I am a seamstress, very knowledgeable. However I do not enjoy altering linings. All she had to do was this specific alteration. Instead she did as she pleased or perhaps it was ignorance. This person added a crooked stitch around each cuff destroying the lines of the sleeve. The material and design of this jacket is to look like suede. Adding this stitch destroyed the illusion and makes it looks cheep and tacky. There is no repair- removing the stitch would leaves holes and show making it look even worse. My complaint/request to be reimbursed for the jacket was ignored by the owner. It was bought on sale for $80. Instead they lied, said they had returned it to it's original condition, taken the sleeves off and added back the sleeve length. Not physically possible as the extra material had been cut off. The owner only called back after I complained again. He added anther lie, said the sleeve was repaired and looked "perfect". False. They had only removed the crooked stitching and pressed the cuff flat which further drew attention to the destruction. Ignorance. Non professional. I again requested reimbursement. Refused. The owner demanded the sales receipt, focused on the date and age of the jacket. This has NO bearing on their mistake and not following the instructions of the customer. Obviously I had never worn it. It is now ugly and cheep. It was bought 7mns ago. I don't have the receipt. My calls were not returned. This is poor, poor unprofessional behavior. Not acceptable.

On leaving my comforter, I mentioned to the proprietor that the comforter was dry clean only. After I picked my comforter up and took it home, I found that it was completely ruined. Lee's Cleaners had washed it in the washing machine and dried it in the drier. When I took it back to Lee's Cleaners, the proprietor said he washed it in the washing machine even though it was dry clean only. He actually read the tag to me where it says dry clean only. He insisted that nothing was wrong with the comforter, and because it was polyester and made in China, it could be washed in the washing machine and dried in the dryer anyways. The fabric has lost its soft texture. The comforter is all wrinkled and because it is ruched, can't be fixed. Also, the inside of the comforter is all balled up and crooked. The proprietor of Lee's Cleaners was very rude, cursing at me and calling me crazy. He refused to reimburse me for my comfoter even though he did not follow the cleaning directions and clearly ruined my comforter. This cleaner is dishonest and does not take responsibility for his mistake.
