I thought I wrote a review last year when I got my car ceramic coated but I guess I forgot--bear with me. A couple of years ago, I had a mishap in my previous car where some tubeless tire sealant from a bicycle exploded onto my headliner: white latex-y substance dried on the black headliner. After searching the reviews, I set up an appointment with Joey. He took one look at my car and was like I won't be able to get that out. He could have left it at that but he offered me a detailer protip which worked out very well. Didn't charge me a thing. I knew he was an honest guy from that exchange. I bought a new car a few months later in 2024 so I knew that I wanted Joey to ceramic coat it. I chose the mid-tier Ceramic Pro package. The price was fine and totally in line with other detailers on Oahu. Set up the appointment by sending a message on his website. Joey responded promptly. Super easy. On the day of the appointment, I dropped off my car. Since he needed it for the day, I told him I'd just drop it off while I take the rail back to my side of town. He gave me a ride to the station. It was awesome. Later that day, he says the car is ready but I couldn't make it back that day so I picked it up the next morning. It looked mint. Very sleek, slippery to touch so I knew hydrophobic properties of the ceramic were good. In order to maintain the warranty for Ceramic Pro, you have to do annual follow up sort of maintenance details/washes. That's what I did today in Aug 2025. I contacted Joey and set up an appointment. I dropped off the car and he said he'd be done in 1.5-2hrs. He finished in an hour. The car looks great. Zero complaints. Joey is a solid detailer. The maintenance detail was priced decently for Oahu. No issues there either. I asked if he could do a quick vacuum on the interior which he obliged w/ the cleaning of my weathertech floor mats! He said he topped off the ceramic coating but, to be honest, I can't tell. The car feels slippery to the touch but it always does when clean. The ceramic pro brand ceramic coating held up really well after a year. PROTIP FOR THOSE WHO WILL DROP OFF THEIR CAR AND UBER BACK: Joey *had* a location in Ewa Gentry that still pops up as the *first* search result in the Uber app, so make sure you select the Kapolei location. Paid over $200 for what looked like just a vacuum & shampoo cleaning of my floors which mind you wasn't even bad at all! The 5 stars are solidly true. My previous Forester gray paint started to flake after 5 years in the sun and some neglect so when i got the 2024 gray Forester i decided to protect it. My friend had his car ceramic coated 3 years ago and paint looks newly waxed, he continues to get the inside regularly detailed by Joey and loves the excellent job he does. We bought a 2017 Fiat Abarth a couple of months ago, and I wanted to get it ceramic coated, even though I've never done this on any of the cars I've owned. We talked to a few places on Oahu. Joey's prices were very reasonable, his shop looked impressive, and we liked the fact that he and his wife do all the work themselves. Joey seemed very knowledgeable (not to mention a really nice guy!) We had estimates that were up to four times what Joey was charging, but we're not price shoppers, we're quality shoppers. One of the reasons we decided to go ahead with the ceramic coating at Love's was because Joey had close to 100 straight five star reviews on Yelp. Who does that? He has to be doing something right to make that many people happy, and the recently finished cars in his shop looked stunning! Wanted to get ceramic coating on my Prius and the previous owner had run this car through a sandpaper car wash multiple times so it had lots of obvious swirl marks. A little over a week ago I had the interior of my Malibu cleaned out as a result of my leaving my window cracked open overnight during the recent storm. Needless to say there was a strong mildew smell coming from the area where the window was open. Tried to rid of it myself but failed. Love's detailing was able to make a 12 year old neglected Mercedes Benz E500 look almost new. He showed up early which is on time to me. His mobile rig was clean which was the first sign that I was dealing with a professional. He also asked permission to use the water hose, and used a generator to power his vacuum. Things like manners are important to me. He was able to remove water spots that was caused by my in laws car washing technique which was to spray down the car with water and let it air dry. Paint definitely shinier than when we got it. The engine bay looks clean. The interior was shampooed and leather treated. I purchased Tesla in October, 2022. This was the biggest money spending on a vehicle in my life and if I wanted to invest and for the car to last for a long time, I knew I had to find the best auto detailing vendor to take care of the ceramic coating which I've never done before with any of my vehicles in the past. I found "Love's Auto Detail" through yelp. I've read such positive reviews. The main thing that I look for when I'm reading customers' reviews are things like "professional, responsive, prompt follow up, excellent customer care and take pride in their quality of work". I looked up and searched about a dozen detailing company and "Love's Auto Detail" definitely stood out for me. I contacted the mainline number and the receptionist, Stephanie answered right away. Super friendly, knowledge and most importantly, she "listened" to my concerns and questions. This was my first time ever getting the ceramic coating and I did have a lot of questions. Stephanie was so patience and really explained thoroughly. I explained to Stephanie, I just purchased my Tesla and it's important that I apply ceramic coating before I start driving. I knew they were completely booked out for the month but Stephanie checked and squeezed me into their busy schedule somehow so I was able to bring my car in within a week. Upon dropping off my car, I met the owner, Joey for the first time. Again, I still had a few more questions. Joey was so professional, knowledgeable and explained everything in details. He said he'd keep the car overnight and will call me as soon as the vehicle is ready for pick up. I felt so great about leaving my car with Joey knowing that he will take good care of it based on the interactions and experiences so far. Next morning, Joey promptly followed up with me and told me my car is ready for pick up. I purchased a lifetime warranty and I felt that the cost was very reasonable for the service I received. Fast forward to today(August 2023). Ever since I got my original ceramic coating done by Joey, unfortunately I was involved in 2 separate car accidents. A separate body shop had to repair a back bumper recently which means I had to re-do my ceramic coating. State Farm Insurance Company has verbally approved an estimate from Love's Auto Detail to re-coat the ceramic coating back in March 2022. Comes to find out, they are now taking back what they promised literally one week before I was going to bring my car back to Joey's. There was many communications between myself, Joey and Statefarm. At this time, Statefarm said they'd need to re-evaluate to see if the re-apply can be approved. Joey stepped in and said "Asako, don't worry about it. You're my valued customer, no matter what the result is, I will take care of you. You don't worry about a thing". I did take my car back just today and Joey took care of me. I'm just so grateful and fortunate to be Joey's lifetime customer.
