My friend and I who had the two fills had to go back to back with the same person because they didn't have any staff to do them. Since we had appointments that were confirmed by the business I was a little surprised by this. She did say some staff went home sick, which I understand. It did end up taking a long time and they didn't end up having the gems I had showed in my inspo pic, which I wish she would've said before she started because then I would've just got a simple color. They charge $5 for cut down on a fill, $10 for the cat eye polish, and $20 for the design. After tip my total came out to $105 which was appropriate. Not sure I would come back unless the tech who did my sisters nails was available, but sadly I don't believe she does liquid gel fill ins. Brighter lighting and they play game shows out loud.

The male owner pointed to the chair I was to sit in for my pedicure. His wife came over to begin my manicure at the same time. Both manicure and pedicure were completed within 35 minutes (granted 2 people were providing services at the same time, but only the very minimum of care was given.) Before my pedicure was over, another client came in who obviously was a regular and who had an APPOINTMENT. The male owner left me to go and start the pedicure for the other lady--which was fine I totally understood that. What I didn't understand was why they were so friendly to her and barely spoke to me. Again--their perogative. At this point, the male owner came back to finish my pedicure. The previous way I was treated along with what happened next is what makes me believe Rick 88 only wants the business of certain people. As I was paying I said that I would like to make an appointment for a manicure. The male owner said to call later to see if there was something available. I said that I knew when I wanted to come and it would be easier to make an appointment right then. He said they did not make appointments. I reminded him that I was there for the manicure and pedicure I had just had because of an APPOINTMENT I had made several weeks earlier. He said that many people made appointments and didn't keep them, so he would not make an appointment. I reminded him again that I had always kept my previous appointments. At this point I told him that I felt like for whatever reason, he and his wife did not want my business. Although he said that wasn't true, I do not believe him. It seems that they pick and choose who they welcome as customers and make it so that those they do not want as customers are made to feel so unwelcome they will not come back. There are plenty of other places in Greenville where a better manicure and pedicure can be found and where all customers are treated with respect and made to feel welcome. Unfortunately, Rick 88 is not such a place.

I stood there awkwardly waiting while multiple employees sat around on their phones. Eventually, a man came out from the back and asked what I wanted. I asked for a full set and was told to sit down. I sat there waiting while three staff members continued scrolling on their phones and watching videos. No one acknowledged me. After the previous customer finished, one worker glued my nails on and then just walked away. Another girl came over to take over -- and proceeded to stay on her phone the ENTIRE time while doing my nails. She didn't greet me, didn't try to make conversation, nothing. Just asked what I wanted and then carried on with a full-blown personal phone conversation for 45 minutes. The quality of the work was terrible. When she asked if I liked them, I hesitated and said "um," and she snapped back, "What's wrong? That's what you wanted." The attitude was unreal. But the second it was time to pay, suddenly she wanted to act friendly and professional. Completely fake. The salon is empty for a reason. Employees sitting around doing nothing, terrible customer service, rushed and sloppy work, and zero professionalism. I hate my nails and I hated the entire experience.
