Spirit doesnt offer the same customer service as the Costume Shop in Cambridge. Highly recommend shopping there. Michael.

Had an amazing company event here with 16 people. We played multiple first-person-shooter games of…read more8 players each, either free-for-all or on teams of 4. The employees were very helpful and the equipment (HTC Vive) was sufficient. The experience could've been much better for a company event if it displayed our actual names instead of randomized names, and if some people had a bit more time to get used to VR. There were the standard difficulties with glasses, people not understanding controls, and people having trouble seeing clearly...all of which might have been cleared up with a bit extra time at the start. Still, it was a great experience.
A layman's review of a Virtual Reality spot!…read more Take off your shoes. Get in your booth. Put on the headset that drowns out your current reality. Put some controls in your hands (making sure you strap on the wrist loops) and off you go. Where you go is only limited by your imagination oh and maybe how long you have booked the booth for and what games there are and... It actually is pretty cool. We had a lot of fun. Couldn't figure out the group play thing to shoot zombies together until the end but it is pretty awesome even in single player mode. You do feel like you are somewhere else. And it does make the time go very fast. Real time that is. Is it perfect yet? Nope. Would I go back? Sure. Maybe won't touch but would not mind trying. I do think there are some improvements to be made. So in reality 3.5 stars. But the staff (adults) are cool. So the extra half star is awarded for their service in the line of duty. Bring your dad, mom, kids, and do try this out, that is if there is anyone out there like me that hadn't had the pleasure.

Stopped by here on the way back to Toronto after a long road trip. We wanted to do some 5-pin…read morebowling and were glad to find a place that offered it. Good value as we each got a game of 5-pin, 10-pin and mini-golf for a very reasonable price. The 5-pin lanes were great and the mini-golf was satisfying if not a bit short. I don't see too many string 10-pin machines and the pin action on these were quite dead (they should probably replace the pins or use higher quality ones) but this place doesn't let on as a serious bowling establishment as it's more of a fun, carnival type atmosphere so I'm not about to complain about that. We would come again next time we're in town.

The type where you go back and become a regular. I came in and the atmosphere was already a 10/10 for me, I like that I wasn't bombarded right away I made my way to the front and the lady explained everything let us pick and didn't continue to bug us she let me and my friend enjoy our time together and came up a few times to ask how we are. Which I love I have lots of anxiety in crowds and feeling overwhelmed in places. I felt so relaxed I didn't try there drinks but they had coffee and tea you could choose from. I will 100% be coming back. As for prices I did a drain that was $28 dollars expensive but at the same time was my first time I do not know prices and was worth the experience.

Check-in was fast, even with the long lines. What's interesting is that the front desk has these little assorted vitamin tablets to put in your complimentary water bottle. I've never seen that before, but maybe that's what happens in a country with socialized healthcare. I totally appreciate that! The room itself was clean. The AC worked fine. I find that the air can be dry in hotel rooms, but I didn't experience any issues. The lobby has a lot of seating. The on-site restaurant had good food and great service. The staff was VERY patient with my big and loud family, which I also appreciate. The property isn't too far from shopping and restaurants. Though it was summer so the weather was nice. I can't imagine walking in the middle of winter, though I guess walking would be safer than driving for me since I'm not used to driving in the snow. The nearest grocery store is like a 5-min walk so it is doable. I recommend this Marriott property if you need a place to stay in Waterloo since it's close to restaurants, shopping, and the university.

The suites are enormous and feature a king bed and pullout sleeper sofa. There's a good sized kitchenette area that's completely stocked with dishes and cutlery plus fridge/freezer, microwave, sink and dishwasher - no cooktop. Bathroom is large and well lit and the towels are nice and large. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The free WiFi is very good or you have the option to upgrade if you're doing something that requires a lot of refreshes. We had no problem watching Netflix and doing work without the upgrade. Parking costs additional - $12 per night at time of review. There is a small garage and lot adjacent and a large parking area beneath the hotel. There are electric charging spaces available also. Facilities include an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. There's also an indoor pool, sauna and gym. Everything is clean and modern and the central location can't be beat - highly recommend.
