We've given this restaurant three chances since it first opened, hoping it would improve, but unfortunately the food continues to disappoint. To be fair, the service was perfectly fine--friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The problem was the food. The calamari, a basic Italian appetizer, was overcooked to a crisp and tough to eat. The cioppino was equally underwhelming, lacking the flavor and quality you'd expect from such a classic dish. let me start out by saying I have traveled all over the world, including Italy! this is the best by far the best Italian food I have ever had. my husband and I had the Bruschetta trio, the flavors were explosive! pomegranates on fresh ricotta who would have thought, than we had pollo Alla Parmigiana, the sauce and flavor were amazing, I ordered Pollo Amalifi, let me say the chicken was a blend of butter and Lemmon with capers, it all melted in your mouth! we had the best server, Margo! she had a ton of great suggestions for wine! and delivered the best service I had probably ever had. not a lie. truly authentic Italian restraunt. Came here for the first time the other day and we had a lovely time! The ambiance was nice and dimly lit for fine dining yet the vibe was a little more cozy. The prices were par to fine dining as well. We ordered the fried calamari and crab cakes for appetizers because we couldn't decide. Both were really good especially the crab cakes! For the entree I ended up going with the appetizer of the ravioli roulette, all of them were really good. They had short rib, lobster, lemon ricotta, and mushrooms! My friend had the vodka pasta with added chicken and she enjoyed her meal as well. The service was good, Jackie was our server and she was very attentive. I'll definitely be back. read more

Celebrated a lovely evening here with family. Enjoyed the ambiance, the appetizers and dinner. Ordered a lovely red wine, mozzarella sticks and the burrata. The burrata was unique with grilled apples. For dinner we enjoyed a fettuccine Alfredo, the pistachio crusted salmon which was absolutely delicious and some veggies on the side. Hidden gem in Colleyville! Beautiful Italian with white tablecloths and excellent service. Excellent Italian wine and beer menu (sorry - no cocktails). The food is the star here, though. A group of six of us shared several appetizers including perfectly cooked calamari and an impressive cheese board that paired nicely with our wine. The pasta was delicious. My favorite was the mushroom "black" raviolis. For our mains, we had the red snapper special in an amazing sauce and the chef's scallops in a sauce with just the right amount of kick to pair with the creamy Gorgonzola gnocchi. We went a little crazy on dessert but absolutely worth the calories. Surprisingly, the vanilla ice cream with amaretto was everyone's favorite. This place has a nice ambiance and is great for date night. We started off with focaccia bread and fried shrimp (it was coconut shrimp which didn't seem to fit the Italian theme but still good). We heard about this restaurant recently through a thread on Reddit. Checked it out and saw it had pretty decent reviews. The lasagne description sounded just like my family's recipe from our region of Italy, and the cappelletti in the photos looked large and great. I hand make cappelletti every Christmas. So, I was excited to try this. The inside is nice. Like the decor and the place looked very open and inviting. However, I immediately noticed that the wine glass that was set on the table still had remnants of red wine. Based upon that, we both decided to pass on the wine. Later during the dinner we heard another table send their glass back for the same reason. The bread that came out was quite nice. Very warm and crusty. We enjoyed it along with the evoo and balsamic glaze. We decided to split the Insalata Romana aka Caesar salad. At first glance, the salad looked off color but thought it was perhaps the dressing causing that. After each of us taking a serving, it wasn't the dressing. Almost half of the romaine was browning and wilting. The texture was horrible. We didn't see our waitress for a good while and decided to give up and just let it go. For dinner, my SO ordered the Lasagne alla Bolognese, and I ordered the Cappelletti. Born and raised making fresh pasta from my family's region of Italy, I'm extremely well-versed on how everything should look and taste. I was so excited to see these both on the menu, as I handmade these every year and would love to try it elsewhere. Welp, we waited roughly 30 minutes between salad and the entree coming out. I figured it was going to be due to the lasagne since that can take some time to prepare. The lasagne was cold. Not ice cold, but colder than room temp. The waitress was once again nowhere to be found for some time. So, once again we decided to try it. It looked relatively authentic, but upon tasting, it was completely bland and on desperate need of salt. The bolognese had zero flavor. Only thing one could taste was the rosemary that was on top. The Cappelletti was severely undercooked, which is odd because they were super tiny and looked nothing like the photos. Now these weren't al dente but completely undercooked. They also tasted like packaged pasta. The cappelletti themselves had zero flavor. They were allegedly filled with parmigiano, which is a flavorful cheese. Yet this had zero flavor. I will say the Ragu did have good flavor. Honestly, if they would put this ragu in their lasagne, it would make a world of difference. Only good thing about the Cappelletti is that they were served piping hot. Since we waited 30 minutes for the entree and rarely saw our waitress, we just didn't want to have to wait around any more. We were just so disappointed with our experience that we wanted to pay the bill and leave. I recommend the bread. read more

I love the fact they have an entirely separate vegan menu with a couple different options. The eggplant dish was really good but I didn't love the vegan raviolis and would recommend skipping those which was disappointing. Service was nice and attentive. When we got there though, there was a bug in the wine glass sitting on our table which I think was a freak accident as the place looked incredibly clean, but was definitely off putting. read more

Located in a sizable shopping plaza with lots of other businesses, the restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but the inside is nicely decorated with a bright, modern look. They have an outdoor patio, but the Dallas heat kept everyone indoors that night. After we were seated, our waitress quickly shared recommendations and mentioned that the restaurant was celebrating its 7th anniversary, and she had worked there almost the entire time. We ordered the crab meatballs, ravioli, and eggplant parmesan. The crab meatballs were crunchy on the outside, but the crab flavor was hard to detect. The eggplant parmesan was good, served on a very hot plate, and the eggplant was nice and soft. Overall, it's a nice place for dinner dates or meeting up with friends. Local Colleyville residents making our first trip to Loveria and expectations were beat by both the food quality & flavors and also the service. I had the best wedge salad I've ever had. Very interesting topping that was delicious. For my dinner I had seafood on top of pasta and again the flavor was great. My wife enjoyed her salad and chicken pasta. The house wine was good and a nice value. They offered a free dessert as it was my birthday, but we had an alternative plan to go to Braums and get big cones of ice cream. Both the owner and his wife came over to great us and they made us feel special. We will be back and we will recommend to others. read more

We had a party of 8 for a b-day celebration and were excited to try out Loveria as it seems to get good ratings. Everything is a la carte and on the pricey side so cost adds up fast. Mother's dish was disappointing and the server misunderstood her request and brought out a completely different dish to replace her selection. "Hurry up honey, drive fast..." as I worry I won't make it home in time. I instantly recalled eating Chef Boyardee growing up when Mom at least served it hot! Don't bother here. Wait at the door 10 minutes after the owner acknowledges you, only to chit chat with an obvious regular customer. Sit at a table full of bread crumbs. This was the second clue to what kind of service they have. No waiter because he was too busy, but the owner excused him as she took our order. First bite was, "Huh, this is different." Next few bites exposed the grease and blandness of it all. Waiter forgot us yet had he checked on us I would have ordered more wine to try my best to forget this experience. Who cares about the ambiance when the quality of food is so rancid that as I write this review I cannot taste anything in my mouth but grease. I applaud the place for attempting to capture a real Italian experience. This was a pinterest-fail if ever existed in the food industry. One of the most popular Italian restaurants in the Colleyville area. Loveria is a good spot for date night or a nice dinner. We made a reservation through Yelp, and I am glad we did as when we had gone it was packed. The menu is broken down into appetizers, first course (pasta) and main course (meat/seafood). Many people opt for just a pasta or a main, but we decided to try both! The portions are a bit small, so if you are a big eater just the pasta or main course may not be enough- so be prepared for both haha. The food was delicious, but my main gripe was service and presentation. We arrived at dinner at 7:30, and didn't end up getting our main food until 8:30ish. It was a little frustrating to see the staff sitting at the bar texting, but the food made up for it. Presentation was also not great; I wish for the ambience of the restaurant and price it would be presented a bit better, as the chicken Marsala below just looks like it was casually placed on the plate. Our food unfortunately did not look like some other reviews on Yelp did. We enjoyed the food at Loveria, and the suggestions from the owner regarding the wine pairings was also great, but the lack of service, pace, and presentation play a large role on our dinner at Loveria. read more

Nice to have a good Italian spot as another option here. Pricey for the food. The mussels are great (20.00) appetizer dish, you can add linguini on the side but they charge (6.00) for this. Caprese salad is solid, not served with basil, not used to that. No Alfredo sauce but ask for that white cheese sauce and it's pretty much the same except a bit on the dry side. Kids meal- we orders the lasagna bolognese. Inedible- please take this off the menu, Terrible. Something went terribly wrong with the flavors. read more

Beautiful spot for a Christmas Eve meal. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with lights, and it really put us in the Christmas spirit. Now for the food. The Caponata is absolutely delicious, and I would personally order it as an appetizer, rather than a side dish. The Zuppe de Pesce is also delicious with a slight kick, and the portion was generous. The Cappelletti al Ragu was good, but there was a sweetness in the sauce that I wasn't expecting. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something we would have ordered had we known it would be sweet. Date night at Loveria Caffee, our first visit. Very tastefully decorated, prompt service, too warm for the patio but it's a nice space on the east side. I cannot say enough good things about our meal. The flavors were wonderful and fresh. I have never tasted balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dipping, like this. We ordered a bottle of wine suggested by our waiter it was Happy Hour and discounted and it paired well with each part of our dinner. We split a salad excellent on its own and each had an entree. With the plethora of dining options, that are throughout the surrounding area, I'm so thankful we settled on dinner reservations @ Loveria! The charm of this place alone is enough to make you want to become a regular at this haven. Beautifully decorated, open space, with expansive windows to connect the outdoors to your dining experience. The dining room was arranged thoughtfully and with vibrancy like that of being in an Italian restaurant in NYC or London. The food was impeccable and the selections were plentiful, while the wines and drink offerings did not disappoint. Definitely inspires you to look forward to returning to try more of the various options. We started with an Insalata Romana (Ceasar salad) that had great ingredients (Polenta and Parmesan croutons), and the Ceasar dressing was one of the most authentic dressings I've had outside of Italy. My wife had the Tagliatelle al Brasato w/ a slowly braised Waygu beef, which was amazing, and I tried the Lobster Ravioli! Equally divine, with one of the best creamy Lobster sauces I've ever had. We finished it off with the Limoncello Cake, which literally had us wanting to lick the plate. All in all, this was an incredible dining experience and a very welcome and pleasant surprise to find such quality, ambiance, and attention to detail in the Dallas metroplex. The food is absolutley amazing. The service is very attentive and friendly. The HH is only 2.00 off a glass of wine but I guess I will take it. They have done a good job of making the place look intimate and inviting in spite of the odd location. (strip shop not a free standing place like you would think of a high end restaurant ) I had the Italian sausage and hubby the Lasagna (said it was the best he has every had!) Cute place. Love they have gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options identified. A friend that lives in the area recommended it to me. Started with the Loveria salad and it was great! Had Brussel Sprouts and Mushrooms as sides and both undercooked but to them to go to doctor them at home. However, they did offer to cook them some more but by the time we told our server our main entree was coming out. Had the Bronzino as my entree and the seasonal veggies in that dish were perfect. Wish the other two had been prepared the same way. The fish was dry so I asked for a side of marinara which was delicious. I think I'll try the gluten free gnocchi next time I return. And I will be returning because I want to give them another chance and try some of the Italian wines. They have an impressive Italian wine list.
