HIRE NEJLA! Just do it. If you're like me, hiring a stylist seemed like a totally unnecessary…read moreexpense. A huge splurge. I'd always said I'd do it someday, as I kept dressing in whatever had survived since college. I'm a 35-year-old professional; I needed to level up! I hired Nejla for a closet cleanse, four hours of shopping, and a look book shoot so I could remember how to put everything together. One thing I was dreading was the six hours of hanging out with a stranger, making small talk. I should not have worried! She's so personable and easy to talk to. Nejla is very budget conscious and got my comfort level/budget up front. When I mean a new wardrobe--we bought everything from shoes to rompers. It was worth every penny, but more than that I so appreciated Nejla's approach. She talked me through the whys of what she was selecting and left me feeling super empowered too. Even our salesperson at Nordstrom was like a buddy by the end of our trip (4 hours flew by, which I couldn't believe!). Do it, you won't regret it!!

I became even more fashionably lost during the pandemic -- after all, like many people I spent 2 years working from home and wearing nothing but leggings. I landed my dream role working at a fashion magazine last summer, and I wanted to walk in feeling confident in what I wore. Nejla absolutely came to my rescue. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little hesitant at first, but Nejla was professional, and quite frankly calming from day one. Her method is well thought out and really works. We got rid of dozens of pieces during my closet clean out that no longer served me, and during the shopping process she not only leaned into clothes that I was drawn to, but also got me out of my comfort zone. She had me try on pieces that I never would've imagined wearing (this is where you really have to trust the process), and now some of those items are staples for me. I've always hated shopping -- and i know a lot of people can relate -- but she makes it an incredibly fun experience, and the four hours FLEW. My favorite part, though? Putting together the lookbook. After our shopping spree she put together 60 (!) outfits and curated them in a shared photo album so I can go back and find inspiration when I need it. Okay I lied -- my favorite (and the most invaluable) part of the whole experience is the confidence I gained in myself. I never received compliments on my outfits in the past and felt a little mismatched. Since working with Nejla I now walk into any room feeling like a million bucks, whether i'm at the office, on a date, or just hanging out with friends. And without fail, I get compliments on almost every single outfit. Nejla helped me become more like myself in a way that I never thought was possible. For that I am forever grateful.

The new job came with a nice pay bump so I figured I'll dress nicer. I reached out to Katie when I was visiting New York and she was able to squeeze me into her schedule within a short notice. As someone who never really shopped, I really didn't know what to expect. Katie held my hand through the process and the whole experience blew me away. Before meeting Katie, I filled out a form that asked me who my role models were, who I thought looked really good in TVs and movies, and other personality questions so Katie could get a feel of the kind of personality I want my style to convey. I really wanted a Harvey Specter look. HA! When Katie and I met, I confessed all my physical insecurities to her. Specifically, I had short stubby legs and finding jeans had always been a problem. Some jeans make my legs short and others make my legs look fat. Fortunately, Katie listened without judgement and none of my shortcomings unfazed her. After about 20 minutes of chatting and getting to know each other, we started shopping and I had the best time of my life! Katie and I waltzed into Banana Republic and Katie immediately grabbed a handicapped fitting room (there were no handicapped person in the store). She asked me to try on some stuff and while I was putting them on, Katie disappeared and returned with a pile of jeans, pants, and shirts. In my past shopping experience, it usually takes me hours to find jeans that fit. So when everything Katie picked fits my body type, I became the happiest person in the world! I eagerly tried on everything Katie brought into the fitting room and we spent most of our time going through the styles and colors and finding the right combination that would make me look my best. By the time we were done, we had a huge clothing pile of maybes and definitely-nots. After Banana Republic, we shopped at Bloomingdales in the same process. I would spend all my time trying on clothes in the fitting room while Katie looks, gives feedback, and brings in more and more clothes. We looked at styles and picked the most flattering styles for my body. By the end of the shopping experience, I had a head to toe wardrobe combination for every occassion (formal, business, business casual, casual, and very casual). Complete wardrobe makeover! Its been a little more than a month since my shopping experience with Katie and I can honestly say Katie had changed my life for the better. I get complements on my new look and I became more confident. After looking my best every day, I started developing a sense of what looks good on me and what doesn't. I didn't know how to shop before meeting Katie, but now I have a good idea of what to look for. Thank you Katie.

Purging felt SO good (we must've gotten rid of 10 bags of clothes, shoes, accessories, etc) and once she helped me pick out new styles and put together fresh outfits it made me realize how nice it was to finally move on from the past (and helped me to see that in fact so many of my old outfits weren't working/didn't suit my body) Working with Katie definitely created a shift in my life that I wasn't expecting! It brought on a lot of confidence and made me open to new things in my life in general. Katie really has a gift and I'm so glad I went through that experience with her! Also because she helped me see what outfits work for me, now I tend to buy better quality pieces that work and I don't have excess clutter.

I worked with Jenny during the summer, while 6 months pregnant and needed to refresh my wardrobe with work & weekend wear that could grow with my belly. Not only was jenny able to source me the best capsule wardrobe, but she did it effeciently, thoughtfully, and nailed the maternity component without stocking my closet full of 1x use maternity clothes. Jenny goes above and beyond other stylists I have worked with. This ranges from having all the clothes beautifully packaged and steamed for try on to showing up with a variety of options and thoughtfulness behind the options. I walked away with a 50% hit ratio from Jenny's suggestions and now waking up and getting dressed everyday is a joy and not a chore. I feel put together, fashionable without being too trendy, comfortable, and a true version of myself. Jenny sources pieces across the price spectrum and does not push items onto her clients -- she is the first to say "oh. you have something similar, let's skip this" or she is also the one to say "this is how you style of work, the weekend, and date night " all with the same pieces. This is one of the best investments I have made in myself in a long time. It saved me hours upon hours of trying to shop online and returning items that didn't fit and it has shaved off time in the morning for me while getting ready. I cannot recommend Jenny enough -- it's such a wonderful investment and I cannot wait to work with. her again!

I consider myself to be a pretty good dresser but too often I buy something for the wrong reason and never wear it. Or I can't figure out what to wear between working out a dressing up. It was a splurge and a treat to hire a stylist but I'm very glad I did. I had her start by helping me edit my wardrobe. In the process she used her very light touch to rid me of things that were no longer in style and began teaching me what worked best for my lifestyle and body type. I feel like I got so much out of just this first appointment. The information she left me with has already influenced my shopping choices. If you're in the market for a stylist, Jenny's a great choice.

Anna was able to modify the dress to make it look as if it was ordered specifically for my measurements. You couldn't tell any work had been done it. The dress was very intricate in detail with lots and lots of lace. Anna was able to adjust everything needed on the dress so that it was in its place proportional to where it should be on me. During my last fittings, I noticed that I couldn't get my arm high enough for my first dance (this is an off the shoulder dress and those are inherently limited in arm movement because of where the fabric goes around the arm), not only did she alter it to add a bit more fabric that completely matched the dress and allowed me the needed extra movement, Anna did this all in less than 24 hours as I needed the dress by the next day to take back with my to CA where my wedding was. In addition to this, I had brought new shoes to my last fitting, and of course they were a different height than the previous shoes I had used during my fittings. Was this a problem for Anna? Nope! She was able to shorten the dress as well for the next morning. Anna is not only a great seamstress/alterations expert, but also such a pleasure to have done business with! She truly cares about her clients and strives to provide excellent service with every interaction. She also did alterations for my mother's mother of the bride dress. This was a heavily beaded dress which needed to be let out and shortened. The work on this dress was more than my wedding dress I think. You could not tell any work had been done it. Anna even added some sleeves as we needed something to cover my mom's arms for the ceremony. I highly recommend Anna for any alteration work needed. The business establishment is very professional with large mirrors and couches, not a little closet with a small thin mirror. You will truly feel like you are in expert hands, because you are!

She also wanted to feel more confident with her professional outfits and level up her wardrobe for date nights. Bryn works on a flat per-hour rate rather than requiring you to purchase a package. She came to our apartment for a closet edit, did a personal shopping trip at Club Monaco with my wife, and then came back to our apartment to help my wife create outfits and put together a lookbook for her. We were so impressed with Bryn's work that I decided to work with Bryn too. I gave Bryn an inspiration album of the style I was aspiring to embody and showed her my favorite clothing when she was here to help my wife. Bryn took me to Nordstrom and picked out a number of shirts, pants, shorts, blazers, and shoes for me to try on. She has an eye for unique pieces that have elicited compliments for my clients. I had some sizing issues with a couple of the clothes, so we ordered some for delivery, got a few pieces altered, and re-grouped over email (complimentary) to think about alternatives. My wife and I were both impressed with Bryn's sense of style, professionalism, and attitude. We highly recommend that you work with her.

But when I felt like I had nothing to wear in my stuffed closet, I reached out for help. I got so much more than I signed up for! Bryn came over and we edited a lot--some clothes to sell, some to donate--and some to tailor in new and fresh ways. (She is also an actual fashion designer so can really weigh in with tailoring.) Then Bryn created totally new looks with pieces I already owned, adding jewelry and shoes--it was so exciting, I just kept marveling and saying "I would have never thought of that!" Bryn took my wardrobe to a whole new level, while staying true to my individual style. She really, really gets fashion and fit and just has an amazing way of amping you up. The best part is she flat-lays all the looks and creates a digital or printed lookbook. I keep mine in photo albums on my phone that I refer to. In addition to seasonal closet edits and styling at home, I have also shopped with Bryn in department stores--where they all know and love her. When you arrive, Bryn has a beautiful dressing room set up full of clothes she has picked for you. Amazing and fun and the best shortcut to finding great pieces that work for you.
