I loved that she was very positive. She did not judge any of the clutter and, when I was overwhelmed while unearthing some family photos, she gave me some space to recover. I loved that she did a lot of the "grunt work." She physically took everything out of the closets and the vacuumed the floor of the closets!!! Then we went through the piles together quickly: keep or donate or recycle. No mound of "homework" for me, no "sparking joy" nonsense. She followed up with an emailed list of reminders but, unlike the Marie Kondo method, it was never having to do things like physically sort mounds of clothing. It involved reminders to hang some pictures, to finish shredding, going to the Apple store to donate computers and phones, and the like.
