pricing was reasonable and most importantly, the mildew smell is gone! I will definitely be bringing my vehicles here for now on and I highly recommend for anyone else to come here. read more

Love's detailing was able to make a 12 year old neglected Mercedes Benz E500 look almost new. He showed up early which is on time to me. His mobile rig was clean which was the first sign that I was dealing with a professional. He also asked permission to use the water hose, and used a generator to power his vacuum. Things like manners are important to me. He was able to remove water spots that was caused by my in laws car washing technique which was to spray down the car with water and let it air dry. Paint definitely shinier than when we got it. The engine bay looks clean. The interior was shampooed and leather treated. I am happy with the results, and I get to drive it until my daughter gets her license. The car was gifted to her by her generous grandparents. read more
