I decided to go to D's one day and Shelly took care of me, and helped me get rid of the fungus. Shelly had to actually take two of the acrylic nails off and cut the nails down to help get rid of the fungus. I am happy to say that after two months, the fungus is gone, thanks to Shelly. She asked if I wanted the nail straight across and flat, I said no I would like it rounded a bit. That was a big mistake because she grounded down the nail of one of my fingers on the side into my skin. The side of my finger hurt for a week or more and my skin peeled off. I can't remember the names of the two people who took care of me, but I had a lady doing my nails while a gentleman did my toes at the same time. I really appreciated how attentive she was. Even while working on my nails, she was making sure everything with my toes was being done correctly and that I was taken care of. I got gel on my nails and toes, and I also asked for an overlay on my natural nails. She added acrylic to the tips where needed before finishing them, and I loved how everything turned out. Apparently not many "guy" customers as they asked "what did I want ". A pedicure , please. So the lovely lady (thank God not the guy ) put me in the fancy massaging, vibrating recliner and started soaking my feet. Then washed my feet and soaked again. Then cut my toenails ( very tough ) and smoothed them up with a little grinder. Then foot massaging and some lotion. It was great and she smiled the whole time. For an old guy like me, this was quite a self indulgence !
