I Receiver good service here -- wish that I knew the Lady's name. On a weekday morning, I was able to call and get an appointment for services within an hour. I scheduled for a pedicure and eye brow wax. I arrived at the designated time and the Tech was ready for me. I was able to get a quick basic pedicure with a good foot massage. Next we went to the wax room for my eyebrow wax. On the fly I was able to add the under arms. She did a good job on both. Overall, I'm happy with the services received. Oh my goodness, I have never been to such an attentive nail salon in my life. I came here on the Monday before Thanksgiving so that I wouldn't appear so disheveled in front of my parents and family as I returned home for the holiday. I arrived a little before 9:30 am, and the place was already packed! I actually had to wait a few minutes before it was my turn to be served. This wasn't a big deal since I had time and the chairs were comfortable, but I really was shocked that there was already a wait even after just being open not even an hour. Once I started to be served, I saw why there was a wait. I wish I knew her name, but the woman taking care of me did such an outstanding job. I received a basic pedicure with gel nail manicure; it was a combo deal that only costs around $50 (which is so cheap if you consider the price of these two services separately). The woman paid such careful attention to my nails. While I was getting my manicure, I accidentally hit my big toe on a table and smudged the polish. I did not say a word as I did not care that much and did not want her to spend her time redoing it over my mistake. She herself noticed this later and said something like, "Oh no!" I told her "It's ok! It's not a big deal!" and she said "Yes! It is a big deal! We're going to fix! Not ok!" and she immediately got down right there and began fixing my nail with new polish and tools and everything. I absolutely couldn't believe it. I just received plain coloring, but this nail salon has a reputation for doing some amazing designs. I have seen several women out in public with wild nail designs and have asked them where they got it done and they told me it was here at the Grand Palais. While I was getting my services this past week, I saw a woman who brought in a picture of Christmas nails from Pinterest. Her nail technician just immediately was able to mimic that artwork pretty well, using SNS DIP! So impressive! Once I come into some funds at a later time I may want to try this myself! I was very happy that they were able to make a same day appointment for my daughter, granddaughter and I. Unfortunately my granddaughter (just 10 years old) was nicked by the nail technician. Probably one of the best manicures I have ever had. This is third place I've tried in Greenville and I'll definitely be back. It was definitely more time than at some other spots but you can tell the difference in the quality because of it. She took so much time shaping my nails and cleaning up my cuticles to make sure the polish looked good. I have very short nails beds/nails in general so usually people rush through them but I really appreciated the extra effort. I've also had other places use too much polish with gel and had it be super thick but even with 3 coats the polish isn't even close to that weird texture I have had before. Overall my experience was okay, I went in needing a gel fill and it was suggested that I remove the set I had, which made total sense and was not mad about that (it had been done incorrectly at another place). The three stars is due to the fact that I left with raw nail beds. After seeing the shape I asked to reshape before putting the polish on and the filing was done so rough that multiple of my fingers were bleeding and the skin was raw. I get things happen, but frustrating when its on multiple fingers and when my fingers are in pain and stinging over three hours after my appointment. I didn't expect anything but I feel it was a little unnecessary to charge me for nail reshaping when it was done to a point of blood. I like the nails overall but they are really thick and bumpy on some nails. I think Stephanie did my nails. She seemed extremely irritated with me the entire time even though I asked for things that were fair to ask since I was the one paying for it, and apologized for asking to make them a tiny bit more almond shaped rather than just ovals. read more

This was my first time at this nail salon. I found it because it is close to where I live and I've passed it many times. The service was prompt and the nail technicians were all very friendly. The salon is very clean and they have taken extra precautions for COVID19. Even with masks, extra barriers and such it was such a welcoming environment. The girl who be at the front desk always have an attitude and seems like she hates her job. She's very unprofessional and unapologetic. She made a comment and asked was i paying for myself or together (which was including me and my mom) i told her together and she continued to put into the system for myself and then she makes another comment and was like "where is your friend" and i told her outside because i was the one who was paying for both of us and she told me well i already put in the system that your paying alone, when it's not my job that she did that because i told her at the beginning when she asked about payment options that i was paying for the both of us and after i told her no i'm paying together she continues to catch an attitude and snatched out the receipt and gave me it and didn't say have a nice day or anything. Very unprofessional and also DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE !! There very unsanitary, the person who did my brows didn't have gloves on and that caused me to have an allergic reaction and the next day i woke up to a swollen face and neck from there wax and how unsanitary they were messing with my face. I had to rush to the hospital and get on 7 medications and a steroid shot because of this, because if not i could've died by how bad my allergic reaction was. Mind you i have no allergies to anything and this was the first time this ever happened to me and i've been to multiple wax studios and nail salons to get my brows done. Typically I only need to get them redone when my nails have grown out and not because of breaking nails. What I love most about this nail salon though is the customer service. In the year I've been going, I've only experienced one occasion where I was unhappy with my nails. I called and they were eager to have me come back in to fix them. When they fixed them they did not just fix the few nails that were messed up, they took off all the polish and started over without charging an additional fee. I just want to start with saying do not get a lady named Stephanie to do your nails. Myself and my roommate had her recently and both came home crying from how displeased we were with our nails. My roommate was with her from 10:30-1 and I was with her from 1-3 which is way too long. My roommate asked for a simple dip with French tip and she did not know how to do the French tip but still changed her full price. Probably the best nail salon experience I've had. Walking in the door I was immediately taken care of and told about their rewards programs, which is great for a college student. The selection on dip color, as well as gel color, was amazing. It was the largest collection I've seen out of all the nail salons I've been too. I have been a loyal, recurring customer at Grand Palais for 4 years now & have enjoyed the majority of my experiences there. Today, however, part-owner Mai disappointed me. This woman has always acted somewhat passive aggressively towards others, in my opinion. At my appointment with the salon today, I feel as though she was acting out in several, assertive ways. Instead of asking me to please come sit at her work station, she simply stared at me from her chair with her eyebrows raised until I eventually looked up & realized that she was ready for me. She asked me if I "liked to eat salt" very out of the blue -- still don't fully understand how this was relevant --, which was in fact the only question she had asked me throughout the entirety of the appointment besides what nail polish color I wanted. Mai did not ask me what shape I preferred for the nail, if I liked the amount of trim she gave, if I was happy with the results, etc. I felt as though she was handling my arms aggressively as well, & would forcefully push my elbows in & out every 30 seconds, all while deeply sighing & continuously telling me to "relax." At the very end of the appointment, she did not tell me goodbye, until I began to tip her with cash. She then gave a "Thanks, bye bye," but nothing truly appreciative. My disappointment in this experience with Mrs. Mai has unfortunately led me to find a different nail salon in Greenville for these recurring appointments in the future, which I believe is quite a shame considering Mrs. Janet, Mr. Eddie, & Mrs. Kim (for the time that she was employed there at least) have consistently offered quite the opposite experience, as they are much more personable & express patience with their customers. read more
