This gift certificate was paid for in cash and I made sure at point of purchase that this gift certificate was not going to expire. Today my wife went into the store to redeem the gift certificate, they accepted it before they rendered any services. Once the services were rendered the owner challenged the gift certificate and demanded cash payment instead, to which my wife refused. At this point the owner of this began a tirade of verbal abuse and profanity, claiming that the gift certificate was fake and he was not going to let my wife cheat him out of $50. Extremely unprofessional, made very rude comments to my wife and her friend both of which were mortified by his behavior. He is flat out breaking the law when it comes to compliance with gift certificate statutes in the state of North Carolina. Gift certificates are good for their face value for a period of three years after point of sale, this gift certificate was purchase on 12/23/2015, it was valid until 12/23/2018. I like my eyebrows THIN. I told her 1990's pencil thin and even after I showed her a picture, she would not fix my eyebrows. This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon…read more I walked in and the place was completely empty except for one customer. No one greeted me. I stood there awkwardly waiting while multiple employees sat around on their phones. Eventually, a man came out from the back and asked what I wanted. I asked for a full set and was told to sit down. I sat there waiting while three staff members continued scrolling on their phones and watching videos. No one acknowledged me. After the previous customer finished, one worker glued my nails on and then just walked away. Another girl came over to take over -- and proceeded to stay on her phone the ENTIRE time while doing my nails. She didn't greet me, didn't try to make conversation, nothing. Just asked what I wanted and then carried on with a full-blown personal phone conversation for 45 minutes. The quality of the work was terrible. When she asked if I liked them, I hesitated and said "um," and she snapped back, "What's wrong? That's what you wanted." The attitude was unreal. But the second it was time to pay, suddenly she wanted to act friendly and professional. Completely fake. The salon is empty for a reason. Employees sitting around doing nothing, terrible customer service, rushed and sloppy work, and zero professionalism. I hate my nails and I hated the entire experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Absolute waste of time and money.
