I started the evening at the bar with a caipirinha, a traditional Brazilian cocktail. I was served by Jaia (I believe that was his name), who was from Brazil, and he was very friendly and welcoming. The drink was a great way to start the evening. We were then seated in a private side room and began with the salad bar. There was a nice variety of options, including the Brazilian cheese bread, which I really enjoyed. I'll be honest--I'm not a huge meat eater, so the selection of meats wasn't necessarily my favorite part of the experience. We had chicken thighs, steak, chicken livers, and sausage. Unfortunately, I didn't find the meats particularly impressive. For me, that was probably the weakest part of the meal. For dessert, we had cheesecake and chocolate cake. The cheesecake was very good, while I found the chocolate cake to be a little dry. Overall, I'm glad I got to experience Rodrigo Grill with such a large group, but based on the food, I'm not sure I would make a return visit for dinner. That said, I would definitely consider coming back to enjoy a few drinks at the bar, especially if the service is as friendly as it was during my visit.
