*review is based on reply to AI find-a-business conversation only*…read more TL;DR: weren't able to do a simple alteration (due to a quality that i noted in the AI chat message sent over to them) that another business had no problem with, BUT they were quick to reply and told me no without having me come in im not sure how simple of alterations they do, but it seems to be simpler than the surrounding businesses' usual. i was requesting a simple side take-in of a polyester dress with mesh overlay (notated in the AI message sent out), but they were unable to do it. for background, i am an intermediate-level DIY seamstress, with a grandmother who runs a sewing/alterations store (a state away which is why i reached out to businesses here). this is a pretty simple alteration, so i was surprised when they said they could not do it. i drove to the closest alterations place that was open, and they had no problem with the dress fabric regarding the take in (i showed the dress before i bothered trying it on to make sure) i am attaching the details yelp provided to the business as well as the conversation. the only additional thing i added to the AI was the part of the side seams with zipper in the back, maybe altering cups (after i responded to them saying that, for the other businesses to see that information) im not sure if this is a review more so on the business or AI feature. i will say- they were quick to reply and did tell me no, rather than having me come in and telling me no or potentially messing up the dress.

Attention! Stay away from this place! They ruined my $400…read moresuit. The owner was very unprofessional. He would not give me my suit unless I paid for it. I paid him then I called my bank and put in a claim for bad service and got reimbursed.

When you go to the dry cleaners, do you look forward to being yelled at? How about having your…read morepile of shirts thrown at you? Maybe the idea of "customer service" is overrated in your book and you like it when a retailer humiliates you in front of others? If so, then In & Out Cleaners is your place to patronize. I took in 5 shirts. 4 were collared button down men's cotton shirts. The 5th was a Nehru collar type button down men's cotton shirt. The day before, I had walked in to ask about their pricing. I was told it was $1.39 for any laundered men's shirt. But, on this day in question, the 5th Nehru collar shirt was charged at $4.50. When I asked about it, the clerk (an older, middle-aged man) told me that it was special and could not go on the same machine as the others. It would have to be dry cleaned. If this had been the first time I ever took that shirt in for cleaning, I might have fallen for it. But, I've owned that shirt for a number of years and taken it in with the others more times than I can recount. Every other dry cleaners has laundered and pressed it with no complaint. So, I asked him to remove that 5th shirt from the ticket and I would take it back before they even started working on it. That's when the fireworks began! He yelled at me "No! No! No!" and gathered up all 5 shirts. He pushed them in my face. He wouldn't listen to any reason. By then, another customer was in the store. It was a humiliating experience. I feel as if this person could be so socially unstable as to act out over this minor incident, there is no predicting how they might act if you had a serious conflict - like a damaged blouse or a lost article of clothing in their care. Go in at your own risk. But know that across the street next to the Dunkin Donuts, there is another cleaner and in every direction a few blocks further, there are others. There is no reason to subject yourself to caustic behavior just for a cheap dry cleaning.
